We discussed how revolting men have been protesting and pissing on monuments. It appears that men will be allowed to run in the women's category in the London Marathon. Pedro Pascal who has a TiM sister has called JK Rowling a 'heinous loser' and called for a Harry Potter boycott.

Should we have a thread 'photo' added, rather than showing the profile photo of whoever makes the thread? If so, what shall we have?

Is it July that the Sandie peggie case reaches its conclusion.
What do we think will happen? I’m baffled that Fife trust haven’t tried to settle 🤔
Surely they’re just throwing tax payers money away by continuing with this farce!

How long do you think it will take for EHRC to issue guidance? I hope it's soon and it's really clear.

Quote from last thread @Bread

It probably is the right place to discuss it because I’d certainly like to hear about trans identified people who support the sex based rights of women over the perceived rights that men should be able to access women’s spaces if they say they are a woman.

Gender identity ideology in itself is deeply misogynistic so it’s rare to come across trans identified people who understand this and stand up for single sex spaces on the basis of biological sex.

The hearing will continue in July as there needs to be more witnesses called. I’m not sure how long it would take the tribunal judges to rule however hopefully they Supreme Court ruling has made it much easier for them!

If NHS Fife don’t settle before the next hearing then I am going to believe this is because Sandie Peggie is refusing to settle and I fully support her with that. I don’t think I would want to settle either.

@Em_gardener I wasn't aware that was a satire X account. 😀

I refuse to use social media nowadays (X, Facebook, Bluesky). I find the whole thing utterly toxic, tribal, full of misinformation, and full of idiots who forcefully think only their opinions matter.

It's a brilliant account! I'm trying to spend less time on social media but I've been living on Twitter (and tattle) since the judgement. It's the terfiest platform out there but I think even Facebook is improving.

I dont think NHS Fife can settle that easily, as this started with them supporting DrUptonogood 100%, and there is also the accusation that SP was transphobic and behaved badly towards a patient. Which was the more serious accusation, but the one that seems to have been cobbled together, months after she had called Dr Beth out in the changing rooms!
If they do try and settle, they also have to sort out the whole mess that caused it in the first place, unqualified or new staff giving the wrong advice, will these staff be disciplined or dismissed or retrained?
I can see why it was so much easier to blame the single woman, rather than the entire system that caused it!

Even if the whole thing was based on a lie and misinterpretation of the law

Actually the idea of someone being transphobic is an interesting one!
I appreciate it would be illegal to name call, or treat someone differently just because they are trans, but where does this leave feelings?

Are you legally allowed to dislike someone just because they are trans? Especially if they behave or still believe that this gives them the same rights as biological women?

Also Surely if it is illegal to name call or treat someone differently because they are transgender, then this also applies to everyone who is a biological woman, so the people on these demonstrations being rude about women, should be prosecuted?

I would imagine that legally you can dislike anyone you want for any reason you want as long as you don't act on it by not allowing a particular group into your shop for example or not hiring someone because they are a member of that group. Your thoughts and feelings are your own but you must act in accordance with the law.
Don't know about the name calling and what the law is around that. I'm starting to wish I'd studied law in college. I'm finding it really interesting but it's probably different if you're studying and doing assignments!
What even counts as transphobia? Not hiring someone because they are trans would be an obvious one although I think lots of employers would do this but find another reason for not hiring that person so they can't be accused of transphobia. I think not allowing a trans person do or access something that everyone else (of the same sex) can is transphobia but not calling someone by their preferred pronouns is not transphobia imo.

Misogyny is not seen as a hate crime. Transphobia is. Nuff said.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING ARE EXAMPLES!

'You are a disgusting Trans freak' - Transphobic.

'I don't care if you are Trans, I don't like you because of your views.' - NOT transphobic.

'I don't think biological men should be in women's private spaces, or participate in women's sports' - NOT transphobic.

'All Trans people should just pee on the street, they are not welcome in any private male, or female spaces.' - Transphobic.

As for 'hurt feelings'. It is also works the other way round too. A Trans person is not immune, or somehow exempt from causing 'hurt feelings', or a sense of feeling 'uncomfortable', or making someone feel they are in a dangerous position.

Just look at the threats being made by many. Those threats are now at a level that make many who believe in biological sex feel uncomfortable, and a sense of danger if they dare to air these views in public.

I just wish the Police and Politicians would start taking a harder line against such individuals. If it was the other way round, they would be quick enough to act.

This needs to be stamped on before something nasty occurs.

Crazy innit, that there has been legally binding clarification (as if it was ever needed...) over what a woman is, and we have never felt more uncomfortable about being on the right side of the law. The placards waved at Saturdays rally were intimidating and inciteful, yet nothing is done about it; makes you wonder how much protection women will actually get.

I feel for people that think they were born in the wrong body I wouldn’t consider myself a transphobe I have empathy and it must be very hard.
That’s said the NHS sending letters for smear tests to a person with no cervix is ridiculous when some women can’t get a test and are fobbed off and some have even died I am a common sense person and this is insane to me. Also the whole you’re not a real woman because you’ve given birth or breastfed is just wow the pain and hardship some women suffer shouldn’t be invalidated that’s plain stupid. I feel that some in the trans community have taken it way too far you can’t gain rights by trampling over the rights of biological women or invalidating their experiences just because you’re unable to experience them.

If you had of walked through those protests on Saturday, you would of been the person who would of felt intimidated, threatened and harassed.

However, those at the protest still believe it is all one way hatred.

I would say there is plenty more hatred stemming from the Trans supporters camp at present.

I don't see many supporters of biological sex walking around issuing threats and violence, towards in the trans community, nor causing criminal damage in an utter paddy.
