Ok thanks guys, i just didnt get it. no one should large shame, but in certain aspects there has to be care for the horse? and their back, and bouncing around, or even jumping with a bigger rider surely isnt best at times. i dont get how she can come on and get upset, she puts herself out there she will get criticism, no need for the horrid comments but still health of a horse has to come first... as they cant exactly talk and tell you the problem?!
its the bouncing around and jumping with landing that makes me squirm for them, not large shaming at all as i'm not exactly the best shape of my life, but it really intrigued me how or what is allowed in weight limits and horses backs.

The reason being is because it’s instagram and when you base an app on how much people

You have also got a company like bed down slating people who say anything other than nice things. People are never going to tell the truth ,they are going to say what people want to hear to get reciprocal likes. This is why people
Live in a false bubble and can not take criticism at all. Sometimes you have to be told you’re tit to learn how to become better.
People cannot handle being told this anymore.
Also sorry being large is not healthy for horse or rider it’s a scientific fact. That’s not large shaming that’s saying if you want to ride you need to be under a certain weight or it is an animal cruelty issue.
Also weight loss comes with a simple fix you can eat what you want as long as you do enough exercise to burn it off and yes I have been large and now I’m not. Rant over

Im surprised Erin has bought a trick type horse.... I wonder who will help her to train it in the UK, unless there is someone close by its going to be a challenge for her. I suppose she can give it a nice life, but its just an instagram prop it seems.

Does anyone have any inside intel on Rebecca Kingswood’s missing horse, the chestnut think he’s called Rio. There’s something that just doesn’t seem to add up about the whole situation.
One rumour is he was sold fair and square but she never got the money for him
I used to like Meg Elphick too but I’ve gone off her the more I’ve watched her. I get second hand embarrassment watching how she talks to other people :/
I quite like Erin. I don’t think she’s that into the horses but she knows she’s a big fish in a small pond. She wouldn’t make it big in the modelling world or as a fashion influencer, so it’s actually quite smart to stick to the equestrian stuff.
Buying the beautiful new stallion is obviously a business move. It will increase engagement for her social media as well as her own brand.
Her horses are obviously very well looked after and she’s a nice rider, so I see no problem with it.

I really like Holly. She isn’t from a wealthy family, she is clearly very intelligent and worked hard to become a vet whilst also producing her home bred to 1.30, she knows what she is doing and she loves her horses and her job.
Of course, people have been going at her about how she is producing her ex-racer but blimey, she is doing well with him and do people not realise that we don’t all ride exactly the same?! It may not always look pretty but ex-racers are a whole different kettle of fish when it comes to schooling as they have only been taught to go in a straight line.
I think she is a great horse woman and seems very down to earth.
I also like Meg Elphick but we have the same sense of humour and like a bit of banter. Me and my family are wind up merchants so I guess I’ve been bought up with it
I also like Lucy from Footluce Eventing. She also has a dry sense of humour, doesn’t take herself too seriously and is bloody stunning. I must admit, I’m a bit (ok, a lot) jealous of her

I haven’t noticed this! I don’t watch her vlogs anymore. How old is she? She acts quite immature but I suppose she could be playing it up if her audience is young
Also the merch thing? I’m interested to know who buys it… Kids? Surely better to come out with something like what Erin does with Blackheart rather than something that’s branded around herself. Maybe that’s just me being old

Read a really interesting study lately that suggested saddle fit was far more important than weight and I saw someone making the point that we never question if a man is too heavy for a horse which is a very fair point.
However i think she’s a heavy rider and I hate watching her ride. By heavy rider I mean heavy in her aids. She posted ages ago when she first rode in Spurs that her instructor had told her to use them for her leg position which is the biggest load of bull I’ve ever heard.
Also for health and safety you can definitely still teach people without reins if you’re in a safe horse and safe environment. My coach helped me a lot with that!

There is a rider called Hannah Chisman who rides a very slight ex racer (hack type) called First Fandango at county level. She’s a larger lady, but she rides so beautifully and is very light in the saddle.
I don’t think Ray the Goth is necessarily too heavy for the cob, I just don’t think she’s a very sympathetic rider.
i agree on the ray bit. i think the cob can hold her ok but it’d be far more acceptable if she was a quieter, more sympathetic rider rather than just yanking at its mouth - i almost think in a way that makes her seem heavier? i can’t explain it lol
also just seen her story of geoff B riding at your horse
now i’m a dressage rider so maybe i’m pickier but WHY can’t he keep his hands in one position
they move up and down with himi know i shouldn’t be slating an olympian but still
