It's weird that'd be considered controversial! I'd rather that kind of stuff be put somewhere that I can easily identify it as irrelevant to me.
In fact, if the app asked me for my sex and then auto-hid things that don't correspond to my sex I'd appreciate that even more. But I can see some people getting very annoyed by that.

Going back to the point about encouraging south Asian women to go for their smear test. I’m not suggesting that all South Asian women don’t speak English, or have only a limited knowledge of it, but there is surely a percentage who don’t, and nonsense language like “anyone with a cervix” is not helpful.
I've been using a Mooncup for about 25 years, single purchase so really cheap per use, no monthly waste and no worries about the ethics of who I'm buying off every month. Won't need it much longer thankfully due to my age but it's been a total game changer.

Spot on! Telling everyone they need to be fabulous just leads them into a never ending quest to be nOT lIKe oTHer pEOple and to be dissatisfied with being mundane. Most teens transing themselves are those brought up to be told that being average and boring is a crime.
The volunteer interviewed mentioned that they had interpreters available so it did seem that they were trying to get their message over to those with limited knowledge of English. She also said that a lot of the women who came to the information sessions weren't used to being listened to in their communities which I thought was very sad. I saw another interview a while back where a GP said that there isn't even a word for menopause in some S. Asian languages. It seems like women's health issues are just something that these women don't speak about and are expected to put up with.
Clear and easy to understand language is very important, which is why I don't like how 'inclusive' language becomes anything but sometimes. I've had to write patient information sheets for work and I was told that you have to aim them at someone who has a reading age of 14 so if you can't avoid using medical terms, you need to define them. You don't use ambiguous language that can be misunderstood by the patient. If you aren't familiar with your anatomy, you could be forgiven for thinking "cervix-haver' doesn't refer to you.

Size of tampon is related to menstrual flow, it is dangerous to use a more absorbent tampon than you need as it can lead to Toxic Shock Syndrome. TSS can kill - it is important to use the minimum absorbancy required to manage your period.
