Gotcha! But I don't think she'd be on a learner's permit in Florida. In my experience, you just show the DMV you have a license from another country and they issue you a local one.

That said, Elle was barely in Florida long enough to even get her mailing address changed so I doubt she would have bothered to get a Florida license.

Not to mention that just about everyone with a desk job is working from home nowadays. And not to mention that she literally owns at least six bags that are big enough to hold a laptop. And not to mention that if you have a real job, you don’t carry around your personal MacBook — if anything, you might carry your work laptop, but even then, most likely you can connect remotely to your work computer anyway so there is no need to lug a laptop back and forth (where I work, cyber security is really high, and this is the way we worked from home pre-covid). Seriously, how idiotic can she get?

Yeah I get that. That wasn’t really the point that I was originally making which may be where the confusion came from. The point I was making is that it’s telling that she was wearing them AT ALL - regardless of where. We know she thinks she’s Blair Waldorf, and the fact that she wears these at all just hammers that home.

Yes! They’re super heavy and scratchy. The style is nice but not revolutionary and getting multiples because Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle wore one at some point is absurd.

And I think she actually has three, no? Doesn’t she have practically the same coat in black, grey, and camel? At least they are neutrals that go with everything, but the again, that’s exactly the point: they are neutrals that go with everything so you only really need one. But hey, if you feel you absolutely must own wool coats in those three colors the least you could do is get different styles altogether. And hey, you’re still going to need a down coat. Are you going to get three different colors for those, too? That’s six coats right there and you’re still going to need a raincoat, and maybe a spring jacket. By then, you’ve maxed out major real estate in your closet. Might as well be a bit more strategic about your purchases!

I honestly think she's lying. When she was doing that pandemic/Nurses House "fundraising," which we still didn't see the receipt for (a generic email from Nurses House thanking everyone who donated doesn't count!), her fundraising page was stuck at $300 or something for a month and when it closed, she said she raised way more.

She and MagicLinks matched funds to the total donation amount, apparently.

When is Elle Florence's birthday?? We aren't allowed to have people outside our household to come over for 4 weeks unless we quarantine ourselves beforehand...we can only meet up to 5 people outside..that means Elle can only have a party for her and her mom in her apartment. If she films anything showing a gathering she's breaking the rule.. especially if she's going to work with her briefcases

I wouldn't be surprised if she thinks rules don't apply to her....

Her birthday is in the first half of December but she has absolutely no one (apart from that mask-sewing friend) to spend it with. I suspect she will beg her employer to give her most of December off so she can travel to Hawaii for her birthday and Christmas. If she's a contractor then she doesn't even have to beg for time off, she just has to accept she will make zero $ when she's absent.
I doubt her mother would be coming to Seattle again just for Smelle's birthday, she's just visited her.

I know Smelle is a selfish pig, but all those "affordable" handbags longchamp etc and her mountains of clothing would be so better served to a woman's charity than lying in a crumbled mess on Smelle's dirty floor.
There are charities that provide interview appropriate clothing for ladies trying to get back into the workforce.
Why can't Smelle see a need other than her own.

Smelle has some serious hoarding issues. I don’t think she even realizes this (but we know you read here often!) but it’s a major reason why she has so much stuff, and why a lot of it is ugly and out of fashion (in addition to her bad taste). Eleanor Florence literally just collects as many things as she could and never curates her collection.

I agree with you that a charity would be a way better place for her “affordable” handbags. Because let’s be honest, Smelle is unlikely to ever wear them anyways, especially now that she’s mostly man-hunting and we’re in a pandemic, so most people are home more often than not.
