Wow, that would totally make sense I guess...Latest Blind Gossip (sorry can't link) saying they are being so secretive about Archie as they were holding out for a multimillion pound magazine deal - one million for charity, another secret million for them. Nothing to do with the baby's security. But too many people in high places found out and are highly disapproving so idea stopped or on hold.
She thinks she’s so smart monetizing the monarchy, as if nobody but her could come up with that idea. She just doesn’t get that you don’t get to live in castles while working a maximum of half a day a week while being funded by tax payers AND monetize and merch your baby as if you weren’t tax payer funded. You can’t have it both ways Meg-Antoinette...Latest Blind Gossip (sorry can't link) saying they are being so secretive about Archie as they were holding out for a multimillion pound magazine deal - one million for charity, another secret million for them. My exact thoughts. No "haters" to create a mock version etcI’m sure she’s just ensuring that nobody else can buy the domain names.
Yeah it is like how Taylor Swift bought taylorswift(dot)porn etc so people could use them. Hahah. https://www.cbc.ca/news/trending/ta...t-porn-before-trolls-get-the-chance-1.3005556My exact thoughts. No "haters" to create a mock version etc
Peter Philips sold wedding pictures to OK or Hello so the family just refused to be in those pictures. He’s not even a working royal and the family didn’t like it.She thinks she’s so smart monetizing the monarchy, as if nobody but her could come up with that idea. Super tasteful to have a brand about kids with a reference to alcohol...Meghan has the rights for The Tig and Tigtots. Is she going to divorce Harry and start blogging again
How Meghan Markle is STILL keeping the door to her old life open
MEGHAN MARKLE closed all her social media accounts, wrapped up her lifestyle blog and moved her life to the UK before marrying Prince Harry. But it seems she’s not totally shut the door to her former life.www.express.co.uk
What’s the reference to alcohol?Super tasteful to have a brand about kids with a reference to alcohol...
Meghan named her blog The Tig after her favourite wine, Tignanello. What’s the reference to alcohol?
The TIG is a hub for the discerning palate – those with a hunger for food, travel, fashion & beauty.
Tigtots suggests soIt was never meant to be a kid-centric blog, was it?
Not when she was an actress trying to leverage her brand while on a cable show, but she just trademarked 'TigTots' which is obviously a branding pivot to kids...It was never meant to be a kid-centric blog, was it?
The reason I shared it was, I'm wondering if she's trying to keep the door open when she ditches HarrySeems an extraordinarily petty criticism. Not only is the connection not at all obvious, children are aware that wine exists and generally without disastrous consequences.. Ok it might be very slightly weird to name a brand aimed at kids after a wine directly but who cares really ?! They’re far more likely to think of Tigger. And it’s a simple case of brand evolution, if she is doing anything with it at all, which doesn’t seem to have been confirmed.
That's fine, your perspective. I think it's a sign of poor branding and distasteful to have any association between children and alcohol. The association with tigger is also not something they can encourage given that is all tied up with Disney. The connection to her original name inspiration for the blog will always be there because the internet doesn't forget...Seems an extraordinarily petty criticism. Well it makes good business sense to keep the name, any marketing company would say the same. It’s an established brand and so is a cheat code in a sense. That's fine, your perspective. Plus, why does she need to keep up the brand trademark, let alone create a new children focused one? Unless, as @antisocialmedia mentioned, she's preparing for a possible divorce and post-royal brand renaissance.
Why does it make business sense? Sophie proved having a job and being a working royal doesn't work because of conflicts of interest.Well it makes good business sense to keep the name, any marketing company would say the same. It’s an established brand and so is a cheat code in a sense.
More importantly I bet 99/100 people associate ‘the Tig’ with Meghan Markle, not with wine, not with with children, not with lifestyle blogging. The name is hers to do whatever she wants with (not addressing whether she should or not that’s a whole different discussion.)
