Has anybody else been on Reddit?
It is one of the most overly woke websites I have ever seen.
I created an account on there about six months ago and I have been since reading through different threads and comments on there. If you say anything remotely not nice or even just indifferent about trans people, you get down voted into oblivion and you comment will disappear.

Not just about trans people either. Anything that doesn't fit into the now popular narratives.
Somebody will posts a news story about a celebrity doing drugs and somebody in court for something. And they will literally just have the shits up over the wrong pronouns being used or a someone they like being found to be an arsehole. Then whinge about it.

Most of the over the top woke propaganda seems to be pushed by thin skinned trans people and woke 14 year olds.

If you stick just following a few threads and topics you like on Reddit, it's okay and easy to ignore. Even though woke stuff seem to find its way everywhere.

But their intolerance of different opinion is simply insufferable. A website I feel I may have to leave soon for the sake of keeping my sanity.
I am wondering if anybody else feels the same about the site.

I'm on a few groups, but it was when I was on the 'hysterectomy support' groups I became a TERF. The group's users fell into two distinct camps: 30s and up adult human females whose lives had been horrendously disrupted by serious menstrual issues and were at last being offered a solution, and young women (teens/ twenties) who thought having an unnecessary hysterectomy would make them more of a man. There were also a sprinkling of adult human males who had weird wishful thinking that they would like to be able to have a hysterectomy, yada yada

The second group referred to their 'front hole', policed the older women's expression (how dare anyone use proper medical terminology like 'vagina' or 'cervix'), and seemed to believe that being horrible to women (unsympathetic, shouting them down) also made them more like men. The men on the board forever sprang to the 'defence' of the transmen. It was vile, and I left pretty quickly.

I used to be on a site where Kathryn Matthis used to post a lot about her son, Coy, who - and I shit you not - indicated his desire to be a girl at 4 months old by "preferring" a pink blanket, and that had to be back in the noughties I think. The trend has deep roots.

These parents all have a screw loose. I do understand how hard it is to be a normal parent and have a teenager or 20-something who says "support me transing myself or you'll be killing me" but the nutters who insist children too young to have any concept of gender or gender stereotypes are actually transbabies should be hospitalised and have their kids put in care.

I definitely think there's a line not to cross with clothes. A think a man wearing a pink hoodie, or tshirt and maybe a floor length ball gown on a red carpet for couture reasons, fine. But wearing school girl pleated skirts, pigtails, etc is definitely no-no, as is stretching lingerie on over a body the clothes have not been designed for anatomically. Like when an AGP wears a bikini and it's a flat pair of triangle fabric pieces far apart with no cleavage, just sort of tied of to their chest, clinging for dear life and ladies knickers stretched over their man hips with a bulge at the front. Or those 60s males wearing 1940s housewife polkadot dresses and lipstick Barely any woman I know dresses like that these days. But you don't see the AGPs dressing in Tudor time kirtles and cloth caps being sentenced to death for witchcraft... No... It's like they have this pornified image of a sexy woman and she's from the 1940s. Or, they try to be the protagonist from 1990s Baywatch in a leotard.

Just going back to the previous thread, that Nadia Whittome irritates me. Her tweet saying that trans face "years long waiting lists" for treatment.. well so does just about anyone waiting for treatment on the NHS. They aren't a priority.

Also that India Willoughby begging fund...what a cheek! That FFS was a waste of money because he looks no different, also I don't think I've ever heard of a trans ban on working in the media. I'll bet he's just made that up because if anything the BBC would surely have employed him, maybe he's just crap at his job but it looks better to blame someone else.

I used to gallop round the playground giving my friend a piggyback. It was play, I didn’t really think I was going to grow up to be a horse. I knew a girl who gave herself an androgynous nickname and always took the male role in games, but she didn’t really think she was a man. It’s just children using their imagination, making their world a bit different from reality and having fun. They grow out of it.
What these parents of supposed “trans kids” ( no, I don’t believe there is such a thing either) do is take a phase of a child’s life, take it as if it were a rational adult declaration, and then commit themselves and the poor child, that this is to be their life, there is no turning back, it wasn’t just a phase. I think it’s extreme child abuse.

Yes. There are all different types of bad parenting. One of them in the modern era is taking your child to the doctor because they’re “gender non-conforming”, and to allow or even to encourage or facilitate an under-18 taking puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones or having surgery (all have happened in the UK) because of feelings a child is having, which of course may very well pass.

I distrust anyone immediately who genuinely thinks they have a “trans kid.”

This is shocking. BBC Scotland platforms a father who transed his daughter because she showed him “before she could talk” that she was visibly upset at being referred to as a girl. He’s happy he can afford private ‘healthcare’.

When you dig into these stories, there is always an issue with one, or both of the parents. The dad is homophobic, homosexual or both, and can't bear the thought of raising a girl. Or it's a CSA issue, the perpetrator preferring boys (or girls), or thinking that giving the kid hormones and surgery will hide evidence of abuse. Mothers falling down SM rabbit holes and seeing evidence of transgenderism if their son dares to pick up a doll or watches an episode of Dora the Explorer. It's always, always an issue with the parents.

Agree with all this. Ireland, like Scotland, has a coalition government and the minority party is the Green Party - the tail seems to be wagging the dog. Well, as of today the Greens have dropped from the coalition in Scotland, and Humza is very close to a vote of no confidence, hahah. The cult has also been challenged perfectly by JK Rowling on the insane hate speech law and hilariously had to back down because they KNOW if they take JK and her endless financial resources and level ten chutzpah to court they will not only be unable to wear her down financially and she WILL rubbish them in court, and peak a fair few more people doing so.

One of the goals seems to be uterus transplants, which boggles me given how you need a whole female body, brain included, not just a random uterus, to successfuly grow a baby to term. But they see it as simple mechanics, chop and lop. Of coruse who would donate a uterus? A dead woman, obviously. And at that point, I can tell you they know exactly who the women are and aren't. Same way as Owen Jones knows what a woman is when he wants one to make a baby for him and his boyfriend.

on another vein I was thinking about watching baby reindeer but don’t think I’ll bother given it apparently has a trans character. For a small marginalised group they ain’t half taking over.

The trans character in Baby Reinder is because the writer/main character joined a trans dating site as he was conflicted about his sexuality (due to various issues I won’t mention as they’re potential spoilers). There’s a clear dissonance between him wanting to see Terri as a woman but also being very uncomfortable being ‘public’ with the relationship, which elucidates part of his backstory.

I’m as GC as they come, but that aspect didn’t feel agenda-driven or bandwagon-y. It was a well-written plot line.

I'd not be surprised if the figures for teen suicides were higher from 2020, because those were incredibly stressful years. I've commented before about how disgusting I find it that all the rules about responsible and compassionate reporting are thrown aside by trans campaigners looking for martyrs who could not care less about actually supporting children and young people.

They also seem terrified of the idea of therapy to work through any other mental health issues they might have. It seems at odds with a community who is so afraid of suicide.
