With regards to slavery women are still suffering the most regardless of race.
I do wish that people would stop going on about the past in some attempt at making others feel guilty. I'm sick of it. We should all be concerned about modern slavery going on in all countries around the world.

*People can be trafficked for various forms of exploitation such as prostitution, forced labour, begging, criminality, domestic servitude, forced marriage and organ removal.
*The face of human trafficking is changing, with more children and men falling prey, and more victims trapped in forced labour than a decade ago, the United Nations says.
*At least 40 million people are victims of modern slavery worldwide - with nearly 25 million trapped in forced labour and about 15 million in forced marriages.
*Almost three-quarters are female - and one in four a child - with modern-day slavery most prevalent in Africa followed by Asia and Pacific.
*North Korea has the world's highest rate of slavery, with about one in 10 people enslaved, followed by Eritrea (9.3%) Burundi (4%), Central African Republic (2.2%), Afghanistan (2.2%), Mauritania (2.1%), South Sudan (2%), Pakistan (1.7%), Cambodia (1.7%) and Iran (1.6%).
*India is home to the largest number of slaves globally, with 8 million, followed by China (3.86 million), Pakistan (3.19 million), North Korea (2.64 million), Nigeria (1.39 million), Iran (1.29 million), Indonesia (1.22 million), Democratic Republic of the Congo (1 million), Russia (794,000) and the Philippines (784,000).

Agree with all of this. A lot of people are unwittingly participating in modern slavery on a daily basis - car washes are a typical example of this - there is an app (UK based) called 'Safe Car Wash' which helps identify the signs of slavery. Nail bars are another example - the ones with lots of Vietnamese nail techs who don't have a word of English.
There's no reparation money cash involved in modern day slavery, or apologies and donations involved so the ones banging on about past slavery couldn't give a toss.
Out of interest I watched the clip of Friday Night Live… whaaaaaat the duck was that? I hope he went back and cleaned the keyboard before someone had it take it off stage 
Seeing everyone laugh was frustrating, this is the kind of person that I’m being vilified for not being attracted to, the kind of person who’s telling me that their ‘girl fool’ is just the same as a real tina.
It could have been a stupid song and left at that, but noooooo he had to get his pen out and swing it around. If someone is that dysphoric to want to change their gender then surely they aren’t going to want to flash their pen about and would want to quietly settle into a normal life? I watch a few trans people on YouTube who are under no illusion that they’ve actually changed sex and call out TRAs, and they talk about feeling uncomfortable with intimate parts of their body and wanting to pass normally and actually go to the effort to do so. This just screams classic AGP, he’s far too comfortable with hisgirl fool

I understand the premise of the show and that it’s all about taking risks on live tv, but when confronted with something that you’ve been told over the years that you ‘have to get used to’ it’s hard not to have a visceral reaction to it. I know others will scream in hilarity but I felt uneasy with it. And yes, I’m aware that watching a program claiming to push the envelope will have moments like that.
Jerry Sadowitz has apparently done that gag for decades and it is something the audience is prepared for - explicit content warnings when booking. Any Google search will tell you what to expect. This is in public, and on unsuspecting audiences and it is the same as the flasher in the park, done for their own excitement and usually they would be called a p.
I’m not a Sadowitz fan, I wouldn’t go to a gig of his, but he’s never pretended to be what he isn’t or flashed at kids and pretended it’s inclusive.

I was a huge "Friday Night Live" fan back in the day. It started life as "Saturday Live" and was really popular, we used to come home early from the pub to watch it! The show launched the careers of Ben Elton, Harry Enfield, Jo Brand, and loads of others. It's hard to remember a time when cuddly Jo Brand from the "Bake Off" show, was regarded as a real subversive, we hadn't seen women on stage in dungarees, Dr Martens, with short hair and minimal make-up, talking about how the way to a man's heart is "Through his hanky pocket with a breadknife".
It was genuinely original, sometimes shocking, always entertaining and an absolute fit for Channel 4.
I just KNEW that we would be seeing Jordan's baps at the very least. The jacket was very low cut, with nothing underneath, and the screechy manic energy of the performance was a huge clue. It was a bit wearying to see the enthusiastic handmaidens, whooping and cheering whilst being insulted by a performer right in front of them.
It's a shame as the rest of the show wasn't too bad, a bit hit and miss in parts, but it did make me laugh at times and that's never a bad thing right now.
To be honest, I wouldn't bother to complain. That is exactly the reaction that both Jordan and C4 want. I tend to think that we should treat this kind of performance with the disdain that it deserves.
The absolute worst nightmare for an AGP like Jordan, is to be ignored.

The word woman is still there and there is the added "people with a cervix" to cover trans men.
If it solely said people with a cervix I would be annoyed.
It is however ridiculous that trans women can register with a GP as female and would potentially get invites when they are neither women or people with a cervix.
I totally understand that people who have had all the surgeries and a GRC etc truly believe they are the opposite gender, but they cannot change sex and the fact that GRCs mean that medical records are basically falsified is ridiculous.
Have just discovered this woman on YouTube who has some great videos up. She's worth checking out.
Presumably it also covers women who say they're non-binary.
While I think the concept of being NB is silly, I'd feel uncomfortable with the NHS telling anyone who says they're NB that they're wrong and that the NHS would continually refer to them with the pronouns that align to the sex they were born with.
It just feels unnecessarily combative and it's inappropriate to have such arguments with patients, especially when they're ill. In my eyes it wouldn't be any different to ignoring a request from a patient for NHS staff to use an abbreviated name for them.
