Appropriating symptoms, eh?

He has "hot flushes" and "brain fog" so it HAS TO BE the menopause.

It's like saying "I have a headache so it HAS TO BE brain tumour", "I've just been sick so it HAS TO BE pregnancy."

(Also love the "Well, if you define it (menopause) like that." Well, yes. Yes, we do "define it like that". Because that's what it is.)

What a twit.

This is Nick Wallis on GenderBlog. There is a link to Tempest's witness statement - 52 pages for those of you who have a free day

I've been following this case on the MN thread about it. It's bleeping ludicrous, but unfortunately the judge doesn't seem wholly impartial :(
Quoting myself to add that this is the judge in question (he's retired but is apparently serving on a day rate for this tribunal).

I guess we have the answer to why he was so arsey with NC yesterday :(

There is some speculation (on X) that the judge might be making sure that Tempest has no grounds for appeal by making sure NC is kept on a tight rein. If that is not the case, I wonder would he treat a male barrister in the same manner.

I saw that too and I'd very much love that to be the case, but apparently he's got a substantial history of complaints of misogyny (five reported in the BBC article I linked earlier, but apparently there are at least a further five similar complaints) so I'm not optimistic. :(

There's a male barrister on the questioning today, but I haven't been following closely enough to get the full measure of how the judge has been towards him

We thought that about Kemp in Sandie's case and look what happened there! I don't trust any of these judges to look beyond the Stonewall nonsense. This judge incorrectly used the old ETBB to police the pronouns and also ruled against the use of the term TIM. Tempest would have had no grounds to appeal against the use of correct pronouns nor TIM. I believe that the judge has shown bias in those directions.

Nice bag charm but I have a thing about butterflies, love real live butterflies and seeing them up close but I won't wear anything that has butterflies on. Weird/not weird 😲

Bar the top one (which is about Ant McP and e-bikes), the most-liked posts in the last 24 hrs are ALL those in support of Camilla meeting with JKR / JKR's defence of single-sex spaces
