So it's OK to harass women Jess doesn't like? At least she's being open about it now. But she's still a privileged white woman who doesn't understand what Black women (or any women of colour) go through and should stop trying to use them to make herself look like an expert

But suggesting women do this with clinical help is INFANTILISING and CONTROLLING them. And it’s PROFESSIONALISING trauma support and telling women they must engage with expensive services!!!!11

If it's a personalised response the tool is essentially performing a diagnostic function.

Has the tool been professionally validated by clinically trained, experienced &regulated people? Who has tool been tested on. What data sets have been used? Are the data sets from responses to previous contracted projects ? So many questions ....

The scary thing is that approaches like this may gain traction with politicians because initially they will be cheaper and play into the self help agenda.

I really don’t understand the point of this tool. It reads like a teen magazine questionnaire ‘what type of trauma personality are you?’ Loads of questions to bring up the memories & triggers of traumatic experiences from the past. And then what? I only got part way through, and got fed up trying to think if I’d experienced things or not.

Ah, but it's not a diagnosis, it's a "personalised trauma profile", whatever that's supposed to mean. I'm not sure Jess knows herself.

For anyone who finds their way here when searching for that tool: anything based on your responses to 26 yes/no questions is not personalised. Tick box quizzes are the exact opposite of personalised. The 'profile' you're given will be based on the number of boxes you tick in a given category, and the quiz has no way to assess which of those things had greatest significance in your life. It's like one of those "Which flavour of ice cream are you?" magazine quizzes. The results will be meaningless.

Conveniently, whatever has happened fully explains all the criticism on here (after someone wrote to 'whoever finds this thread looking for the trauma tool) eg the tool, why she always cancels events.

It also cements that everyone hates her and that she is a martyr to her cause, despite personal trauma all she thought about was others and the importance of her work to the world.

Selfless.

It was probably closely followed up by a plug for book.

Always some personal drama to vaguely allude to.

This is a great example of how Jessica manipulates her audience. A long vague post about how awful her life has been recently - so awful / terrifying / traumatic that they should be grateful she is alive. No specifics. Inviting traumatised women to imagine what horrors have befallen her, and of course, sympathise with her.

Then asking them to forgive her for running an unprofessional service. She says for the past few months but we know she has been terrible at managing her inbox for YEARS. But then, there has always been some situation - something deeply traumatic, exceptional - that can excuse that. Bear in mind she is always telling people to reach out, DM her. She’s accessible. But she never is.

whether or not you agree with her that professionals should be more open about their traumas - this is not the way to go about it.

She has a book due out, doesn’t she? Her timing re: posts like this is always worth paying attention to.

Yeah, she's always cancelled things last minute because she simply can't be arsed to do them.

There's always some dramatic excuse, but it starts to wear thin after a while before the penny drops and people realise it's all lies.

It doesn't make sense - Why would you have a sense of foreboding before the relevation or being made aware of it?

This is not someone who has ignored fears previously. Wasn't there a reference to hiring pp bodyguards?

Jess typing any moment now: “Feminists are gaslighting me and saying I have lied about being a victim of male violence!”
