How can someone that purports to be a "woman" be so ignorant of female anatomy?
Or maybe thats the point, if he did have any comprehension of the female body it would become immediately obvious that he doesn't apply and never will.
Men do not need tampons and its offensive to have them think that they do.
It would fit Tampax better to concentrate on the people that actually need their products, maybe do more to educate girls about periods and how they are nothing to be ashamed of and help alleviate period poverty, but no, let's get a creepy weirdo to fetishise sanitary products. Sick.

Does this say something about who is responsible for advertising Tampax?
Thinking of ''Mad Men'' I wonder if it is an all male, or male dominated or all female team of advertisers doing this? My guess would be a mainly male team of advertisers, liking the idea of inclusion, without actually thinking it through properly?

It is an odd idea isnt it. I suppose its similar to the idea of making jobs accessible for all, thinking of people with disabilities etc ie its a great idea in theory, but.... how do you put it into practise?

Do trans people really have that many issues getting jobs?

Will there be a special dress code to abide by? There are a lot of unofficial dress codes that women do tend to follow at work , ie knee length skirts or trousers, and high necked blouses etc, definitely no short skirts or low cut tops!!! As it just wouldnt be appropriate!!!

I think there is also an unofficial dress code whilst travelling on the tube or buses! When Ive travelled recently, the large majority of women are covered from wrists to their necks and down to their ankles, (asian style) you dont notice many women in gym style shorts or revealing tops. So Im a bit wary about wearing anything too revealing either!! In my head its about being respectful to the women around me- but it could just be me being oversensitve!!

Receptionists are nearly always female because it's not a high paying job. Making the advert sound like they want a trans person will put off some (well qualified) women from applying.

Sometimes when I'm reading this thread I think I must be hallucinating. Tampax have a MAN advertising their product. A man with a pen who does not have a tina and who has never suffered the pain, inconvenience and debilitation of having a period. A man who fetishes about vaginas and who thinks that absorbency is connected to the size of your bleep and how much it has stretched. Which ever FUCKWIT decided that was appropriate should be sacked with immediate effect. This utter lunacy has gone on long enough. Just duck OFF, seriously. 'Stunning and brave'. It's like the Emperors New Clothes. The more people speak out, the more people are likely to join them and say "actually, I agree, this isn't right". People are keeping quiet out of fear.

The volunteer interviewed mentioned that they had interpreters available so it did seem that they were trying to get their message over to those with limited knowledge of English. She also said that a lot of the women who came to the information sessions weren't used to being listened to in their communities which I thought was very sad. I saw another interview a while back where a GP said that there isn't even a word for menopause in some S. Asian languages. It seems like women's health issues are just something that these women don't speak about and are expected to put up with.

Clear and easy to understand language is very important, which is why I don't like how 'inclusive' language becomes anything but sometimes. I've had to write patient information sheets for work and I was told that you have to aim them at someone who has a reading age of 14 so if you can't avoid using medical terms, you need to define them. You don't use ambiguous language that can be misunderstood by the patient. If you aren't familiar with your anatomy, you could be forgiven for thinking "cervix-haver' doesn't refer to you.

Not to be flippant but 'chest-feeding' just makes me think of that scene with John Hurt in Alien!

I'm a civil servant and write lengthy reports. Part of our "house style" (which our work is scored on) is to write in plain English for the reasons you mention. The fact that men's feelings trumps writing clearly so people can understand tells you all you need to know about this movement.

Size of tampon is related to menstrual flow, it is dangerous to use a more absorbent tampon than you need as it can lead to Toxic Shock Syndrome. TSS can kill - it is important to use the minimum absorbancy required to manage your period.

Dylan Mulvaney is a dangerous idiot, and what are Tampax doing having any connection with him?
He knows nothing about menstruation because he is a man, why not use a woman to promote a product that is soley for women and girls, absolutely disgraceful

I've looked online, and apart from Dylan Mulveny's comment, there is nothing about Tampax collaborating/sponsoring him. Nothing on Tampax website or Youtube.

So I have emailed Tampax/Proctor & Gamble to ask if they have any affiliation with Dylan Mulveney. I'll post when I get a reply.
I suspect he is lying, and he is just an attention-seeking TIM drama queen . Quelle suprise!!
