Yeah, I don't believe he is dysphoric either. I think he's an opportunistic male who most likely gets off on making women feel uncomfortable and is taking advantage of the path TRAs have created for him and other males.

Saw something yesterday saying that "Lia" is "damned if she wins, damned if she doesn't" because us terfs use him winning as proof he has advantages, then it he doesn't win we say he threw it. What I would like to know is who tf honestly believes, having watched that video of him coasting to victory and barely kicking, that he was trying to do more than come fifth? It's a ploy for sympathy and I'm not having it.

Yup I agree that wil LIA m just wants to win an Olympic medal! But it is incredibly unfair. Those poor girls he was competing against!

It will be interesting to see how it falls if someone with obvious cis male benefits, of extra height, feet, legs and shoulders .. compared to all the other cis women swimmers they compete against, is able to get away with it?
( I absolutely detest the word cis ....but......I cant think of how else to describe the cis male benefits Wil LIA m has from being born male! and how these apply to cis womens sporting events!)

Or if there will be so many complaints against the entire USA swimming team that the Olympic committee have to think again, and sort this out with a bit more fairness!

I’m done with being kind. There’s no “ poor Lia” he’s just a big entitled, smirking, cheating male unit who has no sense of fair play. I think you have some sympathy for him, carefully using the feminine pronouns and worrying about his well being, even to suggesting that women’s sport is changed to accommodate trans advantages.

I used to think a third option, gender neutral toilets would work. But it wouldn’t. TiM would mostly always want the women’s spaces for validation, for sexual arousal, for sexual assault.

There is an outside chance that Wil LIA m, does have some kind of gender dysphoria. it might potentially be true??? Maybe doubtful...but.....if I am being kind maybe I should consider it....
But if they do have any kind of dysphoria, ....then who on earth is advising them? Because to me.....their dysphoria must be being made so much worse, by all this attention, and media pointing out that Lia still has a pen, and that Lia has advantages in the swimming races because they were born male.
These kinds of things must make most people paranoid...let alone those with a recently diagnosed gender dysphoria!
So who is advising them/suggesting they put themselves through all this negativity? This sounds like dreadful mental health advice, to put them into a place that deliberately highlights the differences, when someone is trying to pass as female!

And i cant use, words like cis, or trans or pronouns correctly, cos they make no sense to my sense of grammar...so Im not even trying to use them correctly....I just put a selection of words together, to try to explain what im trying to say!!

And as for suggesting a handicap for any races Lia is in......it makes as much sense as Martina Navratilova suggesting they put an asterix against any transgender athletes....whats th point of that? The paralympics, do run races with time handicaps .......

I think it sounds stupid and unrealistic....but .......where do we go from here?.....

I would have thought it would make sense to not let anyone with a pen swim in a womens event? But .....this definition doesnt seem to work any more.....!!

He's a cult member - he just needs more love bombing; the incessant a kissing and ego massaging when you come out as trans is addictive. Plus he's male, so he'd have loved it even more.

He was barely clapped when he was announced for the 200 unlike the other swimmers who were loudly cheered.

Why does no one ever seem to address the fact that it’s not so much everyone thinks trans women are dangerous predatory monsters, but the fact that men can say “I’m a woman” and get into our spaces and somehow that’s not a reason to worry?!?! I really don’t understand it.

if I am being kind......part of me feels sad that poor Lia Thomas felt such awful gender dysphoria..that they had no choice but to start their transition. And if their choice to live as a different gender, didnt affect anyone else, I wouldnt really care at all.

But I am not sure how or why the mental health professionals advising Lia, suggested that she should still continue to swim competitively. Especially when swimming, her previous cis born natal male characteristics , of height, shoulders etc are so obvious. It cant be good for her mental health for this to be constantly commented on. Nor is it likely to be positive for the press to be talking about her still having her male pen whilst changing in the female changing rooms

But maybe this needs to be commented on....to allow for a proper handicap, similar to those used in horse racing , to alleviate the benefit of height shoulder size etc. Maybe lia should be competing with a time penalty or something like extra weights on a belt around her waist, to eliminate her natal birth advantages?

And as for toilets, whats the issue with continuing to have seperate male and female toilets, but just increase the number of disabled toilets, or family toilets, that can also be gender neutral?
My issue with same sex toilets, is that of cleanliness........if you ever work with small boys, they seem to delight in spraying urine everywhere, so single same sex toilets can be a real pain for getting a class of young children ready before lunch, ie whole class, does wash hands and go to the toilet........you have to check and clean up between each child. I would have thought adult men would have learnt better aim, but the smell in male toilets....would suggest not.

I don't feel sorry for him at all. He is a man in a women's race. Your suggestions would mean women continuing to make allowances for men in our spaces. We wasn't given them for no reason. Men grape and kill us, it's a real problem. 99% of ALL sex offences are committed by men. Wake up.

No one's identity should be acknowledged legally or taken to mean they have changed sex. Because we all know you can't do any such thing.

This is not gender dysphoria - if that was the case. he would have changed colleges and transitioned quietly to his new life. This is an aggressive, mediocre, AGP male who enjoys the current situation - he is 'passing' in all the woke circles and is causing great distress to the women on the team - misogyny at its best.

Their answer is that it’s fine for women to be used as collateral so long as TIMs can feel safe by using the women’s toilet because that’s all ‘genuine’ trans women want. So how do we tell the difference between ‘genuine’ TW and one’s who are putting a wig on or just calling themselves women to access women’s spaces? You can’t and so the argument just goes round and round in circles.

My thing with the safe-spaces for TW is that gay men are essentially at similar risk but we don't talk about them.

Theres a sound on tiktok with a song apparently exclusively for the trans commubity according to them and they are going through videos that are heavily about mental health/trauma and berating people for using the sound . Surely there are better ways to use their time but then there are those that enjoy perpetuating the myth they are the most oppressed group ever.
