Late to the autism / pram talk but my 3 year old is on the pathway to autism (100% has it just waiting for the official diagnosis) he’s been in a pram twice since he started walking at age one because he just loves walking, cars, trains anything he doesn’t want to be strapped down. She’s pushing a false narrative that he has issues when all she wants is him to NEED her forever, it’s actually quite disgusting to see. Imagine wanting your child who seems perfectly fine to EVERYONE but her to be labelled just so you can carry on mollycoddling him it’s beyond bizarre she needs help

She’s done an Insta post of her and scraggy head in there bed together 🙄🙄 then Gaz has done his own post with a picture of him and Prim. Neither have liked each other’s.

With her obsession with Chesta.. Gaz must feel left out at times.. it’s a strange way to bring up a family.

Thank god Prim has got him.
This actually makes me SO sad! 😭 my heart breaks for Prim when she is finally old enough to fully understand and realise what her piece of poo mother is doing to her. It’s going to be heartbreaking. Luckily she does have a good father.

View attachment 1732237Anyone else notice this comment under his picture with primrose? Whats this all about 🤣
What the heck?! I’m cackling! 😂😂

If she is taking him to see specialists, I wonder what she hopes to achieve? My son is the same age as Chester and definitely has autistic traits (as do I), he’s on the never ending NHS waiting list for an assessment after being referred by his nursery. However I don’t feel any urgency to get him labelled as I don’t see how it would make any difference? His symptoms aren’t impacting his life enough to attract extra funding for school or anything like that, and school say he will get the same support whether he gets a diagnosis or not. At home we have just learned to live with his quirks and accept that we have difficulties with some things, and I’ve been reading up on strategies for autistic children which I’ll use regardless of his diagnosis if they work for him. Sorry if this comes across as ignorant, I just genuinely don’t know why she would want to chase a diagnosis like this as Chester clearly isn’t on the severe end of the spectrum 🤔
The nursery referred you? I didn't know they could do that?

A HV told me that my eldest could have it because he's behind on his talking. He starts nursery in January and I'm terrier the nursery will be judgemental.

I don't really know what autistic traits are and I'm terrier that they'll pick at something. Idk why really but I always feel judged when people bring his 'talking delay.' He was born 3m before the very first lockdown.

My son is speech delayed, the nursery were always really supportive. He’s still speech delayed but it’s less noticeable (he’s 5). We were referred to plenty of specialists but were told we wouldn’t get support until he was at school. I feel like I explained myself a lot but kids have speech delay for lots of reasons, lockdowns and Covid restrictions haven’t helped.

My 27 month old daughter has never spoken a word. She displays a lot of autistic traits and we just had the first step to hopefully get her on the path to a diagnosis.
she started nursery in September and wehave already noticed a big difference in her socially and the way she responds to things. Nursery have been amazing in taking the time and patience with her and I’ve never once felt like they’re judging me or my parenting.

Yeah, they referred him to speech and language first because at 2 years old he barely spoke a word (he started nursery at 9 months when I went back to work so they knew him pretty well by then) but then covid happened so we never got any support from them. By 3 his speech was a lot better but nursery had concerns about his understanding and social skills, so they referred him for an ASD / ADHD assessment which I think was via the speech and language service.
I think it varies massively from nursery to nursery though, ours were really keen but I know other local nurseries have been criticised by primary schools for not being proactive enough.
Also I’m speaking with hindsight so I appreciate it’s not easy, but try not to get too caught up in it all! I stressed myself out so much worrying what it would mean for his development and his life, but he’s nearly 5 now and doing amazing, school has been the making of him. There’s loads of reasons for speech delay so don’t ever feel like you’re being judged, the only people who have anything negative to say are the ones who have no experience / understanding of it but every child develops on their own timeline ❤

I thought I’d come across bleeping mumsnet 😂
Oh boreeee off , autism is a topic of convosation on this thread seeing as Emma is so desperately trying to diagnose the lord himself as an excuse for his brattish behaviour. Sometimes things that are brought up are relevant to ourselves and as other mums if we want to reassure someone’s worries with our own real life experience then we can!
if it’s not relevant to you or you don’t want to read it just scroll past a few posts honestly. Baffling how on a forum like tattle everyone thinks they can tell others what they are and aren’t allowed to discuss 🥱🥱 especially when Emma’s so bleeping boring there’s not a lot else going on.

Why don’t you bore off with your child. Don’t get triggered through a bit of sarcasm….then proceed to try and tell me what to do when telling me I can’t tell ppl what to do 😂😂😂 hypocrite much?
Back to Emma as this is what we’re here for and if you don’t want to read ppls opinions then take your Own advice and Scroll past rather than derail a thread 😉

Seriously don’t gripe about people who may be struggling and looking for reassurance. I bet the people getting at other posters are the ones who preach be Kind!

Anyways. Do you think the school think she's the issue? Cos I know that I can see she's the issue a mile off.

I often wonder if there could be any comeback on her? Is she risking having someone alerted to HER issues as she has many!
