I really did think Lewis would retire with Merc, maybe a final full circle moment at McLaren (pre-Piastri) at the most. But Ferrari? never thought it would actually happen.

Honestly think they should bring back the “European GP” with a few tracks in rotation that haven’t got permanent spots instead of signing such long permanent deals with unproven tracks like this. Like Hockenheim, Portimao, Nurburgring, now Barcelona too etc..

Update about the VistaJet - it's just about to fly to Bologna and then it's going to Madrid. So looks like they are dropping Junior and then going home.
I think I've actually seen some announcement that you can greet Carlos sr. at the Madrid airport at around 5PM, so yes, those flights are definitely aligned to that.

toto had knee surgery and was off because of that - but as much as I supported Merc in the past, they openly didn’t treated Lewis that well with his first podiums and Toto seems a bit colder towards Lewis and more supportive of George

biggest question will that move survive the Toto & Fred friendship or will a Frozen vibe be between those two now?

Toto and Lewis took AD2021 differently. It seems to me Lewis worked it over and it has been motivating him and helped to #keeppushing And he really is his own motivation engine so to speak, I cannot put it in words but he is just going, like he is one of these people who just don't stop, like their battery is always full or almost full.

Toto stayed in his head too long (and they did not file an appeal, what I think they should have done, even if it would be unsuccessful, it would show fighting and they could say afterwards they did everything), losing leader status seemed to kind of stopped him in his track, what might have affected management style or vibe.I don't know how to express it. They just give different vibes.

And I also think maybe Lewis got frustrated that they are not listening to his comments about the car and he knows catching RB is a years long project and he doesn't see it in attitude there or just sees their current approach will not work. Toto also seemed to really not let George feel he is the 2nd driver, what imo was sometimes disrespectful to Lewis who gave Merc everything.

Fred knows Lewis since he was young, he is, again, for lack of better words, a warmer person,maybe this is what Lewis needed.

I am trying everything to explain to myself that the decision is not related to anything like a decision to leave after 2025 and wanting to try Ferrari, pressure free, for last year. God I hope he stays for new regulations.

I am still in shock and waiting for more news, and (esp.did toto know, did Carlos know, is Bono going with Lewis, what happens to Carlos, what happens to Ferrari wag policy , etc.)
And I have a lot of work to do (thankfully no deadline!) , too much to analyse this all
