I feel so bad for Daniel. He is so talented and fast, but he has such a bad timing to get a good seat!
It's not even the McLaren is a bad seat. He just hasn't got up and running with it yet.

But you do get the feeling he could be one of the best drivers to never win a title because he's never quite at the right team at the right time.

He'll come good again. Sky F1 mentioned about him moving seats too often. Really he had to leave Red Bull. Pretty obvious they had their number 1.
Yeah, there was no doubt he had to leave Red Bull because they were firmly setting up their stall for Verstappen. All their drivers since also evidence for that.

Yes! I can see him get lucky like Kimi!

Well the usual 3 for normal 3 but surprised by Verstappen not on the front row. Something not right?
I am surprised by Bottas! I don't know about you guys, but for me the Mercedes crew never looks happy for Bottas. Red Bull and Ferrari has their favourite drivers too, but they atleast clap for their second driver.

It's disgusting. Lots of comments on Instagram about how bad it was.

Daniel in 16th tomorrow.... i don’t know how long he’ll want to stay around if he continues to be this far behind, feels to me like he just is a seat jumper
Continues to be this far behind? It's the third race. And this is the first qualifying Lando has beaten him in. Yes a shocking result, but not 'usual'.

(Am very protective of Daniel and want to see him do well, but this comment makes little sense to me)

FINALLY !! Absolutely sick of horrible guys on Twitter saying he’s not as good as he was/career is over/lando is a better driver

Think people forget we as humans can have off days- and the fact it’s the 3rd race, people are so fickle

(not saying the original poster is fickle by the way ..Twitter people are a horrid bunch )

What I meant was if this continues across the season, I’m sure there is no doubt he’ll be fine later on but you can imagine (or maybe it’s just me) if he continues to be further back than where he should/wants to be he will feel let down. I think it depends how much you like the individual drive too as to what your opinion, he’s got great potential and obviously it takes time to break in, will just be interesting to watch it over the course of the season
ETA: and apparently the mclaren driver who is out in Q1 has usually earnt a podium in this race so could be some sort of blessing for daniel

I get what you're saying, but 'continues to be this far behind' was poorly worded IMO. It's one qualifying.

That looked mental what Sky F1 just did with the 2 Red Bull drivers nit the chat the game going around in go karts and bursting balloons filled with red or blue power covering the pair!
