Most clinicians 99.9 percent don't care and actually find the gender identity questionnaires time consuming. The gender questionnaires is on ALL patient records does not matter the age. It will come up for a 4 year old and a 99 year old with dementia. But they forgot to turn the comments off...
Apparently this happened after Tavistock collapsed too and they were forced to about turn after members protested. Some accounts claim very few BMA members actually voted on this and it may not represent the membership. I cannot believe they're doctors using the term "intersex". This kind of rit really makes me worry about getting medical care, if doctors en masse really are placing lying ideology above biological reality and patient safety. What will happen to the NHS if it can be proven that it's doing this? What will there then be moves and votes for?
What exactly is causing this? I've never seen so many people so determined to protect such bull.
The option for cannot answer is at the very very bottom I've had ones before where I couldn't select cannot answer. It's infuriating and takes up too much of clinicians time.
It's a political hot potato as is everything within healthcare too easy to be accused of something so most people stay out of it. But hushed tones most people think it takes up way too much time and it isn't reality.
I have a few things I won't do out of principle, I will never put my pronouns on email signature or letters. That's my little protest.
