Ladies I just found a new style you tuber online she seems really great and actually has professional looking videos. She also focuses on slow fashion as she terms it meaning you find new ways to style what you have and thoughtfully buy. Alyssa Beltempo is her name.
Also on the Elle front I need to say the rust color paper bag pants are suppose to bagger, they are a loose style you should be able to sit down in them and not have the seams reinforced to wear them. Elle hunny we know you read her and I am hear to say we don’t care what size you are and in fact would respect you more if you were honest and said I am whatever size single and whatever size when I have a man trapped. So many people where commenting they wanted sizes as a reference for how it would fit on them and so they will stop watching when they realize that the sizing advice is fake.
I can stand fakeness and airs, I come from the own your tit mentality so maybe that is why I find Elle so off putting. It’s ok to screw up it’s ok to hit rock bottom but it is not ok to dwell there having a Pitts party.
Elle you love teen age girl terms so do a glow up series and get your tit figured out!

I love Alyssa! She often does "shop your closet" videos which I love. Plus, her style can be interesting and fun unlike Elle lol. She's ten times the fashion maven as Elle and 10 times more genuine-seeming.

Anyone here follow “mademoiselle”? Her name is Jamie-Lee, I believe. She’s an Australian YouTuber that has great style (though I must say she tends to buy multiple items that look exactly the same, but I digress). She did a Nordstrom sale video and it is such a breath of fresh air after watching Elle’s. Her carefully selected items are actually things I’d buy and she is also quite honest in her reviews.

Apparently the "puny" bottle was also getting knocked over a lot. Maybe if she trained her cats to not walk all over the kitchen counters (fecal matter on a food prep surface... shudder) or bought them some toys, they wouldn't knock stuff down.

I give her credit though for at least owning up to filling them with cheap soap when they're empty. Lots of influencers probably do the same but would never admit to it.
She’s so thoughtful and image-conscious when it comes to Jo Malone. Too bad she didn’t put this much thought towards the Joe she dated.

I think it has to do with the way the bra industry works. I was always buying 32 B's and C's because that's all the stores had...but none ever fit me properly. So I did a bunch of research online - turns out there are outdated ways of multiplying measurements to get your cup and band size. When I went by my actual measurements, the bra was so much more supportive! So I've gone down a band size and up a cup size (the cup letter is the difference between your ribcage and your bust). Go with your actual ribcage measurement- don't multiply it by 2 or anything. Then find the cup that fits. You don't want overflow or gaps. Honestly, I look pretty average if you were to see me on the street. It's just hard to find certain sizes in stores.
Yes this absolutely. I have big boobs. Not obscene but pretty big. I started with 34C but then went to 32D (Sister size) and had a vast improvement. But still, I never loved my bras and they’d hurt in diff ways or my boobs would always look more jiggly than others and I didn’t know why.

Finally I looked into it and did a proper measurement. Checkout “a bra that fits” on reddit.

Turns out I am 30F or 30G depending on UK or US sizing. It’s a misconception that D sized cups are super huge and anything bigger is pornographic. You would never guess I had that bra size. So many people go from thinking they’re 34A to actually being 30D and having a much better bra after discovering “abrathatfits” and the proper sizing and boob shape.

I’d encourage everybody with boobs to look into this. Positives to a bra that fits: more support, better posture, not having excess jiggling, etc

I personally enjoy Elle's clothing hauls (I have a similar body shape to her and to Chase Amie, more like Amie though). I like the floral blue dress (I think it looks good on her). But the other items are meh. She already has a lot of the same things already so why buy more? I mean how many cashmere sweaters and Rails shirts does she need? And doesn't she already own a Rails shirt in the same colour? I wonder how many of these items get returned later.

Elle needs therapy. Most girls would love to get the educational opportunities she had, the travels to Hawaii. She's better of than 99.99% of the population but still can't get a guy.

I admit I'm kinda jealous that Elle gets to go to Hawaii and live it up with Ginette. The diamond and luxury goods shopping, the eating out. I don't understand why she prefers to live alone in Seattle rather than in Honolulu with Ginette. Ginette is hardly a strict parent and would have cooked and cleaned for Elle.

I share an unusual last name with a world famous legend and our families originated from the same small town. If this was Elle's last name she would say "You could say we are related" just like she said about Joe that she could say they met while at university.

I like Jamie! Hers is a true "capsule wardrobe." She has great taste and is quite stylish. I would say her style is classic and classy. No ill-fitting, painted-on pants for her!

Another Canadian youtuber I like is ttsandra, although she's since moved Stateside to be with her husband. She's into fashion and makeup but IIRC also has a great career and a degree in biochemistry or something similar. She's pretty private and does not have to brag about her career or education.

That's great! I'm glad you found something supportive! If anyone is looking for bras with a band not usually carried in stores (30's, 28's as well as larger sizes), I can recommend Panache for sports bras. Amazon, HerRoom, and a few other sites typically carry "the off sizes" (I personally think there are more of us than we know). I'm still looking for a good tshirt bra, but Nordstrom (ironically) carries a 30 band Betsy Johnson bra. Wacoal, Natori, and Fantasie are a few brands to start off on and see what you like.

yes my go to now is BareNecessities.com and Nordstrom for wider bra selection. Of the standard American retailers, N actually is the best! Hah. Maybe I should check out their sale after all...🤪

I’m convinced most women are in the wrong bra hehe

Ohh, I always have an issue with strapless bras (they always feel like they'll slip off) - could it be a wrong size issue? I've only gotten my band measured three times in my life and they were at VS and Calvin Klein, and it didn't seem like the sales girls really knew what they were doing. I started with 34B, moved to a 32C, and then was told my band is actually 31.5 but to round up to a 32 since that's the closest size they have. Is there a good way or place to get properly measured?

You know some of us ladies (i.e. Smelley) rely on the jiggling. It's her version of a mating dance. :m

lolllll so true!!

In terms of getting measured, I’d recommend DIY. Follow the directions on abrathatfits.org with a tape measure or string and ruler. Use a mirror do you can see the tape is correctly positioned. You can also check out the reddit for more info.

I recommend this too. Get a sewing measuring tape (not the kind they use in construction, but the kind without the box attached), wrap it under your bust, and write that number down. Say that you're a 31.5 Since the 32's don't seem to be working for you, I would then size DOWN. Walmart or Target may carry a measuring tape in the sewing or crafts sections. Amazon should too.

I don't know that 31's get made, so maybe get your hands on a 30 and wear it on the most open hook. As the bra stretches, you will be able to move in to the 2nd and 3rd hooks. This will last longer for you anyways. I personally have some bras in my real size that are over 5 years old. When the band and the straps are your support, they can carry you through (sorry 😄) for a long time! ...and I've now got a strapless bra that I feel comfortable in...for the first time in forever!
