I'm pleased I don't live in America

With the attack on David Amess it does make me worry about MPs speaking up in general. You get Labour politicians hanging Rosie Duffield out to dry and it could realistically lead to someone attacking her.

But wait, they're just going about their business and wanting to use the women's bathroom in peace, aren't they?

This is sickening. Putting little girls at risk in their own school. Because it's not just about boys being able to go in the toilet and assault them. There are more nuances.
Parents need to stop this madness.

how many times does this have to happen before they cannot argue that this is not what will happen?! I would be horrified if I was her family and that poor, poor girl. A life ruining incident just so some people don't feel "offended"

I am 20% into Irreversible Damage and am horrified. I feel sick reading a lot of it. Trans influencers and social media have a lot to answer for. Some trans influencers say that if you wonder if you're trans then you probably are and there's nothing wrong with just trying the hormones. In California, kids 12+ are allowed to leave school to go and get hormone treatments without their parents being informed. Teachers will also call them by whatever name/pronouns they want without asking parents. Studies are showing that young females are less likely to come out as gay and instead trans "cause if you like the same sex then you're a boy." it also talks about how often anyone who is now a tomboy or a feminine boy is labeled "non binary" by peers or teachers.

Kids in California are taught about gender/trans/pronouns from kindergarten. They have people come in and do talks about it. Kids brains and sponges and they are literally being indoctrinated to this

Abigail Shrier says most people who really have gender dysphoria present signs from a young child. What they are seeing now is teens saying they are trans that have never shown any signs as a child.

I read this earlier about the attack - they're going the same way they did with the WiSpa incident

a) it didn't happen
b) if they prove it happened then the person was pretending to be trans
c) if the person was trans then we don't discriminate against marginalised groups because one person did something bad.

Don't worry about it - it was 'only' a sexual assault against a child and 'only' in a classroom, not a bathroom

There are definitely nuances to self ID that aren’t discussed enough. I was thinking about being a teen girl getting changed for PE. What if a boy says he’s a girl (and that’s all he would have to say), would they put him in the girls changing room?? Can you imagine how mortifying that would be for the girls?? And let’s not pretend that teen boys wouldn’t try this for a laugh. I’m so glad I don’t have a girl, I’d be worried sick.

we are really regressing as a society in this regard, I remember when I was younger and it was a big taboo to come out as gay/lesbian (I remmeber when Stephen Gately came out and it was insane), thankfully that changed, but now we are going back to that basically?! I hadn't heard of that book so googled it, the related search things that came up were 2 pro trans books

oh thank god she was "only" assaulted, not raped, must be very comforting for her to know that

The student union rep added there was 'strong feeling within the community' that transgender students at the University were 'unsafe' and felt 'intellectually threatened' by Professor Stock.
Feeling intellectually threatened!? At a University!? Whatever next?

This for me comes back to something someone was saying the other day about how horrible stuff like 'Tory scum' is. I'm seeing a lot of criticism of Angela Rayner over this incident. And I'm torn because on the one hand, I think the only person to blame for Amess' death is the murderer. But I do think there is an important conversation to be had at the moment around the bullying and nasty language that is starting to become routine with the hard left. Being left wing is often considered to be the 'good side' and I do think this is why stuff like what Rayner was saying a few weeks ago largely is let go, because it's seen as the 'popular' and 'good' view. I've seen some people saying how they don't care that another Tory 'bites the dust' and things like that on Twitter, which even as a lefty horrifies me. I think this feeds into why TRAs get away with so much violent language, death and rape threats etc, because if they've got socialist or communist or something in their bio they're perceived as being on the 'right side of history'. It needs to stop.

It is irreversible damage by Abigail shrier. She said that when her book was first sold on Amazon, they would push pro teen trans books underneath it as recommendations. I'm not sure if they are still doing that.

Still wondering why, with the exception of bearing children perhaps, anyone would WANT to be a woman.

Someone with a large twitter following who made a huge song and dance about how they’re non binary and should only be referred to as they/them and not as a girl or a woman forgets they’re non binary for a tweet and then adds it as an afterthought

to be able to claim to be victimised in 2 ways, first as the "woman" they have chosen to be, and then as trans. None of us chose to be women but lets make trans women the priority over us

yeah it still comes up like this, not just on amazon on various websites, all the "related" things pro trans

and you know if you made the mistake of misgendering them you would be crucified

Well, there’s child bearing, the empathy and care we exhibit, emotional intelligence plus- as Germaine Greer has said- women aren’t war mongers.
