I’m not Edens biggest fan, but getting a diagnosis online over a video call is a legit thing. If you mentioned this to me before going through this myself I would have laughed at you, but it is legit.
I’ve struggled my whole life with what I now know is ADHD. I realised something was ‘not quite right’ with me, so after many years of ‘putting it off’ (ironic really), I thought I’d book a doctors appointment to see if I could be referred to an ADHD specialist etc. The closest appt. I could get was 4 weeks away, and that was to speak to my GP, to get referred. Anyway long story short I couldn’t wait. My impulsiveness made me book online with a private provider because I couldn’t cope any longer. I am in no way rich, or can I even afford private healthcare but I had no other choice as I couldn’t wait 2 years oh the NHS.
I had one video call which was about 2.5 hrs long and we discussed my symptoms, and all about my life from when I was a child until now. This was enough for a psychiatrist to ‘diagnose’ me. I know Eden can make tit up, and I don’t agree with 99% of the things she does, but it really does hurt seeing all the comments saying a video call can’t diagnose you. It most definitely can.
Sorry for the long post, I just wanted to maybe show online diagnosis’ in a different light than what is maybe being portrayed.
