Surely we need to be asking why trans people have such a low life expectancy. Now I'm pretty sure it's not because TERFs are murdering them and as they are biologically the same as cis (🤢) people it isn't that they were born with a lower life expectancy. So this would surely point towards suicide and mental health issues or complications of decades fake hormones??

Which then begs the question of is gender dysphoria a mental health problem?
Trans people have a life expectancy of 30-35? What a load of steaming horseshit. Absolute nonsense. I doubt enough global data on trans people even exists to come to that conclusion.

The sheer volume of older AGPs in the world surely would add at least 30 years to that number anyway 😆.

They will never allow themselves to be researched either because if those stats were remotely accurate it would indicate that this group has dire mental health issues and needs stuff like medication and therapy to treat those underlying problems which will in turn lead to questions around correlation/causation of those with MH and those being trans, which is exactly what they don't want. They'd rather demand 'healthcare' like surgery and PBs/HRT that hasn't been properly researched, I really don't understand it. It comes across almost a bit Munchausen's to me, who would choose to ever have a horrible surgery with a high likelihood of medical failure etc when you might be able to treat the underlying problem that's driving you to want that surgery in the first place with a less invasive treatment?

I just don't see how pride month is meant to actually help anyone

If you're in one of the countries that is against basic LGBT rights, chances are you can't actually go out and protest in favour of those rights or fly a flag to 'support' the issue. Having a pride month won't change that. It will have to be people in the country doing work the whole year for changes to hopefully and slowly take place

I suppose a similar thing goes for trans or gay people of colour. A pride month won't change anything for them. It will have to be either the person themselves taking the time to educate their family (which is potentially dangerous for them) or other people who are probably of colour, or understand their cultures/why those opinions may exist within that community, or generally people who are very sensitive to the issues

The general life expectancy is interesting though I wonder what the source is for that. I also wonder if it's more of an issue that other people would face also - lack of funding for free medical care which covers therapy, lack of access to that care or some sort of misunderstanding of issues by therapists/psychologists. Though, again, that's not something pride month would actually fix

I just don't see waving flags and celebrating your identity (which is genuinely great and everyone should be able to do it) as actually achieving anything substantial for people who need the help. It seems more like virtue-signalling than anything

the guy who wrote this has now edited the caption to say he's been informed that the 3rd point is not true but he hasn't actually bothered to delete the post and it is continuing to be reposted fueling misinformation. false news methinks!

Mumsnet were talking about that stat, which this article clears up: https://www.thestranger.com/slog/20...xpectancy-of-trans-women-in-the-us-just-35-no

Basically, as said above, the SA countries. In those countries a lot of transwoman are sex workers and so there'll probably the effects of homophobia and violence against prostitutes etc etc. Basically, transwomen in the UK do not face to the same extent the challenges faced by transwomen in Brazil. Just as I don't face the same challenges in the UK as a woman in Afghanistan.

They do this all the time. They appropriate. They appropriate intersex language e.g assigned at birth. They appropriate the stats of sex workers in disadvantaged countries- it should also be pointed out that in some cases there is no evidence that the victims were killed because of being trans, often shots were fired indiscriminately. They appropriate the Stonewall riots, crediting a gay drag queen who wasn't even trans when it was actually a black les.

Basically any word that comes out of their mouths is a lie or appropriated and stolen from something else so I've learned never to trust anything they say. As I said before if a trans activist told me the sky is blue, I'll look out the window to check

I find it slightly concerning that he seems to be getting a load of stick for the third bullet point and the rest is being ignored. Yes, he should have fully studied the sources of the information, but the rest of the bullet points are valid.

Suicide rates are higher in gay people - not because we have some sort of mental disorder - but because some (not all) sectors of society still aren't accepting of homosexuality. Clearly if no one derided homosexuality no one would kill themselves over it.

So many people seem to be so eager to slate the "TRAs" (or whatever you want to call them) that the L, G and B stuff is either getting ignored or attracting snide remarks -- e.g. the 'isn't the rainbow zebra crossing so awful because a couple of horses reared up when approaching it?' Is that really a big issue? Or 'why do they need 'Pride'? Everyone is fine with gays now". The post perfectly explains why Pride Month is still needed.

This isn't aimed at anyone in particular here, I just dislike the sidelining of gay issues over the trans thing. Rant over. :D

well yes he's getting loads of stick for the third bullet point and the rest are being ignored because the rest are right?? would you rather people give him stick about the whole post instead of just pointing out the misinformation? he should have deleted and reposted because he's deflecting attention from the actual issues that are relevant as to why people need pride because he's including misinformation in his post. it decreases the importance of his original words when he includes stuff that just isn't true.

You’re right, gay issues are being sidelined by the trans thing. No one would argue against that. And I haven’t noticed anyone saying we don’t need Pride anymore, only that Pride has lost its way and doesn’t seem to have the same values as it once did.

I get a lot of “whataboutery” from your post. Forget all this trans stuff, what about gay issues? Do you expect feminists to fix all societal problems, because I think that’s going to take a while 😅

I worry, and I know others do too, that LGB people are going to get stick for this. Arty Morty in today's mess pointed out that that lady in the spa conflated gender identity with sexual orientation. From the ordinary person's perspective, it's the rainbow flag that's progressing these things and so the blame will go to gay people when LGB people are also negatively impacted by this.

On the ex-human Ken, that person obviously has a michael jackson level issues with physical appearance. And for all the money they've spent, they don't even look good or appear happy. I watched the full clip on Insta and they could barely speak for (I assume) botox.

Human Ken Doll or what ever he calls himself nowadays creeps me out. I’m sorry but if that isn’t such a blatant display of mental illness and self loathing then I don’t know what is. When/where does it stop? The guy needs mental help not more surgery. Dread to think what he will look like in 30 years.

I suppose it depends - there are clearly lots of women who either don't mind being naked around transwomen, or at least think they don't mind it yet who will still go. Then there's women who maybe aren't so clued up on this stuff yet - it feels like I'm explaining to friends on a weekly basis at the moment that no, being transgender does not mean medically transitioned anymore - so won't double check. Then I imagine these places might become a hot bed for transwomen/dodgy men who find out they can easily access this space with no barriers. I wouldn't have thought they'll go out of business though.
What I actually wouldn't mind is if there were options for everyone, so for example I wouldn't be opposed to some spas who allow transwomen if it is clearly advertised and allows women who don't mind to also attend them. This means having some spas with spaces for just biological women though. Funnily enough, they're not asking for both options as always - just that all spas are like the first. But we're the unreasonable ones.
i agree, i personally wouldn't mind being in a spa where anyone was allowed tbh, what I would be annoyed by would be would be going somewhere advertised as only for women (for example) and finding that it what not the case, I have been to spas with female religious friends and for them this would be a really big issue

Just some musings this morning after the month of Pride has happened.

I definitely feel sorry for the LGB as it’s clear Pride has been hijacked by Trans people and also straight people who want to be seen as interesting or whatever. I fear that homophobia will rise because more people will become weary of all the thought-policing the TRAs are doing and because the messaging has become all messed up with the flags etc, less tolerant people might lash out and it affect LGB. Just a few years ago the LGB community message was Love is Love and we finally sorted out the marriage and a lot of society genuinely accepting.

LGB never sought to infringe upon the rights of anyone else, just wanted to be treated fairly and with respect. However, a few year later the TRAs come along, start shouting over the LGB, and essentially hijack Stonewall and are telling gay and straight people what to think, they are gaslighting us, telling us to ‘be kind’, telling us we must capitulate etc, our schools are being infiltrated with anti-science messages, grooming etc, none of which the LGB did. Young lesbians and gay children are now being put on pathways to trans ID or surgery or hormones when they should just have time and support to either treat their dysphoria (if they have that regarding their body), and support and acceptance, if it is their sexuality they are discovering. This born in the wrong body/thou shalt use pronouns/accept pensises in changing rooms is dangerous and infringes on us all in some way.
I really think we risk a generation of young LGB kids being harmed, and it’s going to be a massive scandal when everyone wakes up. Even trans people are being harmed by their own ideology because they are selling themselves harmful lies. Look at Yaniv who we are told has issues with the surgery (rotting parts)...they are setting themselves up for a life of hurt.

Pride is needed, but, not how it is going. People need to distinguish the difference between LGB and T, imo. People don’t need a month of being told off by their banks (Barclays) for not doing this or that, people need to be able to talk about Biology in class without being cancelled. People need to be able to sell flower emboridery patches in webshops without being cancelled for gender critical views. Kids need to be able to go to school and learn about diversity and equality without the extreme T ideology grooming them behind their parents’ backs. I see tweets and facebook posts from parents who say half a dozen kids in their kid’s class alone are NB or Trans ID... this is madness.

I really feel sorry for lesbians who can’t even use dating apps now without trans ID men appearing, and being cancelled for questioning it. The whole lesbians should accept pen thing is just astoundingly evil. It’s coercive.

I stand by LGB but I’m really struggling to see why I should support the T at the moment.

Buck Angel a transman who has also been a female athlete in the past and a porn star is very clear about still being female but takes testosterone and now lives as a man legally and has done so for decades. New trans people are trying to cancel him, tweeting he is too old to understand this, when he says that the trans people in changing rooms are doing this for attention and shouldn’t be there with children and also that transgender athletes should not be destroying women’s sport. Reading his timeline he makes a lot of sense.

now why can transwomen not have the same realisations? 🤔

I have so many thoughts about it. Is it just mental illness? Is it a culture that positively applauds such intense and endless navel gazing and labelling of oneself? Is it just “not like the other girls” to the power or ten? 🤷‍♀️
It's just so bloody indulging. Absolutely pathetic, too many entitled, indulged children in the developed world. The whole gender debate depends on prescribed gender norms, something that we were working on consigning to history. Maybe it's just the last dying embers having that final rally before disappearing for good.
