I know some women would say I was lucky, but I didn't have one hot flush through my menopause. What I did get was awful eczema on my legs, which is linked to hormones. E45 could have gone that route. (To be fair E45 does not work on the discoid rczema, but does help the dry skin)I know. And frustratingly the idea of the campaign could actually hold some weight if it focused on everyday bodies. Then again I suppose something that included, say, menopausal women, didn't make it off the drawing board.
That sounds like yet another ridiculous attempt to try and find some sort of ‘middle ground’.Just seen, no doubt they'll save the self id bit until they get in and then sneak it through.
Labour 'will make changing gender easier' by simplifying process
Labour is looking at ways to 'simplify' the process of legally changing gender in a bid to 'strip out the dehumanising parts', says shadow women and equalities secretary Anneliese Dodds.www.dailymail.co.uk
I doubt however divorce laws will be become any easier for those unfortunate souls who find themselves in a marriage in which their spouse is no longer the person they agreed to marry. That sounds like yet another ridiculous attempt to try and find some sort of ‘middle ground’.
Professor Kamila Hawthorne, chair of the Royal College of GPs questioned why the medical panel would be removed in favour of a single family doctor, who might lack the capacity or specialism to sign off such a document.
She said: 'For most GPs, detailed management of gender dysphoria is outside of our area of expertise.'
We all know how stretched family doctors are already - why burden them with this as well? How are they going to make such a serious and informed decision?
Also, I see Labour’s proposals remove a spouse’s ability to object, which, given that in terms of those who are married, it’s mainly middle agedAGPsmen who suddenly come to realise they’re ‘trans’, it will be women who are most impacted by this.
mif you want to live as a laydeeee fine but you cannot expect/coerce your wife to be ok with it. Make filing for divorce easier and allow citing “gender transition “ as the reasonThat sounds like yet another ridiculous attempt to try and find some sort of ‘middle ground’.

I bet she wishes she’d never said “dress however you want” because at the time, I don’t think she was thinking about AGPs and perverts. Also, y’know, opinions change. I don’t think she stands by “dress however you want” now.Possibly making myself unpopular, but I have free thought and opinion!
I think JKR went a bit far/below the belt insulting the trans football manager and feel as though she’s detracting from her original “dress however you want etc” HOWEVER I understand she’s pissed and I don’t think she’d have reacted this way if it wasn’t a women’s football team.
Plus, she is a normal person as well as a mega celeb. I think sometimes people expect those in the public eye to take the moral high ground or keep a dignified silence about contentious issues, but she has been expected to take bucketloads of vile abuse. I don’t blame her for making that comment about ‘Lucy’ Clark, particularly as Clark has form for sending JKR bullying tweets way before JKR made her recent comment.I bet she wishes she’d never said “dress however you want” because at the time, I don’t think she was thinking about AGPs and perverts. I do think maybe she allows herself to get drawn into unnecessary snarkiness sometimes, whereas in the past she would have kept silent, but on the other hand nobody is perfect, she’s allowed to have a laugh on Twitter, and I don’t think her comment was particularly below the belt. She could have said “look at the state of this ridiculous bloke in a wig” but she didn’t.
That’s just the warm-up. I raise you “Browsing for hate crimes”.
Right, so the Greens’ association with the Challenors was perhaps not the unwitting accident they’d like to pretend it was, eh?The Greens are certainly attracting a whole different clientele these days aren't they? I don't think it's going to workout too well for them.
Sorry, just got back to this, yes they did but we had a spare.I was reading about that - didn’t a TRA nick the microphone?
The people who appointed him need scrutinising too. What the hell were they thinking! That is truly terrible. That man should not be in charge of any Rape Crisis services at all.
They certainly weren't thinking of all of the many female victims of rape and sexual assault that's for sure. It boggles the mind as to why they thought he was a suitable appointment. The people who appointed him need scrutinising too. What the hell were they thinking!
