As someone from the U.S., NY in particular, I can say that what your friend's wife said a pretty accurate. The Royal Family is very respected here in the U.S. Prince Phillip's death was also marked with stories on the news with people expressing their sadness. I believe the overall opinion of the RF by Americans is very positive. They are well respected for the most part. people still think poorly of PC for the whole Diana/Camilla tampon thing. No respect for Foot Fetsh Fergie, and PA’s Epstein troubles are just starting to pick up steam. But HM is so beloved and well respected. every family has some shifty characters, and we feel for the Queen having to deal with her black sheep. We connect with the idea of crappy family and can relate. just seen the Body Languge guy on IG and a "friend of Markles"was interviewed and the interviewer asked if she's seen baby Lidl she answered "Yes , Of course" Jesus the body language guy points out her responses/lack of eye contact, and concludes that she's not exactly telling the truth.

I’m not sure how CA does it, but here (and in the three other states I have owned houses) your taxes are generally collected and paid by your mortgage company as part of your mortgage payment. That money is put into the escrow account and used to pay your homeowners insurance and property taxes. Generally they pay those twice a year. At the end of the year, your total payment gets adjusted to account for rise or fall of your taxes and insurance.

The blogger states the harkle property has gone down in value. I no longer live in California, but I have friends and family there. The real estate values in Santa Barbara are not depreciating. I just checked several sites and value was estimated between $16,000,000 and $23,000,000. Those house obviously don't sell quickly. The housing market is crazy in the US right now. The lefty cities which have allowed anarachy aka peaceful protests (which include, vandalism, looting, arson, assault and battery,) and have decimated their law enforcement departments like Seattle, Portland, etc have seen prices go down. The rich are enclaves have stayed stagnant, or gone up in value. The house I bought a 1.5 years ago has allegedly doubled in price. (I could not buy a house here today). It's not sustainable, I think we will see a market correction if covid every goes away. The value of the house where I use to live, which is in a resort area in Northern Calif. is off the charts. The truth is, in the USA, the middle class has been clobbered by our current economy. The wealthy people still seem to be -well wealthy and live in giant, resource gobbeling houses, and then moan about climate change.

I honestly dont understand why anyone needs a house that size, although Hazno of course grew up in them. Everything must be so bloody far away!! even playing tennis or going for a swim looks like a route march from that aerial view. Imagine the irritation if you left your sunglasses/book/whatever in the house and by the time you've got to the pool it's already taken 10 minutes. I suppose that's what staff are for...
