I wonder what the majority of gay people who survived AIDS and fought s28, who probably lost friends and partners and have fought for equality in the eyes of the law think of this meaningless gender squabbling. It trivialises their hard work.

I have no words for how dumb this is

Reading this post, I wonder how many people would be happy if I took my dogs with me into the spa? They would love the swimming pool!

Sadly...Most places wont let my dogs...male or female in......nothing to do with their lack of clothing or gender....but because they are dogs....not people!

Most grape survivors and assault survivors will tell you there is something offensive about male bodies. They are used to hurt women and girls. They are usually stronger, they are usually faster and they are something women learn to fear in the dark, at night, on the street and in the home. There are many women who can’t talk about it because they are have been killed by male bodies. These men are unforgivably blind.

If they advertied themselves as tina only spas, rather than female spas then they woud be alright. That wouldn't exculde the post op transwomen which the vast majority of people don't have an issue with. I will never understand how anyone can consider themselves trans if they have no intention of undergoing GRS.

Surely non testicular, non pen identifiers who might have the ability to menstruate if of childbearing age, identifiers of non binary genitalia that is made of a more insular design than that which hangs outside the body on individuals who identify as separate from people whose genitalia which is more insular only spas.

Yes duck those men and the trans identified horse they rode in on. They never listen to women.

Exactly @judgejohndeed in reality, everyone is a bit 'non binary' in the true sense of the word. There are some sex based stereotypes I conform to and others I don't. Same as every single person on the planet I'm sure! It's just sad that non binary in the gender ideology sense of the word means breast binders and hormones and all that stuff
I am all in favour of gender being irrelevant, and men and women and boys and girls wearing whatever they want, and whatever they feel comfortable in.

But its when words change .....and directly affect me and my life....
So I am confused by the idea of an individual having a male day, where they wear suits and ties, and a female day where they wear a wig, make up a dress and heels.
What does this make me, on the day I choose to wear no make up, tie my hair up, and wear trousers, a sweatshirt and flat shoes? Am I a woman, or girl, who cant be bothered to get dressed up , (and contribute to what I see as the largely male construct, or capitalist/consumer at all costs view,) of what a woman is meant to look like,
or am I having a male day?

I saw a brilliant tweet about how non binary is basically the 2020s version of "not like those other girls". She said "1997 me probably would have been a they/ them"

well yes he's getting loads of stick for the third bullet point and the rest are being ignored because the rest are right?? would you rather people give him stick about the whole post instead of just pointing out the misinformation? he should have deleted and reposted because he's deflecting attention from the actual issues that are relevant as to why people need pride because he's including misinformation in his post. it decreases the importance of his original words when he includes stuff that just isn't true.
Not at all. You misunderstand me. I meant that in their rush to criticise the third bullet point, a lot of people aren't giving any backing to the rest of them. Which means the L, G and B part of "LGBT" is being ignored/sidelined. I think we actually agree with each other to be honest!

You’re right, gay issues are being sidelined by the trans thing. No one would argue against that. And I haven’t noticed anyone saying we don’t need Pride anymore, only that Pride has lost its way and doesn’t seem to have the same values as it once did.

I get a lot of “whataboutery” from your post. Forget all this trans stuff, what about gay issues? Do you expect feminists to fix all societal problems, because I think that’s going to take a while 😅
I've noticed lots of people say we don't need Pride anymore. I've had people say it to me. Not on here, I was talking more generally. I wasn't intending to "whatabout", I only mentioned it because of the post that had been shown in the quote to my original message.

I expect feminists to do whatever they like - many issues cross (e.g. many feminists are gay, or have gay family/friends etc). It's possible to focus on more than one issue at a time and yet I fear the T issue is taking over the rest. Again, from your first sentence we seem to agree anyway.

Saw this on Twitter:

Also, a thread on Mumsnet is reporting the latest from the Green Party's identity collector:

"'Kathryn has now taken over, calling themselves the Chair and removing the rights of women to organise and discuss women's matters on the Green Party forum. Kathryn has gone so far as to delete all previous posts.

Their statement:
"Over the last week I have tried to find a way to moderate this space in compliance with the Equality Act. Unfortunately I can't see a way of doing this that the 100 or so users of this space would be happy with and that wouldn't take a lot of my or someone else's time. While we have to look after the interests of 10,000’s Green Party members.
So sadly I have had to lock the ability of uses to post and comment on this space. I've also deleted all recent posts on the space by users, to ensure that we are complaint with the law in a way that makes no judgement on any one post.
I have to bring it up with the rest of the committee but my feeling is that is space will become a one way commutation tool from the committee to the membership.
More updates will be made soon.

Kathryn Bristow, Chair of Green Party Women'"

This Green party women thing, is so so frustrating and unethical..........

It would be lovely if we lived in a world where all men and women were completely equal, and where womens rights and womens issues didnt need their own separate place. But until that date happens, how dare one woman do this ........

If Climate issues and Green party issues werent so vitally important at the moment, I would be cancelling my membership over this.....

Elements of the Green Party are great for womens rights, with Caroline Lucas heading the party, and men working in partnership with women, but....cancelling women's rights to discuss womens issues....is dreadful.
Set up a subforum to discuss these issues and make them fair......not just cancel them!

Oh duck this tit. Seriously, duck this. This "you're just afraid and therefore the problem" gaslighting is the language of abusers.
I'd agree that it's literally all about penises ... that is kinda the problem! It's always aggressive men getting their pen out and making us call it a girldick 😡
The lack of empathy for women who have suffered sexual abuse is absolutely staggering

If a woman is confronted with an adult pen unexpectedly it is usually unwelcome and a prelude to something bad happening. Without consent it needs to stay out of sight of women. And of course always out of sight of children. Are they stupid?

Scottish Greens are a bit of a nightmare at the moment, with Lorna Slater throwing GC women under the bus at every possible opportunity. For example:

I understand your overall point about women acting as men to get into male dominated professions, rather than being transgender.

I think you can make that point without referring to homosexuality in men as it doesn't really strengthen or add anything to your argument. Especially the weird stuff about Peter Tatchell?!
The 'weird stuff' about Tatchell is a matter of fact and should be repeated often, so people are aware.

The gay stuff is relevant because it's the exact same pattern that preceded the trans stuff in academia - trying to shoehorn modern concepts and interpretations onto historical figures and archaeology, for political reasons. The rage for 'pinking' history' or literature or maths or whatever else is absolute old hat now though, so gays are getting thrown out for 'transing' the past. It's all dubious nonsense.

BTw, I believe the statement that homosexuality is the sexual attraction of two people of the same sex is now considered 'transphobic'! Stickers with the saying have been spread around during Pride week and triggered the TRAs. Problem is, if sex doesn't exist and 'gender' is all socially constructed, blah blah, then homosexuality by default doesn't exist. The LGBT movement has checkmated itself. Gays are now about to get as erased as women (oh sorry, chest feeders and menstruators) ideologically as a concept. T doesn't like sharing space with anyone, not even the LGB. Always was a mistake to ever add it to the pantheon for various reasons (like it being a mental issue and not a sexual orientation) but never saw it going as far as it has.

The green party voted against women having sex-based rights at a recent conference so I wouldn't expect them to be so lenient as to have a subforum.
