Exactly this, I feel like if the waiting lists weren’t so clogged up with people just wanting a label to excuse certain behaviours / parenting that has been lacking, then those genuine cases who really need the extra support and funding would get seen so much quicker!

Not just influencers either, your average joe seems desperate for likes at any cost. What a mad worldYour completely right. My daughter is Autistic. She got all her additional support, EHCP, 1:1 teacher at school, occupational therapist, wheelchair services for special needs pushchair, speech and language therapy etc even BEFORE a diagnosis because as you said they get support if additional support is needed regardless of a diagnosis or not.If she is taking him to see specialists, I wonder what she hopes to achieve? My son is the same age as Chester and definitely has autistic traits (as do I), he’s on the never ending NHS waiting list for an assessment after being referred by his nursery. However I don’t feel any urgency to get him labelled as I don’t see how it would make any difference? His symptoms aren’t impacting his life enough to attract extra funding for school or anything like that, and school say he will get the same support whether he gets a diagnosis or not. At home we have just learned to live with his quirks and accept that we have difficulties with some things, and I’ve been reading up on strategies for autistic children which I’ll use regardless of his diagnosis if they work for him. Sorry if this comes across as ignorant, I just genuinely don’t know why she would want to chase a diagnosis like this as Chester clearly isn’t on the severe end of the spectrum

Of course she did what a weird woman she is. I’ve never seen someone thrive so much off the attention ill health brings her. She projects so many of her issues onto Chester it’s unreal!! All of his behavioural problems are caused by her parenting.

Even if she gets the diagnoses she wants it won’t matter if he has to go on any waiting lists as he doesn’t need any help. She’ll have the certificate printed out and framed and put it in her bio that she’s a special needs mum…..that’s all she wants it’s not for Chester’s sake
then Gaz has done his own post with a picture of him and Prim. Neither have liked each other’s. It gives her more content though! Thats the only reason I can see she's pining for a diagnosis. More money, followers and content! When in fact her son is a spoilt entitled brat with parents who have allowed this behavior and pandered to his every whim!! It's parenting help and support she needs, silly cow
