I don't know if people have seen this story and it is off topic but it really reminded me of people's discomfort with that weirdo who was posting about porn and kink. This story is a reminder to trust your instinct and gut reaction. Its also striking how this woman was initially dismissed because of her pregnancy hormones and the onus was imposed on her to prove something wasn't right. It was another woman who believed her. She was extremely brave and stood her ground.

BBC News - The pregnant woman who caught a serial voyeur masseur
My mantra these days, thanks to Crime Junkies is "be weird be rude stay alive" . Women always tolerate unwelcome conduct cos we are conditioned to be kind. The amount of true horror stories were women say things like " I didn't want to be rude in case he didn't mean it" .
When I was 12 i was on a bus and a man sat next to me and pushed himself so I was crushed and I just tolerated it. I hate that such men use our very vulnerability against us.

Did you read the snp are going to allow children as young as 4 to decide and won’t have to tell their parents the new pronouns etc. Why confuse kids with choices they don’t need? A kid could he mis labelled one day merely for being jealous over someone else’s toy and a power hungry worker getting involved.

Maybe I'm "boring"/not a very sexual person, maybe I'm just a "kink shamer", maybe it's because I have Ptsd from SA, but I just don't see why it's considered sexy or normal to hit/choke women during sex.

Parents want to be their childrens friends and indulge them, rather than prepare them for the harsh realities of life.
I'm kind of seeing this within my family dynamic right now. I'm only 30 and not even a parent but I think it's important for kids to learn how to be uncomfortable and understand they might not get what they want -- at least right away. And they might fail at things, over and over sometimes.

There's someone in my family who is coming up for 20 this year and she can't be uncomfortable or experience uncomfortable emotions without looking to her mum to fix it for her - that often looks like buying her something or taking her somewhere. Sometimes this involves the extended family to come together to find a solution to make this one person happy, but of course she's a bottomless pit that just wants more.

I think overindulgence is the issue and being treated as the absolute centre of attention/most important person. I imagine it's a rude awakening when those dynamics don't apply outside of the family. I personally think it makes for people who have narcissistic traits. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Just read today - Tove Lo Swedish depression and drugs songstress - said in one interview she was bi - then confirmed she had not had a relationship with a woman - married a man last year - celebrates Pride with ‘I’m queer and over here’ post.
I don’t want people to have to prove anything, but if you aren’t living a marginalised or oppressed life, isn’t it just performative? And doesn’t that minimise what gay and gender dysphoric people live? It’s better than it was but it’s not all equality all the time.

I first started following Graham Linehan on Twitter during the Ireland abortion rights campaign - then a trans writer I also followed a while later did a really harsh tweet saying she was amazed she had followers who also followed him and you should unfollow for transphobia and basically said they would start naming people. He has been cancelled by Twitter and a lot of the media for hate speech for sticking up for women. I think the media will start to work it’s way round to praising him eventually / and Rowling. The article by Simon callow in the Times was also important.

Bloody knew it, that this would be the next frontier.

Fuck off, fuck off, fuck off. I will never tolerate paedophilia with the last breath in my body.
I am a strong believer that if you are a paedophile you should either be given maximum life tariff or just be put to death. No reason for you to be alive.

What sort of fucked up cunt says shit like this? I have no paedophile tendencies and hopefully no one I know does either.

She’s clearly a paedophile or protecting a paedophile in her life by making such atrocious comments.

That's encouraging to know some senior staff are GC, do you sense they are biding time to gather evidence etc?
Honestly, it pains me to say this but when you’ve been in the NHS for a long time you’re so bruised you’ve got no more fight left, so people are probably keeping their heads down until pension time.

That said, I was in a meeting the other day when a VERY senior male gay nurse told another bloke of for saying he was a feminist. He was like ‘men can’t be feminists, they can only be feminist allies.’ So he gets it.

Just need to vent 😞

I'm a member of a woman only hiking group on FB. It says woman only in the title. Im sure you know where this is going...

Yesterday there was a post asking what the stance is on TW. Over 120 fawning comments from woman spouting the TWAW line and how they are happy it's such a good vibes, accepting group. Comments stating that anyone who doesn't agree should leave or that they would leave if anyone objected.

I'm so annoyed about this - we can't have anything that's women only. I appreciate there are much larger issues in this area but I was annoyed as I was hoping to connect with other women who share the same interests. I was looking for FEMALE friends. I'm married to a man and work in an all male environment, I don't need anymore men in my life 😒

I knew everyone here would understand 💜
Did a TIM actually try and join, or are women just alienating other women now for no other reason than to score woke points.

What annoys me, is once upon a time, before APG's took over trans rights, Transexuals would have quietly and respectfully joined things like a woman's hiking groups and no one would have minded.

The APGs have caused so many problems.

Owen Jones celebrating a gay man being escorted from Pride by police:

EDIT: the latest posts didn’t load for me, I didn’t realise people above had already mentioned it
Media outlets note…. The absolute arrogance of that man to assume he speaks for gay people. Or that gay people are a monolith. What a shitty shitty person.

I just read the Jessica Alves article, it is nuts. Apparently scientists say it's theoretically completely possible to insert a uterus and for it to be like any other womb transplant given to a woman. Jessica hopes to become pregnant naturally but will consider IVF. They will have to have a C Section as male pelvis is too narrow to give birth...

Right so I just cannot understand how a legitimate scientist can deny basic biology. It's not just a case of the womb being an incubator for the baby. So much goes on inside a woman's body for this, more than we even know scientifically, I cannot see how any scientist can think it's just a case of adding body parts and cooking up a baby like a chicken in an oven.

Jessica is clearly mentally unwell and I cannot believe doctors have promised her a working womb without even connecting it to fallopian tubes. It's blown my mind. The article also quotes doctors who have said it would be unethical not to give a transwoman a womb as they are biological women.

Jessica could get organ failure and DIE from this. I can't believe this is the world we live in, and shame on any scientist praising and endorsing this, it should be against the Hippocratic oath.

As for his views that men's lack of direction in life is the fault of women he can fuck off. Why is everyone a bloody 'victim' these days. These twats need to get up off their arses and do something with their lives. 🤮
Precisely. If they got off their laptops, had a shower, shave and a haircut, took some exercise, started interacting with real people and looked at women as people rather than simply something to stick their puny little ducks into, they might have more success at life in general.

I found this post on another forum. Its really quite frightening:

'Social contagion means that entire friend groups in my daughter’s school are coming out as either trans-non binary or pansexual – the girls, and it’s usually groups of girls, are all grooming each other. I’ve seen this in each of my children’s years across different schools.

My autistic daughter was told that she had to come out as gay or she would be excluded by her friends and that “cis het” people were privileged and evil.

Her 9 year old step sibling is collecting various rainbow flags and said her classmate saw a Newsround clip at school and saw a poster that said “Black trans lives matter” the child went to the toilet and started crying and came back and said she was transgender.

This is social contagion and a child abuse scandal right here, right now.'

Interesting because a few weeks (months?) ago it was posted here about a Hollyoaks storyline involving a transwoman being attacked in a female prison and it made me do the biggest eye roll.
What annoyed me about that is that they described the storyline as “GC women attack harmless transwoman in prison” like what exactly are these gender critical women in jail for? A tweet? Fuck off you bunch of lunatics.

Am I supposed to cry and be horrified at the thought of a man in a wig getting a fake punch on tv by a feminist stereotype?

That's the thing about puberty blockers as well - here in the UK we're going to have 16 year old who have reached the age of consent, but have been on blockers since before puberty and are therefore less mentally and physically developed. Doesn't take a genius to work out what group of people might take a serious interest in that :(
