Something here just doesn’t add up. Her dad is a very smart, well educated guy and he’s always been very vocal and proud of his success whilst Erim tells a very different story… part of me thinks she has her family blocked from seeing certain stories because surely they would know someone would eventually call them out?? It’s been something like 20 years since they opened the first restaurant…. and everyone knows they’re extremely wealthy, it’s a FACT! I guess she invented this story to try and be more relatable - unfortunately people are starting to notice the inconsistencies now.

i feel like it's super obvious how much she's made stuff up, whenever she talks about "deep" stuff it always sounds so rehearsed and scripted. i'm not saying that her mum isn't dead but it's the reason why there were any speculations to begin with. and it's also the reason why it's believable that she treats her grandparents like trash and her grandmum doesn't have anything to do with byerim. it always sounds so rehearsed and like she has scripted something to sell to her followers.

I would have respected her so much more if she’d admitted from the start that she comes from a privileged background and had gratitude for her dad’s input in funding her business. right? it's not uncommon at all to see 2nd or 3rd gen punjabi daughters of immigrants be well off from childhood, especially those who have fathers in their lives. more than half of the california and canada punjabi influencers come from well off families and no one cares at all. but the second irum started lying about it, she dug herself into a deep hole. all because she wanted a pity party on instagram and just to feel like she's "not like other girls"
