I cannot believe the number of TRAs atm saying stuff like 'transwomen are women like black women are women' in relation to what's happened to Sarah Everard? Do they seriously not realise how outrageously racist that is...transwomen are at best transwomen (men) black women are undeniably women. If you apply the slightest bit of pressure to the reasoning behind that comparison it is just hideously racist and they think they're progressives..

I never get this, I think I have said this before, but when have black women ever NOT been called women?! I am not doubting at all that they experience more discrimination as being both women and black, but that is precisely it, because they ARE seen as women. wtf is this?! They have ALWAYS been women. The slave owners knew who to grape, who to breed to create more slaves, etc. They were never not considered women, they were considered inferior to white women because of their race (and all the discrimination that came with it).

A lot of it is based on the old racist stereotype that black women "look like men" compared to white women. They're saying that, if you consider black women (who look like men) to be women then you should also consider trans women (who look like men) to be women.
