Gender Discussion #109

Wonderful quotes from todays US SC ruling

"Men and boys with gender dysphoria are not women or girls, even if they believe that they are"

"Sex is an immutable “biological” characteristic, it is binary; and “man” and “woman,” “boy” and “girl,” are the terms that correspond to adults and children of each sex. To use language to obscure reality—to show “indifference regarding the truth”— is to lie to the public and cease to treat our fellow citizens “as equal.”

I'll start by saying that I'm retired and have been out of the education field for a long time so may be out of touch.

There was NO WAY that we ever discussed our private lives in this way with children. I think it's inappropriate that the TA has disclosed that she's having difficulty with her landlord, never mind all the medical details (which she absolutely should not have done).

The "trust" statement sounds downright creepy to me. Why should a TA be inviting discussions about "issues"? What is her role I wonder?

I agree with @Sweetcouchpotato to make any complaint general, that the TA is being too open about her personal life and this is causing granddaughter to worry about her and fixate on her problems and surgeries.
Yes I agree , Id go further & think that the TA is grooming the girl. Far too much unsuitable information being passed on from the TA. Deliberately.
Alarm Bells ringing very loudly.

One of the comments “Queen Camilla hosting J K Rowling during Pride Month is sending the trash into apocalyptic rage. I’m loving every second. Just a reminder, men cannot be women”
As well as the Queen's Reading Room, one of Camilla's other charitable interests is supporting DV charities. I am sure she has some pretty no-nonsense opinions when it comes to the safety of women and girls.

Is Webberley transitioning? She’s starting to look like the bloke from Van Halen.

If Webberley couldn’t disgust me more. Imagine calling women who’ve had breast cancer selfish. They are not having a needless procedure carried out, they are having life saving surgery. Then she comes up with her favourite, of course everyone else is too ill informed about healthcare to be entitled to an opinion. Says the absolute insane quack who doesn’t understand what male and female mean, and isn’t allowed to practice.

As a breast cancer survivor I'd "proudly" sort that evil woman out!

“Sports have just meant the absolute world to me,” said AB, a 17-year-old track-and-field athlete from Jurupa Valley, a city east of Los Angeles. She recently graduated high school. “If I had been forced to join the boys’ team, it would just be so uncomfortable for all of us. They’re failing to see on my girls’ team, everyone is super happy and super nice and no one cares. We’re just high school girls trying to have fun and play a sport we all love.”

The last article I read about this person though had a load of women who had competed and did have a problem. I guarantee if you gave the teammates referenced above a private vote a majority would not be cool with the situation

"The story of AB Hernandez has been just as much the story of the girls who have shared the field, court and podium spots with the trans athlete in recent years. The girls who have opposed Hernandez's inclusion have been allegedly targeted with harassment and death threats, just as Gardner claimed Hernandez had.

Hernandez's former track and field opponents, including Reese Hogan, Olivia Viola, Katie McGuinness and Julia Teven are among those who have been bold enough to step forward in the "Save Girls Sports" movement.

Hogan previously told Fox News Digital she faced alleged backlash for speaking out against and protesting Hernandez's presence in girls' sports.

Hernandez's own former volleyball teammates Hadeel Hazameh and Alyssa McPherson were allegedly ostracized and targeted after taking a stand against the athlete in the fall. Hazameh previously told Fox News Digital she received a death threat over it. "

Yesterday the Amos report into Maternity and Neonatal Services in England was finally published after a series of maternity scandals, where women and babies suffered trauma, prompted an investigation.

Page 1 of the report

From Annex 1

Throughout the report, there is reference to ‘women and birthing people’. The only ‘people’ who use maternity services are women. They are trying to justify the use of ‘birthing people’ as a term to be inclusive to the ‘LGBTQIA+’ community but it’s utter bull. Plenty of lesbian women have children and they are not excluded by the term ‘women’. So really it’s about ideological pandering to make sure there is no backlash from TRAs - in a report which focuses on harm experienced by women.

The recent report on NHS maternity services is damning enough, when are things going to get better. those poor women, babies and families.

Surely it shouldnt be too difficult to care appropriately for women due to give birth? And to care for the babies properly. And if mistakes are sadly made, ( I do think sometimes mistakes can be made, as we are all human, ) But then for goodness sake admit them, apologise, and make sure it doesnt happen again!
Any mistakes that might be made, could perhaps be fixed , if people are honest enough to admit to them.

The report is a total waste of time, energy and money. I’m really angry about it on behalf of all the families who have been failed so very badly
