I love my little channel I have 500 subs and do it for a hobby even if my channel grew I'd keep my job I love it too much working with my friends for nearly nine years now it's fun even though it's retail and not many people do enjoy that YT influencers I swear suddenly grow and lose the passion when the money comes or in Gems case change when an odd man comes along what is with his comments seriously I'd be creeped out not date the guy!

I genuinely have so much concern for her, she seems like she's really lost herself and her personality in being an influencer, she touched on it a little in her 'what colours for christmas' discussion but I think there is seriously more that she needs to unpack, I think she's obviously very concerned about what people think of her and worried about sticking to this beige brand of herself that she's created (that no one even wants tbh we want realness) that she's forgotten who she is and what she actually likes and how she wants to behave.
I have concerns that Jamie is also a part of this, they seem to play happy families on YT but there's something about him that seems very possessive and makes me uncomfortable, she's definitely shrinking herself since she got with him.
Maybe she is also struggling since her dads death and also in general just being home ALL the time, not seeing anyone and not really doing anything - we all felt it during lockdown I wouldn't be surprised if her mental health was tanking from this lifestyle.
Whatever it is for the sake of herself and her career she needs to address it and make some big changes..
I'd also like to be recommended some channels that are actually going to have colour and fun content this Christmas - I hate people trying to make Christmas into something from an interiors magazine, put on your ugly jumper, fill your tree with ornaments that are fun and nostalgic and spend the season socialising ffs

Must admit if I was her mum I'd be more than a little worried. I looked back on the old instagram account she had with Charlie and she was so different. I know it's over 3 years ago and we all change, but her voice/accent is so different now. Also she wore lovely clothes back then, none of these baggy oversized shirts/shackets/jumpers that she now favours. She has a gorgeous little figure. Im not saying go OTT but bring back some of the old Gemma. She seems so tired alately, just not herself. Reach out and get help Gemma if you need it.
I just want to reach out to her, it’s sad to watch her waste her life. She is clearly struggling mentally following her dads death. It just seems like she has lost any enthusiasm for life and is forcing these videos. Seems as though she doesn’t have any friends/ close family members except her mum and Jamie and her cats. It’s sad really. I have seen a lot of negative comments about Jamie and I hope that it’s not true that he is controlling. I think he comes across ok and I think she has lost herself more because of losing her dad.

She definitely got mental health issues. I think she suffers from anxiety and depression personally. She had an eating disorder (I have seen a picture of her on her old Facebook and she’s a bone) so who’s not to say this obsessive pursuit with perfection is another manifestation of a disorder.
I lose sympathy for her because I find her also wasteful, in genuine due to following trends and rinsing her followers, and greedy.

Well... the vlog was okay-ish.
It was fun that she went through all her Xmas stuff and is reusing things. I like that she will add a deep red to her theme this year.
As expected and what most of us sensed already, she is really still very much struggling with the death of her dad. I truly hope she starts some therapy for that

I actually don’t think I can watch her vlogs anymore …. She seems so alone and sad and talking to a camera isn’t going to help her… she needs real friends around her not virtual strangers … I feel like someone who actually knows her needs to reach out and help her!
But she is someone who prioritises materialism over mental health! she'll always put £££ before therapy or taking a step back. she couldnt even take proper time off when he dad died ffs if you need any more evidence. she said it was because she didnt want to let her viewers down without content, but that's total crap because every video had an ad in it still. the irony of her very own first business and it capitalises on wellness. at this point, i dont feel sorry for her, she's made her bed and is lying it in!!

Some people have to keep working through grief, illness, to keep a roof over their heads and food in their children's mouth. She's like a princess in a castle looking out over her land and saying woe is me.
I know some of you have dropped the pregnancy speculation but I seriously think she is. At the end of the vlog, there was a huge emphasis on her crying about her dad not being here ‘for big life events’.

You know what… I read this and thought “we’ll know if she’s not drinking with Jamie” because they both like a glass of wine.
I went back to the pumpkin carving video as I remembered he had a big old glass of red. She doesn’t have one.
If she is pregnant then she shouldn't be pulling the loft ladders down and keep going up in the attic. She had to jump and yank the steps down and they were so heavy she had to use 2 hands.

So I took a break from Gemma as I was just so bored - then watched her stories on insta today. She bought a Christmas tree in September OMG. Then was disappointed when she opened it this week as it didn’t look like the pictures, you can tell she’s deeply upset. She is so beyond normal right now, it’s like her life is ruled by holidays.
She then says she immediately ordered another tree paying 20 quid for next day delivery (desperado) and it never arrived and she’s having a meltdown. First world problems

This came across so desperate and sad, spending all that on delivery costs just to make sure you can rush putting it up and get the video out - it’s the first weekend of November chill out Gemma! Have some pie and peas and watch a few fireworks, no need to be scrambling about
Her whole life really is about content and I wonder at what point she’s going to realise She’s missed out on years of authentic experiences because she’s been too busy worrying about getting the perfect shot/photo/video

I also think that Gemma pinned a lot of hopes on to the new house as she expected it would make her happy as it looks so “perfect” and it’s so “cosy” living in the countryside by the motorway, but it hasn’t fixed her low mood and loneliness at all.
