Not sure what the bit about Lando's level means. They're usually pretty close until there's a mechanical issue.

Lando hasn’t won a race, it’s just a snidey comment from Zak. McLaren is not one big happy family that they like to portray.
Really unnecessary that last remark. Yes Lando has at times outperformed Daniel but if this the toxicity he has to deal with no wonder he's underperformed. Similar to seb at ferrari he completely lost his way.
Lando’s hardly been bringing home podium finishes week after week, so McLaren really to look beyond Daniel for their issues cos they clearly don’t stop at him.
Also, I wouldn't be surprised that, if given the opportunity, Lando wouldn't think twice before switching team. ( I love Lando, he looks a lot like my younger brother - coloring apart - but his fans are loud and making him bigger than he really is)
i like him but also in a very little brother way - he’s sweet and i’m happy when he does well but agree that his fanbase is loud and borderline toxic sometimes. his sometimes flippant and sarky interview replies bug me too, you can be sincere lando! fully agree that i don’t think he has huge loyalty to maclaren and would easily switch if a better offer came along.
though i will forever be grateful to him for being one half of carlando and for bringing that glorious driving with a bowl of milk video into my life. i still watch it when i’m feeling sad
I'm putting it out there. Danny Ric will be gone. He was outperformed last year, the very same is happening this year and psychologically, that must be taking its toll. The fact McLaren are even making statements shows how much it is being noticed and discussed in F1 circles. I'm pretty sure commentators mentioned his performance recently (Jenson?).
I get there are mechanical issues and also the whole car setup but McLaren probably feel that well, the car is working fine for Lando. You're an F1 veteran at this stage, why can't you make it work
Zak put that comment at the end because ultimately that is what will justify if they do end up booting him out... He didn't match Lando's performance for 2 years so maybe someone else can & score more team points.
