I recently got a sample of Penhaligons Highgrove Bouquet which is quite a nice and fresh floral. I can't afford Penhaligon's prices at the moment so no chance of getting a full-size.

Started bringing out my summery perfumes, rediscovered my Bronze Goddess which I forgot I had (even though I only got it last year!!!).

I adore it but it just doesn't last unfortunately 😔
Yeah I find Byredo perfumes have no lasting power. I have Gypsy Water and Rose of no Man's Land and after a few hours I can't smell them on me. Not worth £140 or however much they are unless you get a big discount or people are selling them on ebay for cheaper (how I got mine).

Is it just me or do perfumes have no staying power now? I was reminded of poison here recently. Used to wear it loads in the 80s. Thought I'd take a trip down memory lane and had a spray of it in boots and couldn't smell it after a couple of hours. That stuff used to hang around for days LOL 😔

oops i meant to come back!

it did and it is a GREAT dupe (thank you again for mentioning it @Blueblue123) - it has more coconut in it than the sol de janeiro scent but the same level of vanilla and caramel, so you still get that lovely baked cake vibe. it seems very long lasting too. would definitely recommend it :)
eee so happy you like it! Will get some for myself. Thank you @Blueblue123 for recommending it in the first place!!

ooohh ASOS have body wash and candles in the same scent. Can get our whole houses smelling delicious

I layered some scents together after my shower the other day and got 7 compliments in a day (2 from strangers). The combo created a deliciously sweet, cosy and warm scent profile. Perfect for Autumn.

Here's what I used:

Right out of the shower, I put Sol De Janeiro Bum Bum skin tightening cream on my body (awful name lol, but amazing fragrance; pistachio, salted caramel and vanilla). After I towel tried myself, I put Kayali Vanilla 28 perfume (Vanilla, tonka, brown sugar) on my pulse points. When I got dressed, I sprayed some Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Cheirosa '62 body mist (same scent as Bum Bum cream) on my clothes.

I’ve used body sprays as room sprays before and they’ve worked far better than they have as body sprays. Hopefully that will be the case here :)

Today’s perfume is Tiffany and Love by Tiffany and Co. I love this perfume- it was my wedding perfume. My ME is kicking my bum today so I put some on to lift my mood a bit. ❤

I came across hair perfume in Space NK the other day (no idea why I didn’t know this existed) - tried the Byredo Bal D’Afrique on the ends of my hair and I could still smell it the next day, was gorgeous. Debating whether to just get the hair perfume spray as the longevity on that seemed pretty good!
I usually put perfume on my hair which I know I shouldn't but it's not much I put on, that's the only way any perfume actually lasts on me. But getting hair perfume specifically does sound like a good idea! Not that I need to spend any more money on perfume hahah

I’m wearing Ariana grande cloud today original … not. But i love it. We should try and do a scent of the day for everyone to share what they’re wearing each day I think it would be fun!

just here to say that if anyone (like me) likes a nice deep floral scent then primark’s autumn bloom perfume is The One. it’s floral with a bit of blackberry in it and super long lasting.

only £6 too. already bought four bottles in case they discontinue it 🤣🤣

The price of perfumes is shocking. I remember being shocked when it went to over £100 for a big bottle and now its only 90ml and £140. It would be cheaper to treat myself to some heroin ffs.
I mostly buy from discount sites so I agree.

I'd like the option to treat myself to a newly released perfume as and when I please (looks at Prada Paradoxe), but when it's £50-60 for 30ml I have no choice but to wait 6+ months for it to reach Notino, All Beauty etc. Or someone's cast off on ebay.
