I agree with
@Chita as I bow to my Bezos overlord. In addition to what she noted, Amazon also kept people fed and clothed during the pandemic and gives small businesses a global platform. I have a socialist niece (who, ironically, works an entry level job well below her education level because her husband earns a huge salary working for a billionaire) who
witches that there shouldn’t be billionaires like Bezos. Ok, well then YOU invent a platform that revolutionizes commerce.
Anyhoo, I find the phrase “poison in his blood” very apt. I think that Megz feeds him a steady stream of pharmaceuticals and bile. If life in the RF is so horrid, how come all of the other “spares“ are able to thrive within it.
Look at all the gossip Sarah Chatto and David Armstrong-Jones endured - with their parents acrimonious marriage and constant public cheating and rarely around, Or Zara and Peter Phillips and finding out their father had another daughter in Australia not much younger than them. I don’t know if they have a relationship with her, but they are definitely close to their half sister from their father’s second marriage. They clearly love their imperfect parents and have made peace with their circumstances.
As we have pointed out before - W&C had Camilla’s granddaughter as a bridesmaid ELEVEN years ago! Can there be any clearer message of acceptance? C&C have now been married longer than Charles and Diana were.
In some respects (and not speaking to clinical depression) happiness is a choice. We all know people who grew up in the most horrific of circumstances, who choose to not let that define them and choose to life joyously. Just in this group, we have people who grew up in real poverty and neglect who have not let that define their lives. My own father grew up with a mentally ill mother who was incapable of loving anyone, and yet he was the most generous, gregarious man you could imagine.
My patience is just razor thin with these overindulged brats.
