It's like when I was applying for jobs, they wanted my pronouns, gender identity, and my sexuality. 😭
Do you think they discriminate based on those things? I always put les to give myself some diversity haha even though I’m not. I never know whether to admit I’m neurodiverse :)

I really recommend you read Barracoon by Zora Neale Hurston. She interviews one of the last people to be trafficked to America from Africa. His village was attacked by the agojie. Dahomey was a country where slavery was pretty much the state religion and the king of Dahomey was mad when the westerners no longer wanted to buy. We do share a role in the creation of such a culture (we created the demand that then instigated an economy purely focused on the procurement of people) but it doesn't mean we should hide or re-write what happened in Africa.

To me celebrating the Agojie for 'gender non comformity' would be like celebrating the female concentration camp guards of the Third Reich. An interesting film could be made but it can't be a simple good Vs evil tale.
We did not create the demand as that was started by the trans-saharan slave trade which saw as many slaves exported as the later Atlantic slave trade. Slavery was already prevalent in Africa as it was in most of the world pre BC and simply continued through the centuries.

I think the person who entered the room was wearing a lot of makeup (called “evening makeup” in the letter), not wearing evening attire.

Also why would some of the staff take legal action?
Yes, exactly. Hospitals are there to provide care for patients, not for patients to validate hospital staffs identities. If a trans staff member wants to throw a tantrum and take legal action because a patient wants aftercare from someone of the same sex then I’d say that staff member is in completely the wrong profession.

“Positive discrimination” I think it’s called.

What seems to have happened regarding African slave trade (both east and west) is that Christianity and Islam ultimately forbade or made enslavement within their religions beyond the pale. But both societies still wanted to use slaves and so bought from the only place still selling. On the western side, the new world economy of big plantations drove demand for numbers that during that period basically supercharged the whole thing.

There are moral problems on both sides, Africa for
selling and the east and west for buying.

Hmmm. Must be tricky for the parents but stop encouraging it- sounds like she gets a lot of it from social media… https://lifeandstyle.alexandalexa.com/lets-talk-new-age/
So this girl has been "auditioning for Hollywood directors" and is a sucessful actress and model. She's a young child! You can't help but wonder if there is any correlation between her being paraded in front of rich and powerful men, and wanting to deny her birth sex? 🤔
And yes, any decent parent will limit their child's screen time. Finding "groups" on Youtube may not be quite the victory that this woman seems to think that it is, does she monitor her daughter's online interactions closely? It's only a matter of time before this girl falls right into the trans cult, she's just a few years away from double masectomy and testosterone injections ☹

I always tick "Prefer not to say". It's no-one's business, but they probably think that I'm trans but not ready to admit it yet 😬😂

Because she said in one of her letters that she "would not agree to use pronouns or otherwise engage with such manifestations of gender ideology".

Which leads me to believe she knows there's at least one male who identifies as female on the staff, so she's technically warning them that she won't refer to that person as anything other than he/him, and won't accept them as anything other than male. (Indeed she also says: "Please note that trans-identifying males are NOT females" in her letter to the hospital.)

While that's fine in most people's eyes, if the hospital orders any trans member of staff to work with that patient (while knowing her stance) there could be grounds for that staff member to take action against the hospital. She seems to be suggesting that if a male member of staff knocked at the door and was given permission to enter, she would be OK with them entering.

It's hard to comment fully, as we've only got her part of the story, but I find it hard to believe the author of the letters and emails would make more than one reference to trans women in her correspondence if she didn't know there was at least one working on the team that she's likely to come into contact with. I suspect that's why the hospital made the comment about not sharing her "values".

Yeah that’s what I mean, she seems very… young to be involved in all that stuff online and you can’t deny it’s not an influence? You don’t even understand about girls and boys properly until you reach puberty 🤷🏻‍♀️

There's an article in Slate (which is completely on board with this stuff) about a poll about Independent women (i.e women in the US registered as "independent" voters so not tied to either party) planning on voting Republican this election. And this tit right here, I bet, is a big reason why and no-one on the left will talk about it!

Like, the election in Virginia last year or earlier this year which Democrats lost - women voted for Republicans because a girl was grape at school by a boy who was then claimed as trans, and Democrats (including OBAMA) said it was culture war bull and not a real issue.

I think you are confused with the timings. She opted for this private hospital to avoid any mixed sex wards and made it clear that that was why she was choosing the hospital as, due to sexual assault, it was important to her. She would only answer questions on any form based on her sex, not gender identity (safe to assume that she had already filled out some forms with gender identity questions on them hence why she raised it) she then had a pre-op intimate procedure and it was then that the TiM opened the door to the room. It was that incident that then triggered the further letters outlining her insistence that she only have female staff, not staff that identify as female and that is when the hospital cancelled the op

Heterosexual man, LARPing as a les, manages to degrade women and gay men in one picture:

Shouldn’t be that surprising as this is the same person who wore a T-shirt with the slogan “a woman without a fool is like an Angel without wings”.
Those eyebrows....

Yeah I know the sequence. She said she "would not agree to use pronouns or otherwise engage with such manifestations of gender ideology" in the questionnaire that completed before she had the procedure you refer to.

I think it's an odd thing to say in a questionnaire if you didn't know there were even any TiM staff. So, like I say, I think she had prior knowledge of the staff she was likely to come into contact with and was setting out her stall in advance, so to speak.

It did not supercharge it as the amount of slaves involved in the sub saharan where equal to the Atlantic slave trade.......the main difference is that the middle east does not have to assume the mantle of guilt which many UK and USA people have taken without even doing basic research

I've been waiting and waiting for Dylan to say it's all been a joke but I think he's gone so far down the front hole rabbit hole it's consumed him now.

I don't see that as odd. More than 1 person on this thread has said they won't answer questions on gender or will put a line through and replace with the word sex but as she was having a major operation, she made it clear why she hadn't answered those questions.
