i wonder the reason for divorce? Doesn’t sound like it was what skyler wanted he described it as feeling like a form of grief
I feel looking back at older blogs Jamie seemed so disinterested in skyler and like she couldn’t bare to be around him.it was probably just that Jamie fell out of love with him
Nah, i think it's difference in faith.

Skyler has a giant new tattoo, his brother shaye has a viral video about gendr dysphoria and leaving the church, theres a pattern there

Yes I totally agree that it’s the faith difference.
I thought Jamie’s family was very Mormon, so she is more likely to be attached to the Mormon faith.

In Today's vlog...Hanging out with his brother Shaye, the one who "came out" and left the church with the wife in the viral video.

He's wearing a long line cardigan, hair in a bun, and wearing diamond earrings, interesting! I wonder if he's exploring gender more now.

His appearance is certainly very different now - good for him, but I hope that his wife has realised that she can say that it isn't what she expected or signed up for and that she realises that she has a right to be happy herself. In their 'coming out' vlog her input was very much about trying to convince herself that life was still wonderful.

I agree, I think it's hard because you'll be perceived as not being supportive but it's valid. I support trans people, gender nuetral people etc..but if my partner transitioned to female, it wouldn't be the same.

I think that people who come out when they are older often become very selfish and self centred. Yes he should absolutely be whoever he is, but he shouldn't expect his wife to have to pretend that everything is fantastic and that life carries on as normal. It doesn't. I actually hope that she has left him as is rebuilding hher life. Dom't shoot me lol.

while I support people being who they want to be and loving who they want, the devastation on the other party is real.
my partner was married previously, 5 months into the relationship his ex wife said she was gay. That's fine, whatever. But she made him pay for a wedding in Vegas (including flights for her mum, sister and step dad) while he took no family then told him she only married him because she wanted to say she was married at least once. She destroyed him. We've been together 8 years now and it's taken a lot to build up his confidence. If only she'd told
Him before he actually married her

I listened to Shaye and Amanda's full Mormon Stories podcast, both parts. It was really inciteful and I understand their position a little more now.
also Amanda used she/her a couple times for Shaye.

I wish them both happiness!

Skylar has his own Facebook page “Skylar Shae Scott” where he did a grand reveal of his new tattoo and is making funny vids.
I personally find it better and more entertaining than his five to live account, where Jamie is boring and the little kids beyond annoying. I think he will roll it out across the other platforms.

The whole family vlogging account thing is ridiculous given that they are divorced now - got to keep on using the kids for income though. I assume both Skylar and Jamie have regular type jobs now in any case because there is no way two vlogs a week supports two households.

It is interesting where their money comes from. Skylar seemed to have his own business as a house valuer prior to having the quints so you would assume he could just fire that back up, but Jamie doesn’t seem qualified to do anything or have a whole lot of work history. Seems like she was a Mormon mum planning on making that her job for life.

I think Skylars social media could do quite well solo. He is likeable and the whole ex-Mormon thing is interesting.

It is odd that so many family vloggers or instagrammers feel they are all respectful and enlightened because they always say “if the kids don’t ever want to do it, we respect that”. So basically it’s an “opt in” unless you can voice you want to “opt out”. Which is not how consent in the broad sense works!!!!!
I do feel in the future some of these kids will have solid legal cases against their parents for violating and taking advantage of their inability to consent.

I think that he could do okay with a channel of his own as well (but definitely not focused on the quints). I noticed in a vlog recently that he said that if they ever decided that they didn't want to be filmed then he'd stop vlogging them, but that is ridiculous given their ages. They have been used since before their birth for the family's income. I kind of get it for a period of time that the vlogging income allowed them both to be stay at home parents (but they never parented with just the two of them in any case). It's time that they put a stop to it - when I did consistently watch them a couple of years ago there were a number of times when Vivi particularly obviously didn't want to be filmed - they never respected that.

He's got a video out today explaining both he and Jamie have to move.

He was Live and someone in comments said " why divorce? Who cheated" which I thought was incredibly rude, but he answered. No one cheated. They were married 18 years and could no longer make it work.

Yes I just saw it. I think he is really genuine and honest. He said he had been through a faith crisis and was no longer Mormon as well.

I watched it as well. I did pick up that he talked about mental health issues as a contributing factor though - I wonder if it was Jamie's or his? Neither of them seem to be working outside out youtube which is ridiculous (He talked about youtube allowing them both to be stay at home parents). I actually think that he would do quite well just doing his own social media stuff. He's more 'likeable' than Jamie on social media and whilst I used to find him quite hyper and all over the place at times which made him hard to watch, he seems to have calmed down a bit? I know that he has started his own stuff, but he is still currently persisting with the fivetwolove stuff as well. It's time to give it up, and to stop using the quints for income.

I really like him and find him really genuine and usually hilarious. How disgustingly creepy are the viewers that demand “less of you talking and more just of the quints” whenever either he or Jamie try and make it the blog about something else besides the quints. That would freak me the hell out - like they have viewers with a creepy quint fetish and they’re handing them up on a platter - vomit.
Good on him for trying to change the focus to a more general channel. I think he would do really well solo.

Shouldn't any obsession with the quints freak them out though? I really disagree with parents using their kids for income, but I can actually see why they did it initially because it enabled them both to be home with 5 babies. They should use the divorce as the ideal point to decide that they are done with it - the older the quints get, the longer they are being used for income, and the more likely they are to have problems about how they think about it when they are older. I do quite like Skylar, but him saying that when the quints decide that they don't want to be filmed they'll stop filming them. That's BS. How many years will it be before they really understand that their lives have been put on the internet for their parents to earn money and everything that that entails?

I actually took Skylar saying he could work at home meant he was also continuing in his job in some capacity he was doing pre quints (home valuations, if I remember correctly, he had his own business).

I think he is very likeable and will do well. I would be interested to hear more about the faith crisis and leaving the church.

I figured he had left the church. Interesting she said in her newest vlog he has the kids on the weekend and she goes to church and rests.
I wonder if the kids don’t go now? Or only on her weekends?
