yup and pretty sure intersex people aren't a "inbetween/3rd gender" pretty sure they are either male/female with mostly one type of characteristics from one of those sexes and they are born with an anamoly like testes in a female for example.
I am intersex, and it is not a gender at all. It is a sex: babies can be born male, female or - rarely - intersex. It varies a lot because intersex is an umbrella term for a wide variety of conditions.

But generally intersex people hate hate hate being used as a debating point by TRAs who think our existence is some kind of perfect gotcha to use in an argument.

Yeah I've been seeing this happen so much lately. A guy I know who I got arguing with said "gender and sex are not the same!!!1!" And then followed the statement with "sex is not binary, there are intersex people with xxx, xxy, xyy, xo" So whyyyyyyy bring up intersex people if sex has nothinng to do with gender 🙄

Yep and you get people born with all sorts of differences/variations but we don't use the fact that some children are, for example, born blind to argue that sighted people wanting to poke their eyes out, walk round with eyes closed, carry a white cane they don't need or "identify as a guide dog owner" is normal or rational.

UK’s only centre for fighting fgm faces closure.

Sorry not related to ‘gender discussions’ as such. But this is an issue that affects women so it ties in with it somewhat I guess. This is why I’m struggling with the idea that tories seem to be the only party asking questions about the gra stuff, yet they clearly hate women in other ways. Plus my local Tory mp is absolutely useless. I’m not sure I can stomach ever voting for them.

sorry, honestly I didn't know much about it but kept seeing it used by TRAs as their "here's your bio proof" that there's more then one gender bs. (Literally see it all the time) As for the non-binary stuff I think it's bollocks especially since there's an infinite number of genders out there according to them.

I don’t understand non binary at all. Generally bald or short pink hair, lip studs and nose ring like a bulls, with big cardigans. I bet in five years 95% will no longer be non binary

, I feel like I have no political home anymore.
I felt like this for a while, then I started looking into the British communist party. My husband has become a member, and their stance is firmly gender critical. Professor Mary Davis has written some good stuff, likewise Laura Briggs in the Morning Star.

Can I ask what the duck is a "minority gender?"

Again, in that fb group I'm in for women in my male-dominated field of work, someone has posted:
"We’re hiring! I want to particularly invite applications from women and minority genders for this role ❤ let me know if you have any questions"

Jesus wept.

But they also can't describe what that "womanly feeling" is like either. Is it just feeling feminine or what?
well since most wear frilly dresses, long hair, makeup and fem ish clothes I'd say so.

You know I always wonder if the most woke people ever notice the logic discrepancies amongst the extremists they're so insistent on supporting.

I’ve never understood this either. I don’t feel like a woman I am one, even if I felt like I felt like a man, it doesn’t make me one! It just doesn’t. I have no idea what it’s like to go through life as a man. It always comes down to stereotypes In the end no matter which word salad explanation they serve up. It’s dresses and make up, sometimes heels, painted nails and fetishistic ideas of womanhood likely stemming from porn.

You don’t ‘feel’ like a man or a woman. It’s just something biology dictates. The only times where I guess I have ‘felt’ like a woman is when I get my period, are pregnant, giving birth or breastfeeding, and these things only happen to me because I have the correct physiology for it. Says it all really.

It's fetishists who are turned on by dressing up as women. That's the long and short of it. (I'm excluding those with genuine gender dysphoria from that)

I got recommended this on youtube and I think it's a great watch. Really relevant to what a lot of us have been feeling regarding disillusionment with the left

Sorry for double post but I just retook the political compass test which I took years ago, expecting a big change towards the right or something.
I was exactly the same as I was then: Libertarian Left.

I think what we're seeing with TRAs vs GCs is Authoritarian Left vs Libertarian Left. Sorry if this is really obvious, I've never gotten too much into political ideologies but this just clicked in my mind.
Would love to hear others' thoughts on this!

I’m still pretty left wing despite this one issue. I refuse to believe that being gender critical suddenly moves me all the way to the (often far) right wing according to the TRA’s. It’s just not as black and white as that.

Same.

I'm basically a bleeding heart tree hugger, lol. Still think men can't magically become women. Will I respect pronouns? Sure, but I draw the distinction at being made to say "transwomen are women." Trans women are trans women.

Trans footballer abused after signing for a professional club.

I don’t for a second condone any abuse but I am extremely disappointed in the FA, who banned women’s football for fifty years in the past, for even allowing someone born male to join a professional women’s team and I hope they don’t allow this person to play in competitive matches because blood test or not you cannot change bone structure or muscle placement, or the fact that you’re Male. Men are on average faster and stronger than women and hormones will never fully negate that. It’s not ‘abuse’ to raise valid concerns on males competing in women’s sports. It shouldn’t be allowed in my opinion and it’s a disgrace that it is happening and hardly anyone seems to be fighting against it. More sports women like Sharron Davies and Martina Navratilova need to speak on this like yesterday.

"bu-u-u-t they're female" ;) it's more important to be woke then fair. Let's also consider the fact that it's a hot trend rn and a lot will prob detransition. Just like so many people were once bi. Only this time it'll be "sorry I stole your a women's spot when I thought I was one ;)"
