She said it herself she doesn’t want to buy new paint, she promotes bags over 1000 of pounds says their investments but yet she doesn’t buy new paint (no shocker as she haggles in charity shops!)
I feel everyone would have a nicer comments if she had an more honest approach
Something like “ya the paint isn’t ideal but I just don’t want to buy new paint yet”
if it were only sponsored by farfetch 😂 she’d have new paint

pink and green are complimentary colours, but she needs different shades of both to make it work.
I can get over most the flat apart from the grotty bathroom. But this pink and green bedroom I think you’re right the shades could be wrong but it just doesn’t work at all. And the fact everyone thinks it, I can’t understand why she can’t see how bad it looks. I keep expecting it to get better and it just doesn’t.

I agree and was surprised that I really liked the lounge room walls, even the colour.. it’s not too girly-girl pink for my tastes either. I like the floor but again, not with the walls! Maybe it won’t look like such a stark contrast when she has rugs and furniture down, we’ll see. I really don’t like the bedroom at all, I think maybe the fancy wardrobe all in the same colour an just some simple but interesting cornices would like nice on the walls. But again, if she likes it, all props to her I guess lol
Something like this but matches the style of the flat. My family home was built in the 50s and we had different cornices in different rooms and it’s something I really loved and gave the house a little character without being too ornate or fussy

Freddy gets away with her sass because she's white and (very) conventionally attractive and she is probably narcissistic enough to not see how hypocritical she is. Her ability to sell us this persona as an angelic looking sassy girl is a perfect example of the halo effect and white privilege. A black or brown woman in Freddy's shoes would have been typecast as angry, rude, nasty, too materialistic, glib, you name it. I don't doubt she is cognizant of this bias which is why she's so obsessed with her image, it is her greatest asset, her entire life is dedicated to it, she does her utmost to adhere to the standards of white femininity and beauty to maintain her position of power

I agree. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Personally I think she is attractive in the conventional sense but I wouldn’t go so far today she’s beautiful. Definitely not when she opens her mouth. I’ve met a few really stunning women in my time 2 on my travels and 1 lady who was born a male. What made these 3 people particularly stunning were not only their looks were their personalities. They were Turkish, Namibian and Russian. Kindness, giving, really lovely people to know. When they smiled their eyes sparkled, when you were down they’d be there come rain or shine. Freddy hasn’t got any of that in her unless she profits from it figuratively or financially. There will come a day where Freddy will get old, wrinkled and bitter more so than she is now. Like I said in my opinion based on countless examples, she will end up a very lonely person by how she treats people. That will have a detriment to her livelihood as it is based on public engagement. You’re absolutely right that society has pigeonholed a certain look towards negativity which for somebody self professing as Freddy in terms of her alleged intelligence, she’s fallen for it hook, line and sinker. The Disney bullshit, Gossip Girl, Mean Girls it’s a shame because most women I’ve known and met who are blonde including my daughters aren’t that image at all. Freddy makes herself and that ideology a very bad name actually. Nazism was founded on the very same ideology that she’s fallen for with all the bullshit TV/ films she watches. I’m not accusing her of that belief however if she carries on she certainly will give off that impression if she’s not careful. Also at her age it’s juvenile but I’m not surprised with her mother loving Dance Moms that she’d acquire that liking for trash tv and films.

She choose to post her flat renovation to the public, and she getting mad when the public makes a comment about a paint colour?
Instead of playing the victim she should just stop posting these videos if she can’t handle comments that the paint shades aren’t the best
I actually don’t know how she would cope in literally any other type of job
I was a student on placement and construction criticism is a given in order to improve yourself
It’s all about mindset I suppose

@Hungarianka I think you’re so right about her ending up lonely, it’s always seemed very striking to me that she seems to have no friends? Not necessarily in her videos (Josie and Amy are colleagues not real friends) but she never says she’s going out with friends or on holiday etc with friends. She’s always either with other influencer colleagues or JJ. I know she said ‘all the girls at college were horrible’ so she clearly didn’t make any friends at sixth form, she also doesn’t seem to have any from school. This wouldn’t be so weird if she had gone to uni or something as I think most people (not all, as a caveat, but generally) tend to make their lifelong friends at university…but she didn’t have that experience. Working in her industry must also be quite a lonely experience because she doesn’t have a place of work where she sees other people all day long and if she did, I’m sure others would be beating her narcissistic attitude out of her. She seems quite de-socialised in a way, the only people she has around her are her doting family and pushover boyfriend.

Which is good that she has that support network. It’s the future that is concerning. Her attitudes turn people off and it’s a sad indictment on the lack of values she supposedly claims she has. Insecurity I think plays mostly the biggest part in it. On one hand it can’t be easy being a public figure. Whether people like it or not she and other influencers are public figures. Some can handle constructive criticism some handle it her way. Don’t get me wrong there are some seriously twisted trolls out there but there are some individuals like myself and others who don’t resort to the tactics some others employ while critiquing these peoples videos. I come from a former Communist country and her aggressive tactics at suppressing free speech with her audience is exactly why I am here. I believe in free speech and more importantly the TRUTH. She has told many unsubstantiated claims over the years along with her friend in Warwickshire. Also her delusions of grandeur, spending and her attitudes towards others who challenge her politely. I’ve seen comments on her comments section, perfectly polite met with vitriolic like rage and spiteful judgments from her. The problem is she tries to outsmart her viewers but ends up falling flat on her face figuratively speaking intellectually when people dare to reply back to her. Then she’ll delete it. You cannot fool people forever.

I said in a previous post some time ago if influencers got a grip of reality, stopping lying, scamming and being ultra superior then this site would never exist. Until YouTube and other media platforms start bringing in regulatory authorities then this site I have no doubt will remain. By bringing in regulatory rules like the Advertising Standards Agency has and Ofcom it would protect the viewers and bring much more peace than has been in recent years. Youtubers would have to toe the line so to speak. Those who do have no problems and it would effectively make the landscape more professional and maybe reduce numbers of negativity. However many would be out of work as the rule breaking has contributed in tens of thousands, millions of subscribers. It would be a wonderful way to filter the genuine from the fakes.

At the end of the day, if you are expecting to make a living being a glorified saleswoman off the bat of being some subscribers cyber best friend and raking it in, asking for advice on your home then don’t be surprised if some disagree. It’s part of the parcel of public living. That said abuse doesn’t should never be accepted and having that regulatory body could offer more protection. Being insecure, nasty and bullying like Freddy often exhibits it not only denigrates the industry of influencers but brings the issues and scandalous behaviour and practices of their success right to the surface. Unintentional I’m sure but it proves her lack of intelligence and more for her ego and ultimately her bank balance.

Its honestly baffling to me that she criticizes every single thing that does not fit into her all-pale, "classic (read snoozefest)", juvenile world, and yet gets extremely butthurt over the fact that people don't her hideous pink and green walls. I don't know what world she is living in, but her tween "Freddy can do no wrong" followers are soon going to grow up, and unless she changes her attitude she will be left with no income source at all. It's not like she has any other qualifications to get a job someplace anyway.

This will happen sooner than we think. I feel like she throws temper tantrums quite often, especially in her own home. The only people I know that throw tantrums like she does are those who are under 10 years old. She gets mad over the littlest thing, like Coco touching her bag. Her personality is starting to peek through her online persona and it's not pretty.

If you scroll to the bottom of her IG feed, she has some pictures up of her with some of her longtime friends. Seems like she and JJ share the same circle of friends (makes sense too seeing as they were friends long before they got together) but I find it odd that she never mentions those group of friends anymore. The closest 'friend' that she has now is Josie, and it's obvious to me that they're only friends cos they work in the same industry.

Why is she referring to herself in the third person?
I was confused by this too. I thought someone else posted the story lol

Please can this site introduce an eye roll emoji. Not to your comment but over her self indulgence
Yes!! This would be so fitting with our conversations here 😆

It's not like she has any other qualifications to get a job someplace anyway.
I dont know how she's not worried about this. Looks fade. She needs to have backup plans in place.

I’m done! She had a free and gifted hair appointment to get her highlights done and now she got her brows done for free. It was Freddy on her own channel talking about how lockdown is difficult because she can’t go to her beauty appointments.. but sure go and get it all done for free. I feel like a peasant who works a full time job on a crap salary and has to pay for everything myself and I’m left with less than £200 a month!!

I think I have made a similar comment about this in the beige friend thread because I truly hate when normal folks are made to feel less by these iNfLuEnCeRs and it bothers me to the core.

Please don’t let these ungrateful people make you feel bad or any less. They don’t know the meaning of living or the value of real things. These people live just for the perfect photo or pose. When things don’t go their way, you see childish tantrums. They live through a lens/camera than actually living or taking in the important moments but no, they need to gram it. You continue to do you and take pride in yourself, your hard work and independence. Their cute fantasy world will crash down soon or later and all they will be left with is “nothing and overly filtered photos”.

Her channel is sorta dying for someone with 1.15mil followers and crazy that some aren’t even hitting the 100k mark (10-20%). 😂 yikes

While she gets all that, you have one thing she’ll never have. Decency. ❤

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it.
I’ve seen so many influencers in the past get gifted so much that when I even want to buy work clothes from a supermarket or a discount store, I think twice. I don’t think people like Freddy will ever know the truth meaning to work for anything.
Even her holidays are gifted which is such a joke

Sorry just popping on to say I think it’s especially crappy of influencers to do this after lockdown when those in the beauty industry have been royally fucked over and struggled financially this past year. The absolute bare minimum someone like her who drops thousands on a bag without a second thought could do is PAY for her hair to be done and tip on top of that! She could then absolutely still advertise the business and help them out for free, why wouldn’t you! She’s in such a position of privilege and many people including hairdressers have struggled so much and she doesn’t even have the basic decency to pay them, knocks me sick
