Raya is still a mass consumer at heart. In those charity shops in Brighton, she always bought ten dresses, or ten games, or fifteen books at once, thinking it's okay because they are second hand. But it's the same mentality as fast fashion. She has a gluttonous approach and doesn't really value anything .I just watched a few of the jungle diaries and I just get the vibe that Raya just isn’t cut out for this life. I feel like having a baby has maybe opened her eyes to it all and opened her eyes to the way Louis doesn’t behave like a grown man. She seems irritated by him a lot.

Also love that she is wearing a shein dress in the latest vlog… so sustainable

I know this because I have the same one (but I don’t pretend to be sustainable)
I mean to be fair to them, last week the house only had 1 bedroom and now they are adding multiple ones plus a gym and bathroomThe look on the builders face when raya said she wanted a 3rd bathroom 🫢
they go and visit “actual” eco homes with people with a toilet in their bedroom and now they want 3 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, an office each for all that work they do and so much more 🫢
also did they not say years ago that this wasn’t going to be their main home? It was going to eventually be a guest home? It sounds it
Totally agree! It’s unhygienic and it looks like it probably smells bad. I also think it’s a bit of a safety blanket for him, in the sense that his entire personality seems to be wrapped up in his hair.Louis' hair needs to go. Soon his rat's nest / tarantula is going to be hanging from the back of his otherwise bald head. It looks gross and unkempt. They both look like hobos in their gaudily furnished home
Oh my gosh, you're right, they had that week long wedding celebration with all their friends! I completely for got about that. I think they still own the land at this point. They mentioned that they will be building something quick and makeshift as soon as possible in order to fulfill the obligation that they have to start building within a certain number of years. They are bending the rules of their oh-so-loved community, by building some kind of shack to place their bus under instead of building the house they agreed to build. Again, they are disorganized and disrespectful, basically fucking their neighbors over. The reason behind building deadlines is to ensure that houses aren't isolated between vacant lots, but of course Louis and Raya are above the law, and allowed to be selfish and obnoxious.Louis and Raya did actually get married over a year ago. And they said they specifically moved to England before the birth to take advantage of the NHS.
It really is the most amusing thing that these two pretentious twats are living the typical middle class suburban life in England after selling this dream of an unconventional tree house in the jungle somewhere tropic to viewers for over a decade. Wouldn't be surprised if they've already sold the Costa Rica land.
I remember on his US road trip he wanted to cook himself to save money, but it took him 3 tries to even buy the right pan for his induction stove and then he "cooked" one meal before giving up and getting takeout 3 times a day.Watching him try and cook in the latest video is hilarious. He hasn't a clue and he's literally just making pasta and sauce.
Andy Murray didn't eat that many when playing Wimbledon!Neo is eating 5 bananas a day sorry what
I guess it's convenient? They will have someone living in the house while they are in Costa Rica, I'm sure this is a priority after the burglary. And I've always thought they don't really know how to be with themselves or even each other, hence always looking for distraction and entertainment (which is kind of how they see their child, they are excited for the experiences they have because of him and want to live vicariously through him, because their own experiences and sensations aren't enough for them). They are greedy gluttons who can never slow down. But why?! Do they need the money? All those dogs and a newborn baby too. Seems like a guaranteed way of breaking up a friendship![]()
So I hadn't actually watched the full video when I commented so I see Louis did do some sort of 3d render but still ! You can tell the architects/ construction team are getting frustrated. Someone commented on the video saying something along the lines of " your architects deserve a gift when they're done" and Raya replied saying " their gift is our life savings"I know, it's a whole new house now the bus is gone. Three new rooms downstairs and upstairs - 6 new rooms!! My fav bit was when they walked into the bedroom and Louis was looking for something that had been done and then realized it had been done wrong
They seemed like they were short on money before so I've no idea where this new cash is coming from. And they haven't even tackled the "garden" which is currently completely unsafe for the kids.
Yes - second-hand is a good idea in general, but it becomes a problem when people buy a lot of first-hand clothes because anyway they can be then second-hand clothes so that's fine - which is why the market for second-hand clothes is huge. I volunteered in a charity shop for a while, the amount of donations was crazy. It suits people like Raya who will buy a lot of second-hand clothes feeling guilt-free but at the end of the day it still means a voluminous production of clothes.Raya is still a mass consumer at heart. In those charity shops in Brighton, she always bought ten dresses, or ten games, or fifteen books at once, thinking it's okay because they are second hand. But it's the same mentality as fast fashion. She has a gluttonous approach and doesn't really value anything .
I can’t remember which but one of the recent videos has Louis and Raya swanning off for their evening meal while “the guy cleans our car…or his wife does”. Clearly a top priority in a jungle, god forbid your hire car gets dusty. I hope the locals are doing well out of these white saviours. And it doesn’t look like Alegria can provide much produce anyway, those leaf-shaped ornamental gardens won‘t feed many. Louis is always up that shop that looks like a classic holiday destination supermarket of imports. You just know that while Raya is swanning around with her camera there, selling herself as an earth goddess, that a poor local is doing all the physical labor for minimum wage in the background. None of these people have ever gotten their hands dirty and planted something themselves.
I'm guessing Raya is already on "maternity leave", so he's doing this to not miss out on the high December earnings.Anyone watching Louis' US road trip in the "DIY electric van"? It's so stressful but he seems a bit out of his depth. I don't understand why he makes it so difficult for himself. Maybe for the content?
I still don't know how they're going to raise a family.
Yeah, it's harsh, but also true. The comment is no longer there. I always wonder how much negative feedback they receive. Their comment section is 100% positive comments, but I guess they delete anything they don't like immediately. Which is fair enough, but it also glosses over the hypocrisy of many of their actions. There is no space for viewers to discuss issues like consumerism, the unsustainability and general selfishness of Raya and Louis' lifestyle, or their massive carbon footprint, and these are perfectly legitimate observations that Raya and Louis should be able deal with. To me, it just shows that they are spineless and have no real values.Hilarious. That comment about Raya’s weight though is awful!
But that's exactly why they name precise numbers - one of those parasocial freaks will now donate the 15k for the house. We've seen it so many times with other Youtubers happen.Sorry…you are right… I did slander them a bit. It went on and on and he had his top off so I sped it up
They have 15k to pay on the house and 45k to last the next 3 months. Still they shouldn’t be naming amounts IMO. There are far more worthy causes for donation.
