I agree. When this came up before in a past thread I was trying to discuss as a normal human thing but so many people here went overboard and wanting to post links, videos etc. , getting almost excited about it. Apparently that happened yesterday again and thankfully I missed it.
Well then stop talking about it.

I use a crockpot  lol. I’m just not up to date on appliances. I’ll get around to it. I love my crockpot though.
Same!! I LOVE my crockpot!! 🥰🥰

I throw the food in before bed and it cooks overnight. Italian Beef, roasts, chili and more...love it! I also love our air fryer. I have not jumped on the instapot train yet! My future sister in law asked if we wanted one for Christmas this past year and we said no. She bought one for herself and her daughter, and they both love them...so it might be in my future, but I can't see myself ever giving up my crockpot anytime soon!

You guys know how the Maa$$' love Tiktok so much? Well I've just thought of something! There's a massive autistic community on tiktok, all you have to do is either search, or find the IG page @actuallyautistictiktoks :)

@paigelayle (both on IG and tiktok) has amazing content!

Maybe A&P could go watch those, since they love being on tiktok so much, and since they don't listen to autistic people anywhere else...oh wait, they probably won't there either..*eye roll*

Not that I'm a medical expert but it kinda looks like they have hypermobility in their finger joints. Maybe it's an underlying condition? Clearly genetic since we can see that Abbie, Isaiah and P have it.
That made me think of Agony Autie (on IG and YT I think) who's autistic and posts cool stuff, she also has Elhors D...EDS..that thingy xD
She talks about it a bit too, maybe that's something to think about for Abbie? DOn't take my word for it, I'm no expert either lol, but search her up and you might see what comes to my mind?) Just a thought :)

I have CRPS too, from a piece of polypropylene mesh put in to lift my bladder neck after baby. Twenty years of ‘it’s all in your head’ pain wise, Immune system down the toilet. Twenty years later, had mesh removed, but we can’t sue J&J, as we have no fault insurance, but finally had my assessments, and my CRPS is covered by the universal insurance, as well as mesh damage/ immune system stress. Compensation from these 🤬$1000 a year
I am so sorry that you are dealing with this wretched disorder also. Mine came after a left knee ACL reconstruction. I went the first 48 hours without pain medicine. They kept telling me my epidural was working and no way I could be still in pain. When the removed the drains, I screamed and passed out from the pain. I was very lucky my orthopedic surgeon had other patients with CRPS. I was diagnosed in December 1990 at 17 years d. If I had a nickel for everyone who said it was in my head, I would be rich. (That includes my parents and high school classmates.) I have been very lucky with PT and therapy. Unfortunately, my knee was injured at my high school summer job. Worker's compensation is refusing most of any treatment. So, I do what I can at home. It sucks.

For those who have never heard of CRPS, here is a video I share frequently. It is one of the best videos to describe CRPS:

I had both knees replaced and bone graft so I can tell you when knees go it hurts.
My knees went to a point where the orthopedic surgeon was surprised I was even able to walk and work. What can I say i have a high pain tolerance, after all I drove myself to ER with kidney stones like an idiot.
So Cilla is either self medicating, has a high pain tolerance or has remarkably strong knees
I have a bad knee and it's starting to show a bit of osteoarthritis and i hate it when the weather is cold
as my knee does not like it at all

No, nothing has changed. I believe we’ve got another new member with wild ideas, this time they are trying too hard to push a narrative now of “they all need counseling.” Yeah, & the sky is blue.
By chance Dr Loomis, is your first name, Daniel?🤣🤣Welcome if you are, as a lot of us have been rooting for Is to go live with you,😗😜🧐 Enquiring minds want to know! Asking for a friend 🥳😷If not, welcome anyway.

Kidney stones🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬...luckily I usually avoid catheters but they tend to go straight for stents. Urologist calls me a stone factory, I blame my parents lol.
Which brings me to the question of, do they even have health insurance? ER for stone was April 25..with insurance paid $250, without would have been alot more, i refused being admitted since hospital was last place I wanted to be with COVID.
I wonder if their just playing Russian roulette
Hi Kermy, fellow ks suffer here, in 2016, got blood poisoning, stent, etc. Then stent removed, kidney stones blasted. 2017, yearly check to see if blasting good, 7 X1 mm bits, L kidney, had stopped drinking ‘pop’, soft drinks, ended up hospital, as body dumping phosphates! Specialist said, rare side effect..... drink Coke (as in coca cola! 2020, scan shows, new stone on L side, 5 on other. Painful

You are right..but it would have been a good thing if they could afford it.
I definitely agree that they should have explored all options for homeschooing Abbie, especially if they felt that public school neglected her. But I also have to be logical....Special Ed in public schools wouldn’t exist if it was just a matter of homeschooling your kids.

Let me know how it is. I want to make it too but we'd have to cut it in half as well.
Its actually pretty good, a popular LC recipe for sure. I do a mexican version and add a small can of tomatos and green chile and eat it over cauliflower rice, and another that I thin it out with heavy cream to make a sauce and add fresh mushrooms and green peppers and also serve it over the rice with dash of paprika.

Yup! You can gain so much weight the way she half asses it. The point is to starve your body of carbs and rely on the fat for fuel. But consuming so much fat and doing it half assedly really, really makes you gain weight. I’ve actually been very much against that diet... I think it’s a nice highway to cholesterol and other problems. I think eating salads as meals and substituting some meals with juice would help her and Ass. Even if they remain inactive. Because they eat so unhealthy now, they would see immediate weight loss... but they love food so much. Sigh. And I’ll say it again... they need to invest in a sauna for that house, that would help them too.
Counting calories and logging my food was the key to my success in losing 90 pounds in 18 months. It’s simple and it worked for me. I eat calories no matter what they are(carbs, fat, protein, etc.) and when I have my allotted calories for the day, I stop. For me, it’s all about pre-planning. Being proactive...and also being active. I know they can make something work for them. They are just not trying or caring.

She forgot to add she works 80 hours a week and is on her phone 24/7, has no time for mothering or house cleaning. And...if they did not have Abby and all the social media crap about Abbie she would have never, ever have gotten this far in that MLM scheme.
Exactly..she makes those sales and gets the recruits directly from FA. My opinion and hunch.

Just something to think about, with the low muscle tone and fingers...
We do not know Abbie’s full diagnoses. Even her Speech Therapist hinted that Autism wasn’t her only dx and we can all agree that at minimum, IDD is there (plus confirmed by AssHat himself)...
There are some children/adults on the Autism Spectrum that have unknown genetic deletions. Meaning, the genetics doctors can see a deletion or issue within the DNA but they have absolutely no idea why it is their or how it effects each person that has this...

Gosh, I am going to get a little more personal right now and if anyone knows me, please do not call me out...
My youngest two kids are twins. Both twins have a genetic deletion on one of their genes. One twin, while struggling with writing, has been able to write. He also can walk and has no issues with standing or doing any activities... The younger twin, has always struggled with basic fine motor skills and gross motor skills. It is a “Tone” issue, as we can build strength but the toning is gone. Yes, his fingers resemble Abbie’s (not bending but the knuckles). He actually was approved and received a wheelchair/stroller because he gets so tired, just from trips to the grocery store. The reason he couldn’t get a Manual or Power chair is because at age 11, he still cannot see people and would run right into them.. We knew his limitations and had to push for that piece of equipment because we knew the others wouldn’t work. This child has also been in PT and OT since he was 12 months old. Finally, at age 10, he was discharged from both, not for lack of progress but because they couldn’t do anything else with him. This child also has issues with potty training and had a regression and we are continually working on retraining..

So, I get this a little bit BUT there is absolutely no way I would take the constant laying down. My child was always told to sit when he just got that tired and his muscles started contracting (which we could literally see in his legs) but we never would have put up with the constant laying on the floor...

Again, this isn’t an “excuse” but we have really no clue, exactly, what the genetics doctors have stated. It very well could be a genetic issue..
Thank you for sharing this.

It seemed like she was already in a bad mood from the cart ride being over and she was just annoyed at all of them. I’m not sure about the people saying he should have pushed it. Everybody here says they should listen to her but when he does then he’s just a pushover and letting her be a brat. I would have done the same thing with my toddler and then tried again 15-20 minutes later. No reason to push somebody that is already in a bad mood over the edge to prove you are the boss.
When she signs "bathroom" they ignore her and ya good and damn well they just don't want to get up. Then he tells her to go...it makes no sense in my head and probably makes no sense in hers either.

Catching up from #652 phartblossom....(trying not to quote the entire post anymore) ....so Ab most certainly grabbed, squeezed, & began digging I think all 4 fingers into his forearm. That’s why Isa. looked at everyone like SPOILED Ab was going “cray-cray.” Hate that term, but you know what I mean. Run Isa run! (when) You can! Summer...you too!
I just watched it again, full screen and we will have to agree to disagree. She grabbed his arm and pushed him in my opinion, I saw no digging or force. But how many times during that cart ride was she tickled, booped and grabbed?

Yes, there are some tasks she can do without prompting which is definitely a good thing. But then Asa... it's like he just can't stop himself.. he needlessly complicates things and as you said confuses her by making her stop in the middle of a task that she is actually doing correctly, makes her re-do it (put the item back and then do it again)... just giving her commands that totally throw her off.

Or like that one time a cpl weeks ago where he made her stop mid task to say thank you. Followed by him saying that it's kinda dumb to teach her thank you because she doesn't understand what it means and it's not a tangible thing that she can actually use. Ugh.
I asked Assa about 2.5 yrs ago why Ab/ or him didn’t say thank you, and he said it was redundant, but after his mother did a live with him, and someone asked again, he started saying thank you, but he is very rude and has no manners, so why teach Abbie? I wonder if Is will go to his grandparents this summer, or just when he goes to start school.

That money P put out for her surgery could be of been used for Abbie and her severe mobility issues! That as a parent would have me just as concerned as her learning!
Yes or at least stick to it so you have a better chance of keeping up with Abbie.
