According to Sian, Lauryn was given the opportunity for Kairo to meet the Walker boys but she declined.
I think the conditions were that Kairo could meet them alone or with another chaperone and not Lauryn, which is why she declined because she couldn’t twist the narrative to suit her and then go and sell a story.

She’s a toxic witch and needs to be kept well away from Annie’s children.
