If Max didn't exist this could have actually been an interesting season! Alonso finally in a competitive car, Perez in the best car but inconsistent, Mercedes car maybe improving after upgrades, Lewis Vs George... Ferrari might still be depressing though...

i saw this message on the bbc live feed last night and i now want this to happen. like you say, there is so much potential (and like crofty said on commentary, would be an interesting battle for wins if max wasn’t there! )

Max at 25 has the potential to dominate for a while, even when he didn't have the best car he was always there or there abouts. I am struggling to see how Perez is struggling so much tbh I think they should have one race where Max starts at the back and we see power through or he has to switch cars for race only

I feel bad saying this cos I'm all for women being represented in such a male dominated sport, but I just don't find Bernie Collins engaging at all. Her insights are super interesting and she does add value, but she's just a bit wooden. Maybe she needs more time in front on the camera and will relax into it.

Yes I’ve said this at home too, she comes across as a very intelligent person but missing that media spark, she obviously knows her stuff but her tone of voice just doesn’t get the importance of her insight across.

Yes and yes! She doesn't seem to talk with any real passion or excitement, despite having such detailed insider knowledge. There just doesn't seem to be any banter or rapport. I'm sure she's probably a lovely person but my early first impression is that she isn't comfortable in front of the camera.
