Do you suppose it was found out that there was lying going on about reaching goals on IEPs?
I dunno what to think.
Something happened to Abbie's time with Brandi getting reduced to 1 day a week and we know it wasn't because Abbie had progressed. Since lockdown, we have heard nothing from her or about her. Not even a FaceTime therapy once a week. You know Assa would film it.
I wonder if therapists in this field are not truthful on these documents just so they can get paid.
As I mentioned before, unless Abbie's goals are things she can actually do, I am bewildered as to how she can meet goals at all.
Just my opinion.

Could be...but if her hours were cut to once per week for lack of progress as we suspect, then it was Brandy who blew the whistle. She isnt connected to JSA's IEP at all, and it became clear after the big YT bucks started rolling in they were not doing therapy regularly. I started noticing it last spring, they would cancel therapy because "Abbie had a hard day" "Abbie is sick" "Nothing wrong with a day off." Then they spent the whole summer last year traveling and moving. They started to pick up again in the new house when everything threw Abbie off....but they werent following through with anything at all. Abbie used to come home, put her shoes away. Empty her backpack and put things were they belonged. They let her use her picture chart and choose chores which she could complete. She put groceries away. Now....nothing. Zip.

I think Brandy threw in the towel. Everything she worked years to accomplish they let unravel and instead of listening to her Asa talks over her.

I commented a couple weeks ago on the “Zucchini bread disaster” video, and just now saw that Cilla had responded. I said “Why would she teach her how to use an oven?” To which she replied “why not?” Really? That’s like teaching a 2 year old how to use the oven. Only thing she should know about the oven and stove is that it’s hot, and not to touch it.

I just watched yesterdays vlog. I swear, Summer is all over Abbie! She hangs on her constantly, lays on her, hold her in the pool. It is so weird and not appropriate at all.

Her neck and back is painful to look at in that pic. I would think physical therapy would be a priority for her.. and the violent rocking.. there is nothing to protect her neck and I can't even imagine how her spine is. I dont recall if she was like this as a young child.

When she does her rocking her head comes forward in an unnatural way.. almost like a chicken moves their head forward.

I have read that kyphosis can be really painful, is usually corrected with surgery and can affect breathing and could also cause weakened muscles in the lower body.

There are plenty of braces that they can buy that will stop her further damage. They are also not as bulky as they used to be which is nice. She could even be taken to a specialist an get fitted for a custom one. Getting her to wear something would be a great task, one the parents we know don’t want to deal with the tantrums.

Surgery would not be a very good option for Abbie she would definitely have to live with it if it came down to it. Any type of spinal surgery is hard but for someone that doesn’t understand they can’t thrash and needs to limit their movements after they would never be considered a candidate.

PT she’s too lazy. And not sure if her skills are inline with what would be required.

Her parents definitely need pay more attention to her body in the present because it’s going to affect her future.

Anyone else notice in today's vlog when Priscilla was helping Abbie wash her face Asa said "sponsored by lipstick mama" and then commented on how soft Abbie's face was and plugged Prescilla's makeup live. I hate how they're schilling out this pyramid scheme to their followers. Also, after Priscilla finished with Abbie's skincare routine and Asa asked if it was ever this hard to get Abbie to do her skincare and of course Priscilla says no. They always talk about how great Abbie is at all these skills, but it just doesn't show in the vlogs. I don't doubt that Abbie makes progress, I just think it is slower than they are willing to admit (especially since the homeschooling started).

Just curious, where does the term hambeasts come from? lol Is it from some English fable?

And if she’d only apply sunblock as vigorously! FL life, bad diet, genetics, & tugging on her skin has made her look 20 yrs older.

To me personally, a hambeast represents an ugly person.

Not physically ugly, but someone who has an ugly selfish personality. If that person is obese, then that is just a bonus, as hambeasts are depicted as obese. I know one such hambeast and the cartoon I'm attaching is a personal favorite of mine, and has become an inside joke between my fiance and myself for more reasons than anyone here has time for!

They were both discussing their favorite topic, food, and ASSa told how much healthier they were all eating because of her new eating habits and mentions how it's all about eating in moderation...moder-what???

Is that even a word in their house when it comes to food...as the 'eating in moderation ship' sailed a long time ago, never to return!!

This does not look or feel right. In the second frame Abbie is pulling away and summer is still hugging her. Whether Abbie “likes squeezes” or whatever, they should not be doing this. Summer is weird

They all hang on her too much for my liking. I am not against hugs or affection. And I realize she is toddler-like, but "like" is the operative word. Abbie doesnt know who should or shouldnt be doing that....and making her hug strangers at meet-ups....it bugs me. Give the kid some space.

Omg I thought you guys were joking about Asa leaving the pool to clean Abby but in today's vlog she was rolling around in the dirt with black feet,next scene she was in the pool She was in her PJ's by dinner time with the same wet ponytail from the pool cleaning. They didn't even bother to brush her hair!

We just heard him tell the teacher she is great at life skills and not vocational skills.
Why would they put her in vocational? Maybe they are just now seeing how impossible is, and next year she goes back to the old program. ??
I do not ever see her being able to understand commerce. She may get used to handing over a debit card, but she will never understand cost, prices, change, etc. JMO

And if I remember correctly, they said when Abbie goes to the convenience store, she doesn’t understand about paying for items. They said she thinks it’s just hers for the taking. Also, about the teeth brushing routine yesterday, did anyone notice she just stood there and waited for Asa to prompt her. She didn’t make a move without his input. I really wonder about her future.

Abbie did well with the coins. But he still had to guide her hand once or twice.

He didn’t have to he chose to. It’s hard for him to back off. He finds himself guiding her hand the moment it looks as if she’s going to put it in the wrong spot, again he’s not giving her time to process. If she gets it wrong so what, pick it up and make her do it again.

Maybe an unpopular opinion..I don’t know. I don’t think Sandy was a well thought out idea. I would love a puppy, but I know I just don‘t have it in me to take care of and properly train. Oh, yeah...I would love the pup, but sometimes that’s not enough. Sandy deserves more.

Sandy being kenneled constantly only makes her a more hyper dog. Ass had videos of him training maverick about 2/3 years back. There’s NO excuse to not train Sandy except for pure laziness. Ass can’t say “well dog training centers are closed”, you wanted maverick to be a service dog for Abbie, he started training him, another half ass attempt with no follow through! Honestly EVERYTHING with this family...if it takes some work or time, they give up!!!

So annoying when they ask Abbie to choose and she opens that big pantry and stands there. .. then when she chooses something.. no , no, ok.. nature valley granola bar. Why dont they just get her a nature valley granola bar or sugary cereal in the first place and save some time? Wonder if that is just for the camera so it looks like she has more input and can make choices?

That really pisses me off about the dog. Why even get one if you are just going to lock it up all the time especially when you are always home. That is just like getting a dog and chaining it up outside all the time. If you aren't going to bothering taking care of it rehome it.
