Has anyone added a rubber sole to their Chanel ballet flats? Contemplating getting mine done as don't find the grip on them great sometimes!

What's everyone's thoughts on Mulberry? My sister has a big birthday next year and has been hinting at a Bayswater which I was gonna split with my parents but one of the girls at work reckons the quality is quite poor these days. I've got an Alexa from years ago which still looks great but I'm not knowledgable at all so advice appreciated!
So she tried the Bayswater and hated it lol. Way too heavy and bulky - someone on here pointed that out and you were right! She's settled on the LV Neverfull MM (damier ebene) which is a little more expensive than the Bayswater but you can't go wrong with the Neverfull, and you get the pouch with it too. I think the Neverfull is ideal for both a work bag and travelling whereas the Bayswater is just this big bulky thing and looks so formal no matter what you do. I'm not sure where the Bayswaters are made anymore but honestly I don't think I'd be happy paying £1k for something that was made in China.

And of course being in LV had me eyeing up everything and seriously considering the Alma BB now...

Yes, I have, purely for practicality but I wish it wasn’t necessary as although it’s a good neat job it spoils them!

I know exactly what you mean, they look about unsightly don't they. I did it to my Gianvito Rossi pumps but because they're black it doesn't look too bad. Whereas my Chanel ballets are the beige and black colourway. I think I'm still going to do it!

The pairs I had done are black so not too bad but as I wear them as everyday shoes they were like ice-skating when wet, which is often in this country 😆 I had half soles if that makes sense so it just covers to halfway along the instep. If it’ll make yours more wearable, it’s a no-brainier!

I just noticed on Brand Alley they have vintage Cartier jewellery. Good prices if anyone is looking for a Love or Trinity Ring!

ETA there are also Hermes, Chopard, LV, Dior pieces too

Balenciaga Neo Classic mini arrived today and its beautiful! It carries everything I need for a day/night out - at the moment I've got a purse, hand sanitiser, pill box, powder and powder brush and a mask in there and still some room left. I'll probably use a card holder with it instead of a purse, my purse fits fine but I'd rather something a bit slimmer as its a smaller bag. There's a little internal slot in the bag though which I'm gonna use for the time being.

It was always my dream bag and I finally bought one preloved about 3 years ago, absolutely adore it!

The mini above is bloody gorgeous 😍

Hey guys, I have a bit of an unusual question for you.

I’ve been after the Romy bag by Celine for ages, but I can’t justify spending that much money on a bag right now. I’ve been looking for more affordable alternatives, do you think this one does the trick? I don’t wanna buy replicas

Yes!! Would definitely go for the affordable alternative now. They do look very similar. See if you use it loads and you can always in the future choose if you want to get the Celine one

Thank you 🥰 I’ve just ordered it to see if I like it and if it goes well with my wardrobe. I might splash out on the Celine one if I like it enough!

I am tempted to buy a Chanel tweed bag but terrified of the wear and tear.

Any thoughts?

TIA

Does anyone have a YSL shoulder bag? Are they worth it? I wanted the LV Pochette Accessories but I think a YSL would suit my style more. Or if anyone has any other suggestions on what I should spend my birthday/Christmas money on 😘

I personally think so as I like how understated they are. I’ve found mine wear really well too!

which ysl shoulder bag are you looking at?
The hobo? If so yes I think they’re worth it. The smooth leather can be a little tricky but if you are no planning on wearing it everyday should be fine. I have the white one I haven’t yet wore it my husband got it me for Christmas. I’ll probs save it until the weather changes and I’ve had my baby.

I like the first one more! I don’t think I’d wear it every day but that’s really helpful to know, thank you! And congratulations! ☺

I have the LV pochette accessoire and it’s lovely, very nice for nights out because it’s lightweight and fits a lot. It’s more my style than the YSL one but the YSL is beautiful 😍😍

What's everyone's biggest designer regret?

Years ago, I bought the 3.1 Philip Lim Pashli satchel with some birthday money and noticed the medium size was on sale (at the time, it retailed at around £700 and I got it for £450 - bargain). I hadn't actually tried the bag on but assumed it'd be fine because I liked larger bags at that point and the size down looked too small. Anyway, it arrived and my word, this bag is HEAVY and so horribly bulky. The clasp on it is such a pain in the a too, it doesn't close neatly and you have to stop what you're doing to fumble around with it to close it. The hardware is a bit scratched as a result.

Poor thing has sat in a dust bag in my cupboard for years! I've tried so many times with it but it's just not comfortable for day-to-day use. Crossbody is a no, it bashes up against my hip and my shoulder hurts if I carry it on that way. It's ok if I carry it by the top handles, but the clasp problem really puts me off from using it.
