I'm trying to find the clapping instructions, but can't seem to find them in this thread. Can anyone point me to the post? Specifically which corner of each room, or is it all corners of all rooms, speed? Windows and doors open?

Such a fascinating thread. What would the solution to this be if I can't move the bed? I have to have it against the wall so the baby doesn't fall out.
I owe you a huge apology! @whowouldhavethought - I accidentally replied to @happyforest whilst meaning to reply to you and say welcome! I welcomed her instead of you! I am such a twit... So very sorry about that. She will no doubt think it odd that having known her for quite some time I am welcoming her! Maybe I should get my coat.
Anyway, I think the only sensible thing to do is wait a little while until your baby gets a little bigger and then review the bed situation then. I hope you will return soon and WELCOME! 💛

Hello Everyone :)

This thread has very good Feng Shui, it feels very good to be here, don't you think?

Today I wanted to add some Feng Shui elements to the different areas, but I got confused.
Do I apply the Bagua map to the whole flat or to individual rooms?

My Flat is kind of L-shaped.
The entrance door opens to a small hallway and straight ahead is the living room (fairly large) with a balcony.
Right from the entrance door is the kitchen, and then behind that (already after the entrance door) the bathroom and then the bedroom.
Maybe it would be best if I attach a picture?

I am confused if I should treat each room as a separate area with the different corners or if the Bagua map refers to the flat as a whole (in which case some areas seem to be outside the map).
I watched some videos and looked at some websites but couldn't figure it out. It seems that both applies at the same time?

They are rather archaic in their mindset and way of working.. in all aspects. It is the most frustrating thing about where I work. Not too sure why they are against this idea, they always have been. Maybe they are concerned that if one person does it, then they have to allow everyone to and then they'd end up with a large empty office (I work in a building of approx 300 people) but like you mentioned, then there would be no need for them to have such a large building in a prime (very expensive) location.
I think part time working from home could be an option and it is something I have raised and will hopefully be discussed further before it's time to go back.
My commute in is via train, I don't live in London so this is the only option. I don't mind the commute too much really (as long as I get a seat) as I find it's the only time I completely zone out, not look at any screens and not worry about what needs doing etc. It's kind of therapeutic actually.

I did move my office space around! I have slightly less light now as I am away from the window, but I do like it. I moved my cacti to the kitchen, so still need to find a nice new plant for my desk. I also ordered a really lovely print off of Etsy, which I will hang on the wall by me.

I also moved the layout of the bedroom, so my feet are no longer facing the door. I did this on Saturday during my sort out and cleaning ready for our clapping. I'm not sure what it is, but I have slept very badly since. I'm not the best sleeper, but I've been feeling very restless and strange, I can't really describe it. Could it be the shift in energy? Hoping that it will settle soon. xx

It's an odd feeling isn't it. Kind of like the strange feeling before starting a new job. It will all be fine once the time comes, but we've all had so long to think about and build it all up in our heads.

Would love to see a picture of your toad! I finally ordered a glass one, but I think it may be a while before it arrives. I've still not found a rose quartz that 'speaks' to me. Tempted to maybe just wait until the shops are open (hopefully the crystal shops local to me have survived these lockdowns)

I'd also love to do the clap every month! Will remember to wear makeup and something nice for the next one. x

Oh so sorry if I gave the wrong impression you don’t need to wear make up (I just did it cos I haven’t for so long and I had the time to do it but its definitely not a pre-requisite (I got dressed in normal clothes (not gym wear) just to make a change).. I am having a good think about your sleep.I think you might benefit from some sleep focus (I have exactly the same problem). I spoke to a naturopath about it and he said the room should be dark enough so you cannot see your hand if it is held 6 inches away. He told me NOT to have any Tech or TV in the room and he told me to set a bedtime and stick to it. The Tech ban is to do with light since he says the body sees screens as light. Also, there is no electro-magnetic energy bombarding you if you don’t have your phone or iPad in the room. I’m giving this a go at the moment since I am glued to my iPad so I’m finding it hard. However, last night I slept...I got a few hours in before midnight and 5 hours afterwards. UNHEARD of for me...The first night I did it I was awake ALL night though, so its a process I guess. I don’t sense the bed facing a better position is causing it somehow. I will carry on thinking about it and get back to you when I have something that I can find to try to help.💛

Thanks, I’ll take a look.
Unfortunately I can’t put any structures in that area because it’s a driveway.
You can look upon those areas that protrude as extras. So for now take away the part where it extends out, look at your house regarding the Bagua as what remains, then where the protrusion is, then that is extra of wherever it falls. I am even wondering if you could split your home into two dwellings. So the front of the house, treat that as one, then the long oblong at the back as another. So have two wealth areas, two career areas, and so on. You can overlay each room, looking in from the door with the Bagua and have multiple wealth corners, so why not split the home into two? My logic is telling me this is what I would do, although that said I am not a Feng Shui professional.

Poem was quite deep, I wanna say something about emptiness but I could be wrong... not very specific, I know 😂 It is really nice to hear you kept all Fur Babies :) it really shows how much you care :)
Yes...I scroll through the photos people put up often, it’s like a memory test to see if I can remember their names and who they belonged to. I’m so sorry my memory isn’t quite so good on my poems though. I am racking my brains to remember one I wrote on emptiness. If you can ever remember the title do let me know and I will put it up for you. 💛

It's too angle-heavy ... Feng Shui loves curves. I always think of Chi (energy flow) as moving through spaces in waves. In a structure such as that it would hit all the angles and feel frustrated and angry.
Your post made me think of the Bank of China which appeared on the skyline all prismatic and angular and so HSBC bank put two large cannons on their roof to fend of the bad Feng Shui from the angles. I read somewhere that triangular plots of land were not too auspicious too.

Love the idea of undulating energy. I think that’s why so many are drawn to herbaceous borders - they froth over in waves don’t they? :giggle:

Personally, I would gift a money toad, but I don't know if there are any reasons why gifting one would be a bad idea. What I would do though is to wrap the gift in red wrapping paper, red is an auspicious colour. Think of Chinese New Year where the money is gifted in red envelopes.
Thank you!! Her favorite colour is red, so that will make it even more special.

Thank you - you’re so kind.... are you getting rest and looking after yourself? Thinking of you 🙏❤
Thank you for thinking of me @Milking Keynes, I’m so glad I found this little corner of the internet - you are all helping to keep me sane at the moment. ♥

And yes, I am resting like it’s my job ... it’s not like I have a choice because Master Midnight has turned into Nurse Ratched and is making sure I do exactly as I’ve been told - bless his cotton socks! 😉

@Hi there - So sorry for not being clearer I’ll try a hopefully clearer way.

1) I can’t decide what to do.
2) Is it better for me to stay in or is it better for me to go out?
3) I sit and think about this for a long time and because I can’t make a decision so I decide to toss a coin.
4) Heads it’s better for me to stay in.
5) Tails it’s better if I go out
6) I toss the coin
7) It comes down heads - so this means I should stay in.

However if at this stage I then say to myself best of 3 - it shows that really I was hoping it would advise me to go out. So if I toss it two more times I may get the result I wanted. At the point I tossed the coin I was completely focused on the answer I wanted/needed it to be.

So if I need to toss twice more my original answer of stay in wasn’t what I deep down wanted (Or possibly needed).

So if I toss the coin and don’t say best of 3 then that is because I am happy with the call of heads and staying in.

Wanting to toss the coin twice more means I know it’s right to go out. I would not have wanted to toss the coin again if I got the answer I wanted first time.

So the whole point of this is not actually tossing the coin 3 times its knowing that heads wasn’t right for you on the first toss.

I hope this helps make it a little clearer. If not we’ll go again x

I am now wondering if and whether the boxes in the hallway behind the entrance door to my flat created bad Feng Shui and blocked the flow of money into my flat and that this is responsible for the negative outcome of the court case.

I totally blame myself
It’s not good to have blockages no but from what you said the judge wasn’t on your side. So this is an external communication problem rather than a problem stemming from your home. I was wondering if you felt the proceedings felt rushed in any way?

Good Morning Everyone - welcome to Saturday.

This morning I asked my I Ching how I could best help @Hi there. It’s the first time I have used it for quite some time, but since I had actually gone looking for it to put it up here for her to see I then started reading it again. I have decided to put up the response the I Ching gave me when I asked it the question because a) it may resonate with her and b) it may resonate with many others. I say that because it has just really resonated with me when I read it. I think it might be particularly apt for the times we are living in now and yet was originally written when thet didn’t even have printing presses. Anyway; here it is...

To be honest I found this quite moving...In the I Ching the bottom line of the hexagram is the one that matters. I seem to have photographed the bottom 2 but have left it in anyway because maybe the penultimate line may help someone too. (No such thing as coincidence etc...)

So, my bedroom is right above the kitchen, but the bed isn't above the cooker, and there is a huge oak beam that is directly above the bed, right down the centre of where me and my husband sleep! I can't really move the bed and I saw someone mention to have 2 wooden flutes on the beam. Are they literally like musical wooden flutes?

Re crystals and protection:
A few days ago I received a black tourmaline necklace that I’d ordered online. I’m not happy with it, it just doesn’t feel right so I’m sending it back. I’m sure I read somewhere it’s best to choose the crystals yourself if you can so that you choose the right one. Unfortunately I can’t do that so I’ve ordered a couple of different ones online so fingers crossed these feel right.

What has happened to the regular posters - @Oops... and @1001 others to name just two?
I’m missing their knowledge.
Missing @Oops... so much 😐

She was on the vignettes and pets thread but not been seen for a long time.

I’ve ordered a few Feng Shui things today;
Ba Gua mirror for by the front door
Money frog
Buddha
2 protection talismans*

*apparently each Chinese animal has another Chinese animal as its protector.
I’m a Dog and my protector is a Rabbit so I needed to buy Rabbit talismans.
When I looked up my Dad’s Chinese animal, I discovered he was a Rabbit!
My Dad was my protector in more ways than one. ☺
That sounds really interesting. I am off to look now to see what I am and what the protector is. Your Dad sounds lovely x

My heart sang when you described your husband!💛 I just love to hear stuff like that!! You have always described him in the loveliest terms and I love that he’s there with you on your avatar. It always makes me smile (along with the dog-less dog lead...). He’s more on the page than he knows you know ;).

It doesn’t feel right for me to do that at the moment at all but I’m giving it a lot of thought. My energy doesn’t feel right for it any more. However, I’m trying to shift the energy (in me) and trying to think hard how to navigate it. If you do something that doesn’t feel right; on a quantum level you are damaging yourself. I stopped doing that many years ago and saw a massive change for the better. Compromise is always a good thing but when you compromise on your truth it’s completely different. (If that males sense ).

🤗 Hellooooo! So lovely to see you! What was the poem about? I can write it again here for you and put it back up. I am so touched to hear you saved it.! Truly. Don’t tell anyone but I have ALL the cats and dogs from Fur Babies saved on my phone and I look at them often.🐕
Poem was quite deep, I wanna say something about emptiness but I could be wrong... not very specific, I know 😂 It is really nice to hear you kept all Fur Babies :) it really shows how much you care :)
