Their new counter is in an amazing place, it’s a shopping centre close to me and there’s a uni and a college close by. They’ll do really well there for sure!
Millie’s cookies didn’t do well in that spot and with the produce on the market below, I don’t think it’s as much of a winner as they think. Especially with there prices

I reckon they’ll close their high street store now they’re in the mall

I’ve got to admit I wouldn’t have gone to Millie’s cookies but if I was passing, I’d maybe be tempted to get something for the sake 🤣

I don't think they'll do that well in blackburn, they will probably for the first 6 months then it'll die down when everyone has tried them and realise they're over priced cheap bakes

They won’t, I bet they will be on a short term contract with the mall see how it goes and then go from there they would be stupid to close the great harwood shop, especially how they own it, and have the flats above ect 🙈😂

Did they ever rent out the flats? I bet they are noisy during work hours

I think their new Blackburn shop will do well as the footfall in the mall is massive in comparison to great harwood. I go past their great harwood shop most days, and it’s always dead. Gone are the days people used to queue down the street. I don’t know how their pricing will work though seen as their stuff is more expensive in their Manchester one? And considering their other shop is only a 10/15 min drive away would people willingly pay more?

She’s still got her bridal mua page but I’m not surprised she’s deleted her insta, she’s probably read what we said and as much as there’s truth in it.. I hope she’s ok too

Picked some finch b up from the Manchester one.

The cookie was mediocre. The blondie is shocking if your local to Barrowford Blondie Brownoe hands down beat these by a mile cheaper and tastier.

The old school card is crumbly and well bog standard nothing special.

The girls literally survive on social media hype

Blackburn centre is a ghost town, on its busier footfall days its pensioners, scrotes and skint students largely making up the crowds. Not the types you’d expect to regularly shell out £££ on takeaway cake.
There’s a Krispy Kreme unit just round the corner too. And they do things like cater for vegan and have lots of deals & freebies on the app.

What is it with these baking influencers trying to flog baking recipes?? Ffs the hero sponge! If you’re that hard up you can’t bake a cake you’re not going to spend £6:50 for the recipe!
And is that counter on wheels the new shop taking over Millie’s cookies? One look at it and I’d assume they’d got a 1 star rating…..

Reshmi is actually one of the nicest people, she’s answered my dms and helped me out with her recipes. She’s not an influencer and actually hates them 😂 I’ve been using her hero sponge recipe for a while for so many cakes which is already available for free on her blog but I still bought them. You don’t have to buy it if you don’t want to but it’s fair for her to charge if she wants!

£6.50 for a recipe is ridiculous. By the time you’ve also bought the ingredients, spent time baking and paid the stupid high price for your electricity/gas to cook the damn thing, you’d be better buying one at the shop.

I didn’t think so. It’s a recipe that’s already paid for itself in the savings it’s made me on ingredients. I’ve got lots of baking books, including the Finch that I haven’t even used, and the Jane patisserie one where I’ve made one cake from. Ive actually made hero sponge I don’t know how many times. So for me it was worth it and I like her content.
