Have you had a panel (of bloods) done? If not, it might be worthwhile doing to understand if you're lacking in anything.

For menopause, I'm finding collagen and spirulina very helpful. I take both in powder form - the collagen is chocolate flavoured so I make a smoothie with banana and oat, soy or lactose-free milk, put a couple of tablespoons of the collagen in, and then a teaspoon of the spirulina. The colour is something else but the flavour is palatable. I find this concoction helps with my memory issues and I apparently look well-rested (even though I'm not). It was working well for joint pain too but today has been particularly cold in my part of the world and the arthritis has taken over.

I think I may have responded to you in the saging thread ... one of the keys for abundance is a clear, clean, space ... wealth and abundance is attracted to cleanliness. Declutter and minimalise as much as you're able to which will also give you a psychological shift. I personally believe stagnant energy attracts itself to old papers - books, magazines, bills, etc. If you must keep all that stuff, put it in folders in a box. Otherwise, take a photo to remember it by and get rid of it. Then start looking to what crystals and other tools can be of help. As a starting point, get a couple of money trees / jade plants and pot them in green ceramic pots either just outside, or inside, your front door. If you can't find jade plants, bay leaf plants also work well. And, if you can, paint your front door either red or green. I would tend to go to red as a signal to the universe that you want to welcome the money in; but I have heard others benefit greatly from green as a way of inviting new opportunities. Do what feels right to you.
Great points. I hadn’t known much, if anything, about Feng Shui before this thread - but the psychological effects of decluttering is amazing. I intermittently declutter and it is so freeing. My front door is black which we have discussed here is good and am always grateful for advice to keep on top of draining energy.

I feel I have to find a place to fit. I don't believe in the spiritual side of Feng Shui, but it surely is aesthetically pleasing and also in a way comforting. Like the thing with the bed opposite to the door. In my new place I am able to have the bed positioned not directly opposite of a door, and it's so much nicer and feels better.
Are you returning to Lydiot's thread ?

Can I bring my question across? One teen sleeping in bedroom above kitchen and other teen attic conversion sloping ceiling? All other items on the checklist ok - are these serious problems?
I am not sure about the kitchen but the attic, try to see if you can place the head of the bed at the highest part of the ceiling.

Edit: i didn't see the response in the other thread.
Is her bed above the cooker? Try and move the bed if you can if it is. If its above the cooker and it can’t be moved place a round mirror face down under the bed (I would do that anyway even if it isn‘t over cooker TBH ) and this sends the fire energy back down to the kitchen below. I wouldn’t worry too much if you have a young teen in the attic but might have to do a few tweaks as she grows older. If you have beams in an A shape room you can hang 3 pink tassels off the beams (I did that in one of my rooms as instructed by FSM - well he told me red but I chose deep pink and he let me keep them). A sensible thing to do is to let your girl over the kitchen sleep in your bed for 2 weeks to see if you notice any difference. (If you have a spare room let her try it in there for a while). If someone is ill in your family changing their bedroom can have a profound effect vis improvements)
ALL the credits to @Oops... I just copy and paste so it's all collected on here 😁

My advice as always is start small and when it works keep going...naysayers will always try to rain on parades - your Feng Shui journey is for you. I’ve never found it hard work but I have found it fascinating. It’s great fun to discuss too. :m

Gosh, I’ve just had a re read of this thread after I keep meaning to sit down for so long and properly read it because when I come on here I like to really concentrate and take in everything that is being said and shared.

@Oops... I’m not sure if you remember, when I shared my bagua map I did of my house to check if I had done it right. The spare bedroom you mentioned would be a lovely room for another child.. will (fingers crossed all being well!) be filled with another child towards the end of the year 🥰🥰 when I was looking at it the other day (the room) thinking about it’s future your comment sprung to mind. It made me smile and made me remember to sit down and go through this lovely thread again. It really does have the best energy ❤

@50sGirl i know you found me on the pregnancy thread - I have been catching up on here and saw your posts about your dad, and I hope this doesn’t upset you for me to comment, but I just want to say what a lucky pair of souls you and your dad were. He was very blessed to have such a kind hearted and loving daughter and I am sure he is so proud of you, and the way you keep his memory alive. Sending you love, and waves of healing hugs xx
Bless you. Thank you. I didn’t want to tell you I’d lost my Dad on that thread because it seemed inappropriate. We were very lucky to have the relationship we did. 🥰

put 3 coins on red ribbon under our front door mat and many job offers (consultancy work) has come about.

we desperately need to sell an apartment in a different country. It’s been on the market a while. We can’t visit due to covid restrictions. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
I’ve been doing some research on house selling. I read that you should draw a picture of the house, write “sold” on it and the price you want to sell it for and place it under the front door mat. That way you are setting your intentions to all those who cross the threshold. I’m going to try it because it is out of sight to prospective buyers.
Could you do that because it’s easy to post and then ask someone to place it there?
I also read that you should place any “for sale”” sign to the right side of the front door as you look at the property from the outside,
I’m also going to place a money toad by the front door, facing inwards.
I‘ve read conflicting views re the coins under the door mat - some say it is negative because you are walking over it.
What do you all think?

I think you should. You have to be in to win. Don't go crazy - even a minimum spend puts you in with a chance.

Feng Shui definitely works in tune with lotteries. A lot of practitioners will fold their lottery ticket(s) in half and insert their Feng Shui gold coins in the fold to encourage a windfall, or otherwise place their ticket(s) under their money frog or - even better - their Pi Yao ornament.

I used to visit a very lucky lottery store in the middle of nowhere that had a huge large laughing Buddha statue on its counter; there were many urban myths that rubbing one's ticket on his belly would encourage a lottery win. I will say that it definitely worked for me. I'm not rich, but that method did send a few wins my way -- not every time I did it, just occasionally.
I bought a ticket! Even before I read your lovely post - thank you so much for the affirming thoughts.

Yes, I also read that a lot of lottery shops adhere to Feng Shui principles.

I also tidied up the side board in my wealth and fame corners.
I moved some of the clutter to other parts of the flat of course, but hope that I will have managed to clear it all by the end of the weekend.
I also have some old and spare magazines and I will use those to produce a vision board according to Feng Shui principles - I have a vision board on my iPad but it cannot hurt to have another one.

I really hope to bring peace and stability in my life and think that doing this might help me to accomplish that.

YAY! It’s CLEARLY working - you have had the overspill effect already! That’s brilliant news 💛 I need to work harder on my frequency - I know that but the clapping has really highlighted that to me. So maybe when you are conscious of it you can start to do something about it. Great result - sounds like you are steaming ahead what with this and your money toad and of course the ‘little soul‘ who sounds so perfect!! You got him at EXACTLY the right time!:m🐶
I know this might be a silly question but how do you increase frequency? Is it more focus?

when I did my clapping, it felt amazing. I felt at ease for the entire day, which is something I haven't felt in a very long time.

Its so interesting that you say you hate the feeling with your back to the door. THIS is a perfect example of you knowing the energy isn‘t right for you. If you can you should face into a room when at your desk. So two things - are you above to re-jig your wfh office to enable this and can you ask to change your desk at work or sit facing the other way? Try it out for 2 weeks at home and just see if the energy feels better for you. :m
Moving my home desk is easily done, so will try that and see if I feel the difference. I read your later post re the desk plants. I currently have a little cacti on my desk  so I shall move that and find something more suitable to put in its place. x

Brilliant! Thank you. You seem to have intuitively got a great deal right! The reason I specifically asked about your neighbours before commenting was because I wasn’t sure that you liked your house or not. I am really happy to hear you do and so you have a great start! As far as the neighbours go it’s interesting that there is repetitive energy seemingly hanging there isn’t it?

I was going to suggest you got a black front door but you already have one :D . Tick
If there is a bedroom on the middle right upstairs that would be the perfect place for a new baby.
Just to be clear its not wrong to use the bagua floor by floor but it simplifies it to do placements room by room.
Your mothers health might improve if she clears her house and pays special attention to the middle of her house area. She may well benefit by joining us on the Clap For Great Energy Day. In the meantime ask her if she could have a big sort out getting rid of things she doesn’t love or use. This includes any crockery that may be chipped or any door handles that may be broken etc - anything is broken if she could try and get it repaired maybe it would be good to do so. I’m going to have a longer think about your mother and will get back to you on that. Just to ask first - did she get a big shock before she started with her thyroid issues?
You have some great positioning with your layout especially in your kitchen. If you want to make tweaks you can work on your SE and SW areas of your sitting room and put a rose quartz in the centre in front of your fire (assuming the oblong shape you drew in is a fire) and that there might be a table centrally. In addition you may want to put 2 small rose quartz together in SE of your bedroom along with any happy photo of you and your partner.
I love the idea that you don’t want to change anything but want to understand it. That’s so good. Tick, :m
amazing, thank you so much, How funny about the front door being black!

I will look to get some rose quartz and dot them around the house. The oblong is a chimney breast so faux fireplace but we have some wood logs where we can place some rose quartz. interestingly I have loved reading about crystals many years ago and the rose quartz has always been my favourite. We actually only have one bedroom to the right that you mentioned which is one we have always said would be for a second child so I love that you mention that!

I do find it really interesting about our neighbours. It seems very dejavu!

as for my mother, thank you for your thoughts. I don’t think there was a shock, but it started slowly at the start of the pandemic and peeked in the summer. Her respiratory issues got worse as when they moved to their house, they had a lot of work done and the dust triggered many of them. Years later it seems the same though the work is all finished!
interestingly, my mother is a hoarder! I will encourage her to have a clear out and look at the centre of her house which is between a downstairs bathroom and her dining area. She is also someone who seems very - how can I put, hypochondriac and seems to always feel unwell than well. I think this is mentally more than anything so looking forward to presenting these ideas.
another thing worth mentioning is after they bought the house the woman they bought it off mentioned her husband had died there. They have had many interesting situations (doors closing/electrics breaking) previously although my dad did have a conversation asking any spirits to leave them alone and it has since settled. certainly a lot to get though isn’t it!

I came across a Marie Diamond video and she was talking about vision board. Do any of you do vision board? If so, can you share some of your experience with it?
I get lost with an electronic one, but a physical one not so much. When my marriage broke down I created one to help pull me out of the deep seemingly endless hole I found myself in. (I had to literally claw my way back up to the surface, and my confidence is still not what it used to be.) I didn't think too heavily about it, chose images that spoke to me and stuck them on to a sheet of A3 paper. I kept it visible stuck to the fridge and so saw it every time I got something from the fridge. Quite a few things on my board actually came to fruition without me consciously thinking of them. We moved and I packed the board up and failed to stick it up at our new home. When I found it and looked it over so many things had happened, not in the exact same way but similar. This lady has a free download you can access, she is a decent person and I know someone who actually works alongside her in the US. https://christinekane.com/yours-for-free-the-complete-guide-to-vision-boards-and-other-gifts-too/ There is a psychology of vision boards, if that is the correct term, I will see if I can find it, ie areas much like feng shui have attributes.

I've also found this, don't know anything about this website. https://www.cleverism.com/vision-board-guide/

Oh I’m glad to have found this, I’m starting my journey, so far I’ve decluttered, keeping loo seats down, cleared hallway & windows. We’ve repainted downstairs to freshen up & im just doing my office painting white. Ive got money toads x2 in brass & some rose quartz I had already as I enjoy crystals. Long way to go but any tips much appreciated. We really want to move in the next year closer to school catchment, I’ve just paid to step up a qualification for my career and feel motivated to sort our lives out. Is a vision board on Pinterest enough or does really need to be visual on paper? X thank you
If it were me, I would say a quiet thank you every day for finding you the perfect house that is nearer to the school catchment. Try driving around the area and look to see what houses are available so you can picture in your mind the perfect house for you. Whatever works for you in terms of a vision board. We aren't all paper, glue and scissors people, some might prefer an electronic vision board that they can look at on their phone maybe? ✂

Am I correct on thinking that a money toad should be facing your front door?
Now we only use our front door for deliveries, we never use it to leave/enter the house.
Therefore should the money toad be placed by the doors we use to leave/enter our home?
Thank you.

PS When you turn the money toad around at weekends to give him a break, should he face the wall and do you keep the coin in place or remove it? Thank you.
Your money toad ideally needs to be facing the stairs I think @Oops... said, and at pocket level. Mine is by my front door, but that is the main door we use to leave and enter the house by. I do have two front doors as there is a porch and because we have house cats it's a rare day that both doors are open at the same time (Its the gas man I have to watch when he comes to service the boiler, he treats the house as if he were in a barn!). On our toad's day off I turn him to face into the wall. You can also place a toad in your wealth corner in your house or in a room, say your sitting room.

The coins had holes in and the red ribbon threaded through and were to attract success and to ensure income from success. Red and grey are good colours for business. We went paperless some years ago and up until then they had the coins on their order books and the invoicing files too. In addition, I ensured all of them had their backs to the wall when sitting at their desks (to eliminate back-stabbing) and they all had money plants on their desks too to attract income. I was told by FSM to have a grey desk of a specific size (cant remember the measurements now but it was a large desk) and so I got a carpenter to make it for me and spray it light grey. Latterly, I put seaside paintings up on the walls (to make it feel like they were on holiday as imagery of moving water and fish is auspicious) and draped fishing nets and sea shells over the one beam in the office. I have been so blessed with such wonderful staff and the office was always a very happy place and everyone got on SO well and did very well in their careers. Also, no-one ever resigned or bickered. They are all extremely loyal and very supportive. Anyone who visited the offices commented on how calm it felt even though everyone was so busy. I couldn’t quite ensure that the men put the loo seat down!! I did put a funny poem over the men’s loos to remind/beg them to though..! Naturally they all work from home now so that has all become a little fragmented which is a little upsetting but it keeps them safe. The odd thing is that all of them are equally happy working from home and have remained fiercely loyal.
Thank you, this is wonderful! I must look into the coins and red ribbon. I remember I told you long ago that my father was an avid sailor and you kindly remembered and paid a lovely tribute to him in Fur Babies. He was also an architect and, was, in fact, President of RIAI at one point. I was brought up in a Georgian house, constructed around 1838, and it was a very beautiful home. His pride and joy, however, was the holiday home he designed in West Cork. It was magical - the views of the sea were stunning and the design was impressive. Lots of windows and light and quiet ahead of it’s time.

When he died, the upkeep and maintenance on the Georgian home was relentless and my poor mother really struggled with being on her own. I would get phone calls daily about one thing or another requiring attention. I know it sounds selfish, but the phone calls were draining and I found myself resenting the house as well as my mum. I was the only family member nearby and my husband worked abroad Monday to Friday.

It’s interesting, though, because my younger sister, on returning home from Australia and later Paris, bought a Georgian house with her partner. Somewhere in my subconscious, I must have favoured the holiday home because when we bought our current house, even though it is in the city, emulates the interior of that house. It looks innocuous from the outside but is full of light and space on entry. I try to not fill spaces - I like restraint. I have a little thing for corners - I love to put some feature there but in proportion. Anyway, I digress. I suppose I just wanted to give you some background and explain that weird resentment that I feel guilty about and that it so influenced my own house choice.

Getting back on topic, I have lots of artwork of boats and sailing and I find them so calming so I’m delighted that they are also beneficial to the energy that surrounds us. The two work desks are also backed up against the wall, so that’s good. As regards the loo seat, my husband is the world’s worst. I cannot get him to comply no matter what. 😡

Thanks, @Oops, and lovely to get the opportunity to share here.

I’m delighted that you recommended The Spruce. I was googling the money toad when we first opened this thread and came across it and I similarly found it to be a very calming, informative, well-laid out website.

I was wondering, @Oops, if I can get my girls to do the energy clapping and smudging in their rooms or if it ideally should be the same person throughout.

I can do either of the times mentioned so await your confirmation.

*****POSITIVITY****

You asked earlier if it was a possibility I could move. Well, as said my life went into serious turmoil after escaping my 2nd husband. I ran 250 miles away from domestic violence. I was stabbed, tortured in a Marsh land and held over a quarry infront of my children. I don't want to spoil the positivity with my past but I just wanted to give you a small insight of just why I'm so grateful!!!! An exchange felt like an impossibility to me until today, as after ending up a drug addict my arrears ended up over £2000, I was so scatty and didn't realise until I got my life back into order last year. But I'm in so much other debt... I was struggling to pay everything off. And decorate and carpet this house, it still isn't all floored. I checked on my arrears today, because the amount has always scared me, depressed me.

I thought it would still be at least £900, it was £36 in arrears!!! Oh my. I can exchange now! Because I'm in a rock and a hard place. My children either want me to move 300 miles where they are with my first ex mother in law or... they are allowed to come home if I do move!! As my children have stated they don't want to come back to this particular house and would need their own rooms because of what they have suffered they need their own space.

I thought it would take another 2 years to pay off! I thought of this thread straight away! I can be reunited with my older children. My baby boy with his older brothers much sooner.

There is a whole weight gone. 🥰 thankyou all my love.

The lady trying for a baby... I've sent lots of hope to you. When I did, I just pictured a little baby boy. You will be a mum soon! ❤
That sounds like an amazing start! I think you definitely need to get away from where you are and that maybe you should place your intention on finding the perfect place for you. You may well be extremely shocked at how quickly this will now insinuate itself into your life. It will be so much better if you can get rid of the loo over the front door environment which will scupper you over and over again. In the meantime try the other things that may help you vis light and windows pro-tem. (It might be a good time for you to do the lottery too since something has clearly been activated in your finance area.) This along with a massive sort out and Spring clean will bring in more clarity and good solutions. Its really quite amazing how things change so quickly when you start moving in the right direction. Its when you ‘click’ in to the right vibe that things start to change. I think you made a good choice joining this thread since already you have experienced quite an improvement. Keep letting us now how things will now start moving (energising). Healing is a wonderful thing...sounds like you have made giant strides...keep it going...

I wonder if your employer might consider you going back to the office on a part-time basis, maybe three days a week and working at home for two days? That might be a compromise you could manage? If the commute is a pain, could you car share, although you say London, so maybe the commute is via train or bus? I hate commuting of any kind, we had our own business for a long time and I worked from home, it suited me plus being a parent meant school holidays, inset days, before and after school were all catered for.
Well I found myself getting a little befuddled over that! If they have acknowledged your productivity has gone up why would they want to make unnecessary waves? It sounds a little short sighted to me. Do you feel able to write to them saying how much you like your job and that you are aware you work better at home (proven) and that whilst you understand they might wish to reunite the team you are in no way averse to remain working from home. Might you be able to say that you firmly believe it is because you do not have the considerable stress of the commute that you have enjoyed your job so much more? Then you might say that you fully understand if they might not have previously considered this and that you thought you should make them aware of the option you are suggesting in order to keep flourishing in the satisfying way you have. Naturally you will be delighted to return at the appointed time if they think this is something they don’t want to consider. You’ll get a definitive answer which might be the one you hoped for whereas if you don’t ask they maybe won‘t intuit it on your behalf. A nice polite notification like that may make them see you in a really good light and quite possibly reconsider. If all of your company felt similarly you would save the company shed loads of money on the rent they pay for their premises (providing they can assign the lease of course!) Just an idea. All you are doing here is letting them know the commute takes it out of you. Maybe focus on how it would feel to get a yes when you expected a no! I think the Ancient Chinese called this conundrum ‘Overcoming Obstacles’. The perfect solution on the other hand is to picture your perfect job right on your doorstep with a massive pay rise and no office politics to boot. So that might be ‘Drawing the Seemingly Impossible’...Did you change you home office round btw? Maybe read up a little on activating your recognition area in your office and your work area too. This is fairly easy to do with object placements and setting intention as you place them.

I’m intrigued to know how this pans out for you! :m

I don’t think there is ever a right or a wrong time to do energy clearing since the best time to do it is when It feels right. So ask yourself when is the next time you would like to do it again and then do it. Its very clear you were very focussed last time or you would not have felt the rush of emotions you did. Hope this helps and dooooo let us know what happens xx
They are rather archaic in their mindset and way of working.. in all aspects. It is the most frustrating thing about where I work. Not too sure why they are against this idea, they always have been. Maybe they are concerned that if one person does it, then they have to allow everyone to and then they'd end up with a large empty office (I work in a building of approx 300 people) but like you mentioned, then there would be no need for them to have such a large building in a prime (very expensive) location.
I think part time working from home could be an option and it is something I have raised and will hopefully be discussed further before it's time to go back.
My commute in is via train, I don't live in London so this is the only option. I don't mind the commute too much really (as long as I get a seat) as I find it's the only time I completely zone out, not look at any screens and not worry about what needs doing etc. It's kind of therapeutic actually.

I did move my office space around! I have slightly less light now as I am away from the window, but I do like it. I moved my cacti to the kitchen, so still need to find a nice new plant for my desk. I also ordered a really lovely print off of Etsy, which I will hang on the wall by me.

I also moved the layout of the bedroom, so my feet are no longer facing the door. I did this on Saturday during my sort out and cleaning ready for our clapping. I'm not sure what it is, but I have slept very badly since. I'm not the best sleeper, but I've been feeling very restless and strange, I can't really describe it. Could it be the shift in energy? Hoping that it will settle soon. xx

Another thing, and @Gertrude referenced this - is that the pandemic has given us a new, unforeseen, normal, whereby we have our own work/life routine from home. I absolutely agree with her with regard to the anxiety of returning to a more tumultuous reality. It is inevitable but it will be hard.

I would love to do the clap for energy every month. I really enjoyed the run up to it as well - a thorough clear out and spring clean, the feeling of everything clean and bright as prep, and wearing something lovely, all contributed.

My lovely money toads arrived! So happy. Still waiting on the rose quartz, though.
It's an odd feeling isn't it. Kind of like the strange feeling before starting a new job. It will all be fine once the time comes, but we've all had so long to think about and build it all up in our heads.

Would love to see a picture of your toad! I finally ordered a glass one, but I think it may be a while before it arrives. I've still not found a rose quartz that 'speaks' to me. Tempted to maybe just wait until the shops are open (hopefully the crystal shops local to me have survived these lockdowns)

I'd also love to do the clap every month! Will remember to wear makeup and something nice for the next one. x

I have missed you 🥰 I just wanted to say a big thank you for all your "poems and daft escapades", they always made me smile. Sending you lots of love and light ❤
