I'm sorry to be blunt but I feel same sex attracted people owe the trans community absolutely nothing. What have trans people ever done for gay people? Except gaslight the hell out of lesbians and so on. The latest destroying of a gay magazine is a frightening turn of events
Totally agree and also find it repulsive that they’re demanding solidarity from LGB people when they’re trying to invalidate those same people’s sexual boundaries? When I was growing up, the word for people who were happy to date people of any sex or gender (so included trans people in their pool) was pansexual. Does that no longer suffice?

Repulsive is the right word

And oh, look! Bully boy Owen Jones himself is front and centre of this. You'd think after bullying Suzanne Moore out of the Guardian he'd realise he's not one of the good guys, but nope, he's determined to crack on with pushing people out of jobs. Why is pushing this pernicious ideology more important to him than his fellow gay men having a right to free speech and employment? Honestly, this has me shaken to the core

I’ve known similar. I act ‘innocent’ and ask them if they feel any less homosexual when with a guy and they go down on his tina which turns to ‘confused’ as they sputter no and try and explain why “it’s not the same”.
had to laugh, this arrogant gay kid at my uni always once in a while says tit to me about how a fool made of arm large and covered in hair that can't get it up or a dildo is the same as a real fool, or why wouldn't I date trans men, uno reverse card his a and he gets quiet real fast. Not so keen on going down on them too. Hate SJW tit, they're pushing me to the right of the political spectrum (im a center/moderate probably).

Boyz has been supported by the gay male community since it founded in 1991. Somehow I don’t see the T community supporting Bxyz for the next 29 years to the year 2049, but perhaps I’m wrong 🤷🏽‍♂️

I think this sums up OJ. The way he flings his papers down when told “I’ll choose the words I want to use and you can choose the words you want to use”!

I’ve only watched half of it but it seemed fairly alright to me, don’t agree with what they’re saying at all but it didn’t seem offensive
I suppose it’s not really offensive but it’s just more pandering. They don’t really say anything in the video which gives a clear idea of what being transgender is, just the usual airy fairy nonsense, and one of them even conflates sex and gender which I thought was a big no no because the 2 apparently aren’t related.

He’s such a toss pot. Why do some people speak on behalf of the LGBT community as if they’re one homogeneous mass who all agree on the same things? Who the duck is Owen Jones to declare something should be removed from lgbt spaces? It’s like he thinks everyone in the community is as left wing as he is or should be.

I don't consider Owen Jones Left Wing. Left Wing is about fighting for people to have equal access to food, housing, education and the trans ideology is nothing as useful as that.

wether you personally do or don't doesn't matter, from what I know left-extreme left parties in most countries are pandering to this tit, not right wing or center/other parties.

In this country it was the Tories that proposed introducing Self-ID and reform to the GRA! What I have found about the Tories though is they are open to adapt and change and with that comes a veneer (even if it’s false) of listening to the public mood. Labour tend to double down, batten down the hatches and insist that everyone who doesn’t agree with them are wrong and just not listening to them properly.

Oh interesting depends on the country then!

It does make me laugh when people insist Tories are extreme right wing when they legalised gay marriage and were prepared to bring in self ID laws until they listened to public mood and found that the vast majority just don’t agree with self ID and scrapped those plans. Scrapping it makes them as right as right wing governments in some Eastern European countries where the above things wouldn’t even be considered, let alone made legal, though apparently!

I don't know much about UK politics to be honest but from what uk youtubers say tories come off as right wing vs labour being left wing. I'm starting to pay attention since people are trying to import this here.

Don’t get me wrong, focusing on this country without comparison, Tories are right wing and Labour left wing, but with hyperbole and the mania of social media, people make comments comparing our politics to those of other countries and in my opinion it just doesn’t stand up to be true. Out of interest what country are you from and what are the politics like there?

Had never heard of this man but now I love him! Excellent response to what's happening in my country, I.e Amnesty trying to ban representation for people wanting to protect sex based rights.

Completely agree with him. There are going to be views we don’t like. Taking away people’s rights to say those views is wrong and totalitarian IMO.
When I see back slapping and smugness over getting ‘problematic’ things banned now, I just think about the next generation coming along and wiping the rug from underneath them. Those that think the movies (for example) that are ‘right’ now may not be so ‘right’ when the next gen holds them up to scrutiny...

And if you sanitize everything, it doesn't give anyone any coping mechanisms and they just become weak cowards who fall apart at the slightest thing or perceived slight. Guess what, the whole world is not always going to love you or pander to you, no matter who you are.

And yeah, the pendulum of woke culture is volatile and can swing against someone without warning. A word that is fine one day can then be seen as 'literal violence' the next.

I read somewhere that woke culture and political correctness is another form of fascism and I completely agree.

I've spent some time in North America so wether it's the US or Canada the politics are very similar, except Canada is USA light/toned down and overly extremely left - trans craze, so pc etc. I'm also from France where the political sphere is divided like this; extreme right/radical right, right, center, left, radical left/extreme left. Marine LePen for exemple is the leader of the extreme right movement called "front national" or it's new name "rassemblement national" - lots of racist rhetoric from that one, a close equivalent would be the Donald. The extreme left i'm less familiar with but they're putting freedom of speech here in danger for example. the other ones are toned down versions of the extreme parties.

I don’t know why but the gender debate doesn’t come up in my real life. In my mid 30s as are most of my friends, but I don’t think anyone I know is on twitter.
Over the last year two teenage girls I know (well know their parents) have announced they are trans. One is about 15/16 and the other 12. The 12 year olds father made a huge speech on fb about six months ago about how she is now he and got loads of support ect. Recently he did another post about how she has decided she is a girl and not trans anymore. I felt so relieved. Weird that the parents are doing these big public announcements.

I work in a hospital and very recently there was a link in an email about trans badges being available, not seen anyone wearing one. I am expecting things to creep into work. Again no one has ever said anything much in my real life. I have been lucky so far
