Oh your poor girl! Kids these days have pressures that didn't seem to exist when we were their age. Or it feels like that anyways. I'm happy she's getting help. Therapy, when provided by someone that clicks with the patient, is invaluable. Anxiety and even OCD seems to be far more common these days in younger adults, and I can understand why. They have much to contend with. It must be terribly difficult for you. Parenting is so hard!! Ugh.

I tell myself we're lucky because both our girls are very responsible with their schooling, but sometimes I wish they'd be a little bit less extreme. They put themselves under extreme pressure to do everything perfectly. The times I've seen them rewriting something to make it just so, the perfectionism, concerns me. Life is sure to throw its curve balls and I worry about how they will cope since they lose their minds when they don't get perfect scores on one test.

The one that is graduating high-school has decided to start university within 1 week of graduating from high school. She applied for early placement without discussing it with us first. I'm a bit alarmed at the rush, although I understand and am trying to be supportive. I'm certain the pressure of uni will be far greater than anything she's known before.

Sending you and your girl hugs.❤
Loved your post. Congrats to your daughter on her uni placement and every success to her - it’s very exciting although I understand your reservations. Please, please keep us posted. I will be so interested to hear of her progress. ❤

Oh I’m glad to have found this, I’m starting my journey, so far I’ve decluttered, keeping loo seats down, cleared hallway & windows. We’ve repainted downstairs to freshen up & im just doing my office painting white. Ive got money toads x2 in brass & some rose quartz I had already as I enjoy crystals. Long way to go but any tips much appreciated. We really want to move in the next year closer to school catchment, I’ve just paid to step up a qualification for my career and feel motivated to sort our lives out. Is a vision board on Pinterest enough or does really need to be visual on paper? X thank you

Am I correct on thinking that a money toad should be facing your front door?
Now we only use our front door for deliveries, we never use it to leave/enter the house.
Therefore should the money toad be placed by the doors we use to leave/enter our home?
Thank you.

PS When you turn the money toad around at weekends to give him a break, should he face the wall and do you keep the coin in place or remove it? Thank you.

If it were me, I would say a quiet thank you every day for finding you the perfect house that is nearer to the school catchment. Try driving around the area and look to see what houses are available so you can picture in your mind the perfect house for you. Whatever works for you in terms of a vision board. We aren't all paper, glue and scissors people, some might prefer an electronic vision board that they can look at on their phone maybe? ✂

Your money toad ideally needs to be facing the stairs I think @Oops... said, and at pocket level. Mine is by my front door, but that is the main door we use to leave and enter the house by. I do have two front doors as there is a porch and because we have house cats it's a rare day that both doors are open at the same time (Its the gas man I have to watch when he comes to service the boiler, he treats the house as if he were in a barn!). On our toad's day off I turn him to face into the wall. You can also place a toad in your wealth corner in your house or in a room, say your sitting room.

Thanks.
My stairs are in the dining room.
There is also a door at the bottom of the stairs so they are not “open” if that makes any difference?
I’ve idea where the wealth corner is!
Also our house isn’t square - the main two storey part is but then we have a long, single storey part going off the main house. I’m not sure if this would be classed as an extension or if it means we have some Feng Shui areas missing.

@Oops... shared this early on in the thread. If you imagine yourself stood in the front doorway to your house and were holding this diagram in your hands, then you can see where your wealth corner is for instance. You can take this on a room by room basis, so each room has these elements, so again stand in the doorway of each room and look at the diagram. There are other ideas shared on this thread, no bathrooms over front doorways for instance. This is the diagram

I have silly question about the money toad. I see he does not work on the weekends and I have to turn him. I offten travel for work (in normal times), should I turn him when I leave, as I won't be home to turn him on the weekend?

An update on the money toad and vision boards. They do work! I finally have my dream job which I will be starting in June. Hopefully I will find a place to live that is better feng shui than what I live in currently. I am so overjoyed. Thank you for all of your lovely advices. I am very grateful! 💕

If one of the items on vision board comes true, do you replace it with something new or leave it?
I started a vision board on Pinterest last night and meditated/visualized it all while listening to music! Hoping it’s as good as a physical vision board 🤞🏼
I must say it felt so relaxing putting it together, one of the few apps I can use without feeling anxiety or comparing myself to other people 😂
I was feeling really low last week everything was getting to me, anyone else feel the same? Is there a planet in retrograde or something?🪐

Mine is on my laptop on a word document. I just googled pictures I wanted and pasted them onto the document. I made sure to open it and look at it at least once a day. But that's a great idea to put on music while creating it.

I was feeling extremely low last week too. And low in general for entire 2020. It was a not so great year, but I am doing my best to learn from it and move on to create a better version of myself. But I believe things will get better. 💕 Reading this thread and learning about all these different techniques to rid of all the negative energy definitely helped me.

That’s a great idea! never thought of a word doc 😁
Me too, I’ve never felt so low as I did since lockdown and I’m generally a positive person. I was working and traveling before covid and I’m finding it hard to adapt to being home full time but I try to think that every thing happens for a reason and maybe needed a break to go spend time with my family and take time out ❤
This definitely is a very useful and positive thread I’m so grateful I found it 😇

You could save your vision board as a screen saver or background so you'd see it every day as you switched on your laptop x

Just give him time off, doesn't have to be a full weekend or even a weekend, give him a day off in the week. Give him time off that suits your schedule. It should feel easy for you and not a worry that you're doing it wrong x

I'm so excited for the arrival of my toad today! So am I correct in placing him on the 2nd/3rd step of the stairs facing towards the house and not towards the front door?

And to turn him towards the wall at the weekends to give him a break?

OOOhhhh this is ALL so fascinating to me and something I'd never really thought about before coming across it on the Lydia thread! I'm half chinese and feel like this is definitely something I am missing in my life! We're just about to extend and renovate our house and something I definitely want to get right. Already ordered the lucky frog/toad and am loving all the tips in this thread so far!

Is there a book you can recommend that covers the basic principles well? I've had a look on amazon but they all sound very similar and without any knowledge of it all I dont really know which ones to go for/trust. Thank you!
What is the Lydia thread please?

When you say facing towards the house, you do mean in the house don't you? I would keep him indoors in case he goes walkies on your front steps (if you have them). Other than that, yes position him in the house at pocket level, facing away from the front door. Every so often give him some time off, a weekend, or a day, whatever suits you best.

Thanks I'll do a search 👍
I don't know if this link will work, we are on thread number 76 or thereabouts! https://tattle.life/search/16205159/?q=lydia+millen+threads&o=date

Yes I mean in the house.
Thanks for the link!

Hi All,
I’d like some advice please.
I’m not sure if I’m missing a corner in my home (wealth! 😬) or if my top right corner (love and marriage would be classed as extended.

Rough ground floor plan below...

25495C66-C915-4DA0-A5D0-BE2866F9E9F0.jpeg

Excuse the messy plan but we’re renovating so I had to alter it from the original plan.
Green = sitting room
Blue = utility area and lobby
Purple = kitchen
Red = dining room
Cream = lounge

House is about 200 years old.
The main square - lounge and dining room has a second floor with bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs.
The front door opens into the lounge (bottom left) so we only use it for deliveries.
The long rectangle going off the dining room, containing the kitchen, lobby, utility, shower room and sitting room is single storey only and, although original to the house, we believe they may once have been outbuildings before being converted many years ago.

So would you class my home as missing an area or as having an extended area?
Obviously the cures differ depending on the answer.
Many thanks.

I think @Oops... would be better placed to answer your question than I would. I have looked online and you can try to make it a full square/rectangle by extending out into the garden, by that I don't mean actually extending, just by placing things outside that would complete the 'picture'.
This webpage looks to be very useful, I think I am going to use the instructions here and draw a scale drawing of my home and plot my areas.

In reply to question about irregular shaped houses - I just know that I have an L shape at the back of my double fronted house. My FSM told me to fill in the gaps to make it a regular shape so I had a left hand side to the rear of my house. I created this by making a covered terrace thus replacing the ‘rooms’ that were missing.to make it a regular shape. In addition I put large mirrors on my lower garden walls. I think I may have mentioned this in earlier posts. Hope this helps 💛

I was told by my FSM to have him facing front door and yes to give him weekends off by turning him round (also 4 weeks holiday a year!) I was told to place him at pocket height.

Maybe take him with you when you travel? He will work wherever you are as he’s working for you x 💛

When it comes true you thank it and then maybe leave it until you have to cover it/overlap it with something else. I sense that leaving it there for a while will power up/activate the other items on your board. I love the power of your focus btw! SO happy to hear your good news! YASSS! 💛 So now is an excellent time to focus on your new home. Let’s see how long that takes you to materialise it.💛

Wow! That all sounds so amazing. Well done! Whatever works best for you is great vis your VB. You can have both if you want - a Pinterest one and a physical one. I love the idea of having one as a screensaver too so you see it every time you open up. If you want to move have pictures of houses you like the look of in the centre of your VB. Having a grey front door may help you in the meantime and create a red manifesting notebook for yourself. In this you can write down anything (however whimsical) you like the sound of. This is a great book to then read on NYE. 💛

He should face the stair riser so his tail is facing outwards. He should face the main door you regularly use I think but am not totally sure what a FSM would say. Y9oumight want to try a tortoise?turtle for your rear garden facing in towards your back door (living outside made of stone - you can buy from garden centere). 💛

I was looking for money toads online, but to be honest I couldn't choose. Does anyone know a smaller cute one?
I got a glass one etched in gold from ebay If that helps 💛
