Remember when she was crying in the vlog in which she ‘revealed’ the extent of Effie’s problems, and in the middle of the rant she said that she also didn’t want to be the only one to always have to take Effie for a walk? To me that was a small slip up toward the ‘real’ reason towards this— no not just walking Effie, but rather that she finds dog ownership itself to be overwhelming, and then Effie is more energetic and has some minor ‘extra’ needs, and this summer when she was super depressed and couldn’t escape Effie, and the idea of rehoming her at some point became more appealing.

I actually don’t even know if I believe the part about her seeing those dog trainers. Just because the line about Effie being the most nervous dog ever seen... by a trainer that deals with nervous and reactive dogs? is such an obvious lie. This about a dog who is regularly around people on camera.

I do believe that she’s seeing professionals, but probably the kind that would like to keep their business and make things seem worse than they actually are. Some people look for professionals that acknowledge their worries.

I think that she just can not be arsed to have responsibilities. She shared those responsibilities with Aslan and had another friend look after her dog when Estee went somewhere. Dogs have to be walked to too tree times a day, how can she go to all of her spa days/getting her nails done, going to other countries and such, all in one week, when she has to look out for a dog?

She's like those people who get a dog for their children realise that dogs need a lot of work and that they don't stay small and cute, so they dump them at the pound. Estee is just making sure that shes not getting the backlash when she does rehome Effie.

I have no sympathy for Estee, she has both money and time to figure out her own problems and getting help for herself and with Effie. If I remember correctly she got Effie quite shortly after Reggy died, she needed to fill a hole in her life and did not take the time to figure out what she really needed in life first.

Hope Effie gets a better home soon.

In one of her recent vlogs (annoyingly I don't remember which one to go back to) someone left a comment about how Effie seems to do well around other dogs and so maybe Estee should consider getting another dog for Effie. Estee replied something like she isn't against the idea but that she doesn't have a partner to help her with Effie/2 dogs. I think what you've said def hits a point, Estee seems to be dropping hints that it's more about her not having anyone to share the responsibility with. I know there has been speculation that Estee is currently in a relationship and I am still undecided on that, but I do wonder if this is all about not having a partner / having a partner that perhaps she doesn't see being able to help with Effie?

Thinking about it more now, back in the Aslan days Estee really seemed to have her tit together and when she moved out we saw just how irresponsible Estee seems. I don't think she changed so much but more I think it was just Aslan's influence and direction. Estee lacks the structure that her relationship with Aslan clearly gave her and I think she was expecting having a dog to be the same as having Reggie, and it isn't. It now all comes down to Estee and Effie has more needs than Reggie ever did. Even after they broke up, Estee had Aslan around to take Reggie when she needed to travel, on weekends and probably to vet appointments too.

Honestly I have zero empathy for her. She is responsible for a living creature and she better own up to it and try to give the dog the best life she can instead of just dumping Effie. It's not like this came as news to her, she got this dog with the best of knowledge and belief, fully aware she is now to take care of Effie, feed her, take her on walks and generally be responsible for her. If it's such a problem for Estee to walk her, then she should try introducing some kind of dog sitter into Effie's life who could take her on walks every other day or so if she must. But no, the constant witching about how Effie "ruined" her couch (lol) or will "ruin" a new rug combined with the horrific prospect of having to walk a dog on a regular basis makes me believe Effie will not be around that much longer. Then, when Estee feels lonely one night, she will adopt another dog and so the cycle will continue. Grow up, Estee and take some responsibility for your life.

Sorry late on this, but I thought I’d read on here that she lived in Elephant and Castle? I live in Bermondsey haha but don’t watch her vlogs regularly so haven’t seen where she walks etc! Interesting.

I’m actually quite surprised in a good way that she chose to live here rather than move to Notting Hill or Chelsea as someone else pointed out.. would’ve thought she’d want to prove a point to her bestie Amelia and try and live in the most privileged part of London. I mean Berms and Borough are super nice areas and have nicer new builds than the west even but I know some people who are snobby and can’t see beyond Chelsea/Fitzrovia.

The beginning of her latest vlog was SO uncomfortable to watch for me tbh...you'd think her being somewhat open about her current struggles (well, as open as she can be) would make her seem more relatable but it just made me want to slap her. I genuinely hope she's seeing a "vanilla" therapist at some point who helps her, because taking a shower, slapping on masks and listening to music while showering in the dark are not long-term solutions to her depression. God, her pouty/annoyed face when one -surely gifted and very expensive- speaker didn't work...

I noticed that Effie wasn't there (or was she? I skipped ahead a little sometimes) and wondered if she ever disclosed where Effie was during her Italy trips a few weeks ago, or her various other short trips she went on this year?

She was sitting on the sofa at one point and said Effie was beside her (at the 8:53 mark). I agree that she needs a long term solution rather than just doing little pick-me-ups.

I thought that the last vlog was a bit sad, she is obviously struggling with herself. I know someone who lives in London who has seen Aslan two weeks ago with a girlfriend and maybe she was always hoping that they would go back together. I don't think there's a reason for her to stay in London. She could move to Toronto and make new deals for her job. I think it's weird that she is still staying in London. She doesn't have real friends (where is Klaudia??) in the UK, maybe only Amelia that's it.

That vlog made me feel really sorry for her, she’s clearly suffering and seems to be projecting that onto Effie. I hope she gets some help beyond a shower and some incense (maybe it is just the impact of her body adjusting to coming off the pill)

Had a long break from watching and only seen a few recent vlogs but agree that Effie doesn't seem that bad. I have a reactive dog and wouldn't risk letting him off the lead, surely if she is as bad as Estee says there is a risk she'd bolt? Does Estee take her downstairs outside to toilet? I get that's much harder than just opening a door to a garden but she knew that when she took on a dog in a flat

No, not for several years now. It’s clear the connection she has with viewers is based on a parasocial attachment that Estée deliberately manipulates (when she feels up to it) to keep follower numbers up for her own benefit. She uses that idea of an ‘attachment’ from viewers to simply to make money for herself and for that reason only. She shows no interest in anything that isn’t, basically, herself, her looks, and makeup/clothes/presents that are given to her.

Even when she talks about friends (I say that because those are the only other people she ever really mentions, as if the world is made up of Estée, her friends, and her facialist, hair stylist, and acupuncturist), she never really seems interested in the richness or depth of adult friendship or anything, it’s like friends are nice items to have in her orbit that make her look good. When they leave her orbit she pretends as though they didn’t exist and are of no more use to her. She shows NO interest in ANY issue in the world, even in a year such as this. Everything she ever talks about comes back to her and her superficial outlook, and yet somehow everything is always terrible for her and with every privilege she’s given, she acts as though of course she should have this as a balm for her tortured soul.

I used to find her annoying at times but perhaps well intentioned, sometimes compelling, and a bit immature, etc. Now, I see literally no redeeming quality in her. I don’t get why she has followers but reading the comments on her YT or Insta, it’s clear people are projecting an idea of a girl that isn’t actually there.

Sorry if this has been discussed before but I think she was dating Klaudia. She went to NYC all the time when she lived there, they went on holidays together and basically hung out together all the time. Now it’s like Klaudia doesn’t exist anymore but more like an ex
