I immediately thought of a fat ball you hang up for birds with a cherry on top.
Oh gawd, my dog loved those. She used to seek them out in garden centres to eat them. One time she swallowed one with the green netting surrounding it and I had to wait until the netting exited her as I was worried it would get stuck. I grew to gate the fact that they were often in boxes at ground level in pet shops and garden centres for easy access.

The female chef, Liv Burt, on Saturday Kitchen, does not look well to me. Has she always looked like that?

I made some brownies yesterday and put some of them in tiny little loaf pans. It worked really well. They had a crunchy top and softer middle. I had bought these loaf pans ages ago for mini banana breads and hasn’t used them yet.

Anyone gave any recommendations for a tasty chilli oil please?

I’m planning on making Willie Nelson’s banana bread recipe. It involves cinnamon and chocolate too plus eggs but no other fat. Make in a square pan. Picture taken from the Orangette blog.

it is really addictive, but be super careful not to spill it as it stains badly!

Thanks / is it only available that way as delivery is more than the oil.
I get it in the asian supermarket near my house or in china town, (I think even the sainsbury's near me stocks it now, but more expensively) that was justthe first place that came up for the picture!

I don;t know about everywhere, but in a lot of specialist shops like that (near me at least) you can actually ask them to order stuff as they can do it in bulk and something like chilli oil is a pretty standard thing they can sell

So the person who ordered this didn’t spot the mistake either before, or after. But what about the person/company who produced it? Metal signs can’t be cheap.

We have one of the lowest literacy rates in the developed world (know that’s a problematic term so soz) - the research is old & mainly relates to teenagers but they then age and become of working age with poor literacy.

I definitely believe that, I didn't notice until the advent of social media, but I would say that probably half of the native english speaking friends I have on facebook cannot use apostrophes properly and do not know the difference between things like they're , their and there, and a lot of these are people who have gone to uni, it is terrible

Absolutely! It is horrific how many native English speakers are unable to use the correct your/you’re every day on social media too. It’s not that difficult; you’re is short for you are and your is the possessive, your bag, your phone. See also a lot, often incorrectly written as alot. I do despair at the low levels of literacy I see online.

I notice it even in newspapers in terms of punctuation sometimes, my punctuation here is pretty lax because I am just gossiping online, usually on my phone, but if I am writing an essay or anything formal I would make the effort!
