I also have to say I’m uncomfortable with blanket statements that the UK doesn’t have an issue with racism. We are not above it or better than all the other countries of the world, everyone has an issue. I don’t appreciate random Americans on Twitter telling us about it and how to fix it - look to your own backyard - and also don’t think that the objections to Meghan’s behaviour were based on her being biracial. It’s not nice to be told your country is a bit racist sometimes, especially when most people try really hard not to be and are learning but I don’t think denying the experiences of BAME people in the UK of racism is helpful.
