Sorry I meant would it put you off carrying the bag? If she told you it was genuine, when you know it’s not, would you say anything?

i don’t plan on saying anything, it’s none of my concern how she spends her money and if she wants a fake that’s totally up to her, I was just curious about your guys responses!
Im gonna sound horrible 🤣🤣 If they told me it was genuine and I was certain it wasn’t, id be like hmmmm are you sure because xyz. Not so much to make them feel bad but to make sure they hadn’t been sold a fake they weren’t aware of.

Then I’d make sure I didn’t use mine at the same time 🤣

Yeah it would put me off a bit. As I wouldn’t want people to think mine was fake too . I’d say oh it look really different from mine, where did you get it, just in case she really hasn’t idea

ive seen a necklace I really like! Is this place legit? Have you bought from them before?
I haven’t bought from the market place , but I’d trust them cos it’s asos and just found this https://marketplace.asos.com/help/fashion-not-fakes?ctaref=mktp|footer|fashionnotfakes

Is she really pretending it's genuine, even to you? 🤦🏻‍♀️

Boring Question!
Those of you who have expensive bag collections do you insure them separately? With the way Chanel keep increasing their prices Ive noticed standard house insurance is not covering them anymore!

Yes haha, So she posted a photo of it and all the packaging and explained on the group chat she had just bought it from the store. But I know for certain it isn’t genuine (packaging, dust bag, the logo is so sloppy etc is a massive giveaway, especially when comparing to mine), it’s not even a good fake. Now she’s told us it’s genuine, but I’m sure she knows that I know, it’s not.

I don’t know if she’s expecting me not to wear mine around her in case our other friends see the discrepancies? Or if she thinks I won’t notice? I really don’t know haha!

I’m not judging her for getting a fake, she’s a very close friend of mine. I just don’t know how to react! 😅

Yeah I think it's best to just leave it then. But tbh if it was me, I would never tell a friend that I bought an authentic item if it wasn't 🤣

Where do you think she got the fake packaging? How weird of her! 😂
I have no idea where it’s even from! 😂 it’s so bizarre, I don’t know what to say haha, so I just said congratulations to her

Me neither, especially if that friend had an authentic item of the fake 🥲

Honestly, it sounds like she’s either got it off eBay or something and thinks she’s got a genuine but it’s not, or she knows it’s fake and has went through the effort of sourcing packaging to make it look genuine….providing it sounds like you had the item first I’d say it sounds like she’s trying to compete with you. Is she a competitive person? I’d use your bag weather she will be wearing hers or not…the differences will be clear to anyone and plus if I was trying to pass a fake off as real id be massively intimidated with someone having the real deal so close to my fake…you’ve bought the bag to use, just because she’s bought a fake shouldn’t put you off :)

A lot of fakes do come with very close packaging, just take a look on eBay

Guys, what would you do if your friend purchased a fake of a real designer item you owned?

And to expand on it, what would you do if they got compliments on it and people said “awwww you and scorpihoe have the same bag” 😅
I wouldn’t be able to help myself so I’d probably make a sly little dig about her spending so much money to have us matching but make it clear I’m not pleased about the matching part. Real or fake, the fact its the same would annoy me as I’d feel like a school girl again with matching stuff to my best friend😩

..although my sly dig probably puts me in school girl territory anyway 😂😂😂

Tell her you noticed something isn’t right with her bag so maybe she should take it back to the shop to complain. Only joking I’d just not say anything and just know that I know it’s fake 😄

Fakes these days are WAY more expensive than I ever recall. Someone I know spent £400 on a decent fake but.... £400!! My Loewe wasn't even that and my LV vintage bag was less than that too! Id rather just have a completely non branded bag of similar style than spend that on a Faux number.

Maybe she thinks its real and has bought it from ebay or something so saying she got it from a store. I know a girl who has a fake ysl puffer and neverfull, her boyfriend bought her them. I can spot them as fakes a mile away. I have a loulou and the logo on hers isnt close to the real one. I would never say but I know she believes they are real and I always wonder if hes bought them on dhgate for her and pretending they are real or if he is naive and also tjinks they are real without knowing better

I agree with this and always say the same! I’d quite happily just use a bag from zara or wherever rather than buy a fake

I've done it when I've had my Tiffany bracelet repaired as they always send a new box etc. Easy £15-20 for meeee 🤣

Mad that people even pay that for it! But yeh good for you 🤑
I got £15 for the Cartier travel pouch aswell! I've kept my box/bag etc of course but seeing as I wear it 24/7 it's going to get scratched and tbh I'd definitely lose it in a pouch lol
